[Q] Is there an easier way to toggle beats audio? - HTC One Mini

The only thing that i hate about my new One Mini is how beats audio is buried at the bottom of the settings menu, instead of being easily accessible from the task bar in my previous phone the HTC ONE S. I dont like having to go all the way there to turn it off or on every day when transitioning from headphones to speakers or from music to video. Is there some kind of app or something that can act as a toggle widget for beats audio or is there a way i can get it back in the taskbar?

I'm sure you can set a quick setting tile to toggle this. If I remember right it was using sense toolbox for xposed framework.

Unfortunately yes. I may be mistaken too. Haven't got the phone at hand at the mo. Also prolly not worth routing just for that.

Apparently there's an LED that only lights when the battery is too low to power up. I've never seen it.

if you have to have it (I like the active notifications better), you can use the xposed module Gravity Box to cause the buttons to flash with notifications. I'm sure there's other options that do the same though, but you run the risk of losing battery a lot faster (hence the purpose of active notifications)

[APP] Volume BOOST LG G2 NO NEED ROOT

I really disliked the low volume of headset on lg g2 which was not loud enough and lack deep bass. I tried different volume MOD but none of them made any significant difference . Finally i found this app ..such big relief..it increased voulme almost double without any distortation and you can switch it on and off with simple widget.. its working great on cloudy stock kit kat 4.4.2..i purchased the paid one just to support developer but you can try free version 7 day trial and see it yourself difference it make

It does work!
Just download it for my LG G2 and it does increase the sounds volume. I didn't want to root the phone or anything as I only brought it this week and to void the warranty on the first week would just be awful!
Without the app, the sound is still very detailed and smooth sounding, but what it does lack is the power and scale of the iPad driver for example. For me, the iPad driver is the best, but the LG G2 is still very detailed. With this app, you get that touch of more power which means increased bass. There is a decrease in sound clarity when this app is in use, but this is not major and doesn't reach uncomfortable distortion levels.
Overall a great app which is free for the first 7 days but then payment is required. But confusingly, it says on the app store that the app costs £1.19 but you actually go on the app and click 'buy complete version' it gives you a link to the Play Store to buy this fish app that costs £2.59. Confusing?
But well done for finding this app for the people who don't want to void their warranty! Much appreciated! I tried around 10-20 apps this week to increase the volume but every single one did absolutely nothing, like LG had blocked anyone from changing the volumes :S

Nope it's not, disabling safety didn't change anything for me on cloudyflex 2.3. This app on the other hand... wow it really amazed me!!!
This app doesn't do anything. It makes treble high and distortion comes along the way. It just gives you false perception of loud music.
This thing comes with junk and was uninstalled right after trying it.

anyways.....
anyone using the app notice the home and mulitask buttons are slightly larger than the back key?
edit: original post updated...
I'm using SoftKeysz and observing some "ghosting" behavior where the "up graphic" ^ overlays the home key, which causes the home key to stop responding. the only fix is a reboot. Anyone else experiencing this behavior and/or have a fix i might try? thanks!
EDIT: Fixed, something related to XBlast or GravityBox options i selected. I thought i had disabled them, but i didn't. I disabled both apps and ghosting went away, will have to see which option (if any) was the causing my problem.

Mine themed, but most of the time one button (in my case the recents)...was huge. and wouldn't correct itself for some reason, even if I used GravityBox to shrink the Navbar. No idea...guess I'll wait for the next update..I really like it though - lots of cool designs on there.

yep, i have same problem , i'm on viper ROM.
The app needs to be compatible with gravitybox.. will report this in the original thread app

before I go and do something stupid...

I'd like to at least tweak my dpi right now. Will tinkering with build.prop trigger the automatic system restore?
edit: just tried it, nothing triggered. one issue for anyone else who wants to change their dpi (this way, at least), if you have an S-View cover, the S-View seen doesn't scale. it ends up shrunken in the upper left corner.
also, the camera app is shrunken and to the upper right. weirdness

[APP] HTC Gesture Listener [concept]

This is more of a proof of concept that might be useful to lock the screen.
Does not require root.
HTC's framework detects gestures while the screen is on, this is actually broadcasted to all applications, but the only app that reacts to it is HTC's Media Output (Three finger swipe up or left-right).
This app is both an implementation that reacts to a three finger click to lock the screen, and a dev concept that shows how to react to the gestures.
If you want to use this to lock the phone, just tap with three fingers anywhere after enabling device admin.
Download:
http://mohammadag.xceleo.org/public/Android/HTCOneM8/
Source:
https://github.com/MohammadAG/HTC-Gesture-Listener
More dev stuff:
If anyone is interested where this happens, it's in services.odex's com.htc.server.gesture package.
This is one of the best hacks I've used for the m8 so far ... Very simple yet tasty ?
Thanks..and keep up the good work

The app is simply a listener, it does not enable anything, in fact, if a three finger gesture is not detected by the system, as far as the system is concerned, the app does not exist (it does not take CPU cycles, or memory, or any resources besides storage for the APK).
Therefore, it's technically impossible for it to cause any battery drain. I have no idea what happened on your phone, but it's likely a coincidence.
With that said, my reply was a bit rude, so apologies for that.

You'll need to enable the app as a Device Policy Manager. You have to open the app once for Android to confirm it wasn't maliciously installed.
