I'm not a Tipo user, but people say this Gimlo ROM is best for dual SIM phones - unless you're happy with only one SIM, in which case you case you can install CM10 on your dual SIM phone (only one SIM works).

bugs
custom roms have lots of bugs I m current using cm10 and It has bugs

why we don't have any cm roms support dual Sim for our tipo ?

It's really simple. They don't have the drivers. So they stop develoment about it.

[Q] Should I buy the dual sim version?

Hey guys,
Should I buying the dual sim version Moto G?
Because there is'nt / not yet any single sim version Moto G here,
I'm considering this:
1) I heard that CM doesn't/not yet support the dual sim smartphone, is that true?
2) Can I use the single sim custom rom on the dual sim version? (It's okay for me even if the custom rom works with only 1 sim card)
3) If I can't install the single sim version custom rom on the dual sim version right now, is there any possibilities that the single sim custom rom will work on the dual sim version someday?
Because I think it's meaningless if I use an android phone, but I can't change anything on it
Any help will be much appreciated,
Thanks

you should buy the dual sim version without worries coz:
1) CM supports the dual sim version fully!
2) most of the single sim custom roms run on the dual sim version. you just have to flash the US stock firmware.
3) you can root it and get xposed to get most of the features custom roms provide and also remove the unwanted apps with root uninstaller if you decide to stay with stock rom.(there is not much bloatware anyway, pretty much stock kitkat)
also we are not talking about any android phone here, its the only phone under $200 with kitkat..
edit: i just realised that this is a very old thread! so u might have already made a decision and cm was not supported at that time...

The roms that do not work use the US or european or brazilian radio.. so if u wanna install those roms u will have to install the respective country's rom and radio...

Questions !!

For Moto G dual sim version will the followng things work ? or how to make it work ?
1] Will roms from single sim work ? ( only one sim working after flashing )
2] Can I flash Single sim Firmware ?
3] Are there any hardware changes in the dual sim like chipset or anything minor ?
4] Has anyone tried Roms or firmware from single sim ?
5] These questions are bugging me from so long so had to ask.
:good:
Please use search feature before making question... Yes there are 3-4rom working fine with dual sim version with one sim working like gpe rom, cyanogenmod

[Q] costum rom no mobile network

Hey i have lately flashed lot of costume roms and none of them has mobile network so i cant make calls neither sending messages my device is sony xperia tipo dual st21i2
Hi, first of all since your phone is the dual sim variant which sim slot are you using, I know it sounds silly but even small things can cause big issues. Also are what custom ROMs are you using as you may be using single sim ROMs on your dual sim phone which would cause issues

Kind attention CM12 developers: Dual Sim Support

This is a kind appeal on behalf of all Z3 dual variants users, please add support for dual SIM models of Xperia Z3 series in CM12 base ROMs.
As per my personal experience, the CM12 installation goes successful, but SIMs are not detected, so no call function...this is the only major one for dual SIM models other than common/known bugs.
Thanks in advance!

Dual SIM support highly appreciated !
Same here, if someone could help us develop something
That would be great
Wait for it...
The next Nightly of Cyanogen may fix that (20150218).

Xperia Tipo dual bacame single SIM

Hi..
I have an Xperia tipo dual with stock ICS.. Unlocked bootloader.. I had to replace the screen and when it came back.. The guy who replaced the screen flashed the firmware of Xperia Tipo Single SIM.. When I got the phone I reflashed the Dual SIM firmware and I was still not able to get the other SIM slot working.. So now one SIM slot works and the second one doesn't.. Does this have anything to do with the fact that it's UBL? And can I ever have it fully working? Or maybe the guy who replaced the screen broke the SIM slot? Thanks in advance
Kindly press thanks if I helped
Can someone help please?

this could be a hardware problem, what do you see in the status bar? do you see the number 1 or 2 next to SIM icon? if so, then it is a hardware problem, and needs to be repaired
wish you the best
