[Q] Nexus S 4G never downloads files..fix please?

I can't seem to download any files with my nexus s 4g. Usually I attempt to download files from xda either with the app or the site through the browser. I'm always told in downloads and the notification bar that the download was unsuccessful.
Is this due to a setting somewhere? Data profile or the like? Any fix or work around would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Glad you got it to work. I just got the NS4G 2 days ago and on the way home from Best Buy I was trying to download MIUI but kept getting the same error lol
Oh, and if you d/l from browser the file should be in /mnt/sdcard/download

yeah, i found it. the first download didnt take.
That's normal. Android doesn't download files that it doesn't know how to open, usually you are able to download a mp3 or a jpg, cause it knows these files. A file manager helps with files that it knows, but if you want to download ANY type, just install "Download All Files", an app from the market...

Why don't you buy an sd-card?

I suppose you can enter your phone with USB link to your pc. Then your phone will seen as external disc and you can add documents on it.
Hit thanks button if I helped you.

Asphalt 7 HD

Hello, I have downloaded all the files the apk and the required files are 1GB and put the files under sd card/android/obb but still requires me to download the required files again. Did I do something wrong?
Delete and clear cache and data and do the same for market and then redown load and before you download go into quick settings and tick screen on and plug the USB cable in this will keep your screen on while downloading this is what I do when downloading a large app

I have the data files for Asphalt 7 in my sd card. I was told to place them in android/obb. I placed them in the obb folder however, I was asked to redownload the data files again when I launched the game. I have the game data files in my sd card, under android/obb folder... I'm not downloading from the market since there's someone offer it for free.
Then ask there (where you have did the download)
Warez is not supported in xda

Use root uninstall to uninstall it and delete all its data then reinstall it back and patch it with lucky patcher then copy the ad data back to obb folder then you're ready to go

Yes that is true warez isn't supported by xda and also downloading any type of warez file you should know that you want get updates as well just delete that crap and download from the market

XDA developers does not condone warez.

File Transfer via WiFi

Since our Galaxy Note is, when connected to PC recognized as a media storage device, transferring files is annoyingly slow.
In some HTC HOX thread somebody had an app to transfer files over WiFi.
I have tested it and think it's worth a try:
"WiFi File Transfer"
Push Thanks if this was helpful.

Dropbox downloads

Is there any apps that I can use to download dropbox folders to my ad card? I've been trying to use es file explorer but it just seems to get stuck. I'm doing everything over mobile data rather than WiFi if that makes a difference? I did look at dropbox folder downloader, but it says it doesn't work for 4.4 yet?
