We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. What to expect
This is not a McCopy ROM. What goes into our build is well thought-out and not a bunch of stuff duck taped together because we could.
Maximum optimization. We do our research. We test hard. We build -fstrict -O3 globally and include a massive array of code optimizations and memory leak fixes that we write ourselves and eventually submit to AOSP or Linaro.
Originality in our source. We generate a lot of new commits being features or general code improvements. We are open source to share and improve the community but we also try to make sure we offer a unique experience.

Buddy some problems which i noticed after flashing
first of all no recovery in the kernel included in zip
second when i add immersive mode from status bar it gives setting fc and it also disables entry into tiles and layouts option from status bar
then bootanimation takes very long time for one second i thought rom is not booting
I cannot seem to make it work. This is what I did:
1. Unlock my bootloader
2. Flashed the boot.img from Phantom Kernel v7 (TWRP 2.7.0.0)
3. System successfully turned on
4. Tried to flash the Vanir zip from TWRP, but it shows error.
5. So I flashed the boot.img from inside the Vanir zip
6. Now the device won't start in recovery, let alone in system.
Please let me know what to do.

OK, I did it. Here's the complete steps:
1. Unlock bootloader
2. Flash boot.img of Phantom kernel JB v7
3. Start up the system, if everything is fine proceed to next steps.
4. Turn off and flash boot.img from CM11 BETA2 by varun.chitre15
5. Reboot in recovery and do a complete wipe
6. Flash Vanir zip, Gapps and graphical fix
7. Reboot, first boot takes long.
Is the camera quality on this rom better than cm11 beta 2?

Well maybe work fine but if you begin to find rare failures, it would be best to reinstall doing a clean install.

Did a clean install but I get quite a bunch of force closes in the settings. Audio, Rom control , and some others, will check for more now.
Can't even find any rom control app in the system, is it missing . please fix the release

I just asked pac doesn't even have rom control anymore, so what's up with that?
Looks pretty good, as already mentioned there are FCs in some settings. Besides what's already been reported, Performance Ctrl also FCs..The rom should be good though, when these fixes are made.

If I remember correctly, I think AOKP has gone away from Rom Control.

Yeah, that's why I said if I remember correctly but wasn't sure. I read so much different stuff, sometimes it all just seems to meld into one big ball of Android. Doing a quick search just now doesn't seem to indicate that AOKP no longer will have Rom Control.
I hope it still does, one of the coolest features in a rom.

Q: Why don't I have root access after installing OmniROM?
A: OmniROM does not have an official, prebuilt root method yet, so you'll just need to flash SuperSU in recovery and you'll have 100% working root access. SuperSU can be found here: SuperSU

I did load it up seems to run just fine, missing alot of features I like to use such as hardware keys (custom settings) which is the main thing and the general interface options so I'll wait for some future tweaks.
I'd love to try this but again what are the tweaks in this rom? What do they differ from others and what are the same?

Right now there are less than CyanogenMod, it is very close to stock AOSP at this point, but Gerrit review is overloaded with tons and tons of new features, theres at least one or so new features being merged in daily. Read the articles I posted in the OP for more information on that from the OmniROM team themselves, their philosophy, and future plans
It might be missing some extras, but this is a very solid ROM.
I've only found two minor issues that are probably upstream issues. The capacitive buttons never light up. I'm pretty sure that's a known Omni-wide issue. Secondly, I got root to work, but OpenVPN Installer still says it can't remount /system as rw. I even tried remounting it rw first in root explorer, but it just won't install the OpenVPN binary. I'm guessing that's related to root not being built in.
Battery life seems good given how much I've had the screen on (50% battery with over 2.5 hours of screen on).

Huh? Recovery is NOT built into the kernel for this device. Its in a different partition of its own. There is no compiling TWRP over CMW for this device. Recovery needs to be compiled separately if you're trying to compile your own. Just look in the device repos.

Edit: When selecting "reboot to recovery" the phone just reboots and doesn't go into recovery. Same when you select reboot to bootloader too. Just straight reboots the phone.
Edit 2: No root access. Tried 4 different root apps and they all said the phone was not rooted. After flashing the SU zip, still the same result.

Root is built in and should be enabled through Dev Settings.
See notes in post two, to enable them.

That's odd, working fine for me.
You tried enabling and then disabling the toggle again after you tapped build number?
You saw popup after tapping 7 times and got a popup toast that they were enabled?
I don't know what more to suggest, as it works fine for me, after the initial setup.
But this won't be necessary in the next build. May be a bit though before I get to it.
As I'm moving this week, but it should be able to work now.

Sounds like maybe an older version of CWM.
You may wanna update your Recovery, or deal with it like you did, that works too but isn't the recommended way.
Updating your Recovery version should eliminate that.

Yeah they may use an older formatting to prevent having to use a newer recovery that is set up for kitkat syntax.
This uses the same install script formatting that the latest versions of CM uses.
I know that it works on the latest version of Twrp for my device (m7vzw) just fine.
It also works on the latest CWM just fine.
Sounds like you are probably using TWRP 6.4.3.0 or something like that.
I don't know the latest version for your variant or what version you have.(you didn't say)
But it was around 3.3 - 3.4 that it switched to the new formatting.
That's the best I can tell you.

clear all recents button is gone after first use.
also this rom does not have airplane mode on/off grayed out bug on power menu

I feel with the boot animation you hit the right spot.
Sometimes we try many ROMs and the boot animation is the first thing that we see in any ROM. For few we just end up concluding, its the same!! lol[emoji12]
This felt little different. Even the ROM is good. Great start bro!!

Not yet, as we are setting up out OTA API right now. So maybe from the next week? Can't say for sure for the next week. But OTA updater will be added up soon!

Its my daily driver right now.
The ROM is as good as it was when I flashed it the first time. It has not bogged down and No signs of lags at all. Feels good.
I am happy with this rom. This is my daily driver. I don't face any problems with this rom. @ace312 Can you add ace music player

Firts let me thank you for this awesome port of miui to our device. I have found bug that you haven't mentioned, Bluetooth is crashing. I hope you will fix sim bug so we can use this rom for daily use.

There're many apps that are force closing. We're trying to fix them; port a ROM is harder than compile from source.
