There's no way until you ask some developer to change the whole firmware to do it. And why do you want to change the logo??? It's useless... You also don't even need to change the animation, live the beauty of the phone within not by looking at its boot animation...

There's no such file with this text "Samsung Galaxy Core GT-I8262" that you can change it...
It must be in framework.res or somewhere deeper..

Nope guys. Its not dealing with any apk or any jar file.
U need to edit kernal which is boot.img
Kernal contain dat splash image. Which op need to change.

Hi. I have no idea of how your partitions are named but botlogo on samsung devices is usually hidden in param.lfs / param.bin, or something like that. If not, then it's probably inside bootloader.

Its in the ramdisk.. change the initlogo.rle

Ok. Question is, is that the one that is being used? I thought Samsung stopped using ramdisk for logo a long time ago.

It should be.. I dont see any other reason to put a initlogo.rle in there.. but still I would check in the kernel sources and confirm it to you.

Samsung is funny in that way. They seem to add stuff that is not even used :laugh
I know devices which have a param.bin with all bootlogos inside, but still they are not in use. Images is being called in bootloader instead, just as the param.lfs work (bootloader image cache partition).
Anyway, you don't have to look it up for my cause. I don't own this device myself but was only trying to get OP some directions on where it can be found based on my own experiance on bootlogo mods.

I tried to get android 4 on my unlocked samsung galaxy fit and have broken it. when i start it up it starts up saying "samsung", then "samsung fit", then it goes on to the purple andriod on a skateboard in a circle arrow (Cyanogen logo), then just says "android". I left it over night and it still stayed SAYING "android". I used this website (i am not aloud to put a website on this thread but google this and it will be the first one to come up):

No 11 is more like what could happen if stuff goes wrong...its not really a step, but more of a state your phone might go into if you do things wrong...
Kind of like "clearing the air", since people use the word "brick" too often...

Flash a stock rom, preferably of your region...
Sent from my g-fit using xda premium
Why dnt you try a different rom...
I suggest u fitdroid 3.5.. Its very nice..
Just download the fitdroid rar file and patch file. In your pc. G then connect your phone to pc..go toclockwork mod
and then go to advance then mount sd card.. Then the phone will connect to the pc now copy both files in the sd card.. Then unmount
navigate to the file and just flash it via clockwork..
remember 1st u hav to flash fitdroid file then flaash patch..

Galaxy SIII bootanimation

I just wanted to share the Galaxy SIII bootanimation.
Download here
I can't remember what the Skyrocket's stock bootanimation was, so forgive me if the s3 bootanimation shares the same bootanimation as the Skyrocket.
Here's is the same bootanimation that I modified a little too make the "S" look like it is "shaking". Go ahead and check it out. You might like. Download here
Don't forget to rename to bootanimation.zip

Youtube Video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ViA0XwDLsA

for Root unzip the files... copy
bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg to system/Media...
It should be possible to add a boot sound too
Is there any credits to be given here ?

Nice work, thanks~
Is there anyway to insert/create own boot animation? I want to change my default boot animation to cyanogenmod. But the animation file formats are different.
Nevermind. Found a way to do it.
Can you make for i9500 too?

The current is snapdragon and related to this.
To make it Exynos 5 octa...
Works perfectly on Wanamlite rom.
Only thing i changed was removing the boot sound.
Hopefully the op will add proper credits or I will ask the threads be closed.

I know what a PC bios is genius. I'm saying the proper number of frames to make it animated, the layout and described items are not ideas of your own. There was work that you copied for android and boot animation.zip and you and I both now the truth. Calling names and pulling 1984 bios doesn't change that you kanged without proper credit and that is the worst thing someone can do on XDA.

If you're going to have a prayer of getting pictures and contacts off your phone you're going to have to become a techie. If you can boot into recovery you might be able to use adb to pull the files off. Yea, techie stuff but that's your only hope.
If you can't be bothered to learn you're in the wrong place.

You must take bootanimation.qmg and shutdown.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg and bootsamsungmini.qmg and bootsamsungminiloop.qmg and make sure you set permissions the good way! That mini is when animation is gone and the Samsung logo remains animated! Very cool
