I am really excited to hear that there will be two quad core tablets from Cube to hit the market some time this month, as I have been a fan of Cube ever since the MP4 era because of its excellent quality and reasonable price. I saw their product posters in their chat group this morning, and I wanna share this information with you guys here:
1. Quad core U30GT1 (Pea 1)
The Cube U30GT1 is the sister version of its widely celebrated Quad core U30GT2 tablet. Powered by the same impeccable quad core RK3188 Soc., the U30GT1 has downgraded the display resolution to WXGA (1280*800), and the rear side camera to 2MP.
As you have probably figured out already, this tablet is marketing towards users who need a 10.1 inch quad core tablet yet on a tighter budget.
Highlights:
-10.1 inch high quality display, 1280*800, wide viewing angles.
-RK3188 Soc., based on 28nm workmanship and Cortex-A9 frame, speed up to 1.8GHZ, Mali400-MP4 [email protected]
-1GB RAM. ANTUTU Benchmark Score exceeds 18,000!
-Dual Cameras + LED Flash.
-ACC stereo speakers.
-Anti-rolling frame.
-Built-in Bluetooth.
-Intelligent light sensor
-HDMI
-7,200mAh Li-PO battery
Price: RMB 1,199 (USD 199)
The fact that Cube hasn't cut corners on the Bluetooth, anti-rolling frame and HDMI is actually quite impressive. A WXGA display with decent viewing angles is nice enough for the majority of users, and the reduction of pixels actually means speedier overall performance. The 2MP rear side camera is sufficient for any tablet, if you really want to shoot some decent photos, please use a phone!
But there're still some uncertainties, what is the display gonna be, is it gonna be an IPS-equivalent or is it gonna be a normal TN display, that's what I am really curious about.
2. Quad core U35GT (Cactus)
The Cactus has featured a 7.9 inch IPS display, which is very popular among tablet makers at the moment.
Highlights:
-7.9 inch IPS display, 1024*768.
-Ultra slim metal case design.
-RK3188 Soc., based on 28nm workmanship and Cortex-A9 frame, speed up to 1.8GHZ, Mali400-MP4 [email protected]
-2GB RAM
-ACC stereo speakers.
-Anti-rolling frame.
-Built-in Bluetooth.
-Intelligent light sensor
-HDMI
-10,000mAh battery
Price: unknown yet
Thanks to the unrivaled popularity of the Apple iPad Mini, tablets with an 8 inch display and narrow bezel are currently the most celebrated.
Besides the fashionable narrow bezel and the incredible ultra slim metal design, what really astonishes me is the 10,000 mAh battery! I am really looking forward to the Cactus' battery life! Hope it's not gonna be too costly, though!
How much do u guys think the Cactus should be priced?
Cool this sounds like a good tablet thanks

6050mAh Ulefone Power Will Be An All-rounder
Featuring a 6050mAh super-capacity battery, the 5.5-inch Ulefone Power is officially announced today with the price of USD199.99. Since we learned this name for the first time, half a year has passed. So what kind of a device has taken Ulefone so long to make? Will it be a rival of the USD390 Kionee M5 Plus?
The highlighted 6050mAh battery, packing the Sony li-polymer cell, is supposed to last 4 days for light use on a single charge. A 9V/2~3A charger that adopts the Pump Express Plus technology will be able to fill up the battery in 2 hours and 5-minute charge is said to support 2 hours of calling. Travelers may activate the energy saving mode on Ulefone Power for longer use and they can even make the phone to charge other devices when necessary.
Given such big a battery, we can only pray the Power will not be too thick or heavy like a brick. Fortunately, 9.5mm thickness plus 190g weight sounds not frustrating at all. And a slightly curved back is expected to offer more comfort to the palm.
Claiming “no compromise in aesthetics”, Ulefone has followed their conventional designing language to use the 2.5D Corning Gorilla 3 glass, solid metal frame and “halo” touch buttons on Ulefone Power. Color-wise, users can choose among three versions, white, dark blue, and white with wooden back cover. Since its battery is non-removable, Ulefone Power has adopted a side-way SIM tray which can house dual SIM cards or one SIM plus one micro SD card.
Instead of downgrading other specs to balance the increased cost on battery, Ulefone has decided to make the Power their new flagship. That’s why they have employed popular and proven components like MTK6753 octa-core 64-bit chipset, 5.5-inch AUO 1080P LTPS display, 3GB RAM, Sony IMX214 13MP camera with double flash.
But what makes Ulefone Power special is some extra functions. The fingerprint scanner enables
five finger IDs with each for a specific purpose, such as unlocking, shutter, and app starter. With infrared emitter and a pre-installed remote control app, Ulefone Power can serve as the remote controller of over 3,000 home appliances. And a smart key near the power button is able to start the camera or voice recorder by clicking or holding, respectively.
Ulefone will start to ship Ulefone Power from January 10, 2016 with Android 5.1 pre-installed. In February, Ulefone Power will come with Android 6.0 and existing users will be able to experience the new software by upgrading.

Nokia 8 vs Oneplus 5T Comparison-Gadget2buy
One of the most awaited phones of the season is already here – the OnePlus 5T. Just after five months after the launch of OnePlus 5, the 5T has been launched for the mid-segment buyers with many new features and additions. It comes with a glossy new six-inch edge-to-edge display, improved design and an enhanced camera setup. No doubt it is an excellent phone with many features but the all-new OnePlus 5T faces a lot of competition from a number of other phones in the same segment and the most importantly from HMD Global's offering for the same segment, Nokia 8.
So before you decide which will be the best phone for you, let’s take a look at the features and specification of OnePlus 5T against Nokia 8.
Nokia 8 vs Oneplus 5T Design and Display-Gadget2buy
Both the phones have a very attractive design.
The OnePlus 5T has a very familiar design. Like the iPhone 7 or any other new age phones, it has a smooth flat glass and metal body that curves at the edges. It has a design that has already been very well received and reviewed by smartphone users. With a huge 5.5 inches large bezel-less display and fingerprint scanner at the back, the phone is completely in line with the times.
The Nokia 8, on the other hand, does not sport a very flashy design but keeping up with its reputation as a sturdy and good looking phone. A slim phone with full metal body and a 5.3-inch Glance Screen Quad HD display. The display is bright and colourful with a Gorilla Glass 5 to protect the screen in case of a fall.
Nokia 8 vs Oneplus 5T Features-Gadget2buy
Both the smartphones are powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor. The Nokia 8 has 4GB RAM and 64GB storage on board. OnePlus 5T comes in two variants- a 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant and an 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage option. Both the OnePlus 5T and Nokia 8 come with Google’s latest Android 7.0 Nougat software.
In the battery front, the OnePlus 5T is powered by a huge and long-lasting 3300 mAh non-removable battery which supports Dash Charging, The Nokia 8, by comparison, features a 3,090mAh cell. But a smaller battery here does not less battery life. With a smaller bezel-less screen Nokia 8 fairs pretty well in battery life.
A few other features in Nokia 8 are Iris scanner, Fingerprint (touch), Touch sensitive control keys and Splash resistant body. The OnePlus 5T only has a fingerprint scanner but is not splash resistant.
Nokia 8 vs Oneplus 5T Camera -Gadget2buy
Both these phones have excellent cameras and the camera is the highlight of these phones. HMD Global has long since marketed Nokia 8 as a device for "storytellers" – tell your story with images. The Nokia 8 comes with a dual camera setup in the rear. The rear camera is equipped with ZEISS optics – and features a 13MP primary RGB (colour) sensor paired with a 13MP monochrome (black and white) sensor. The ZEISS optics allows the phone to capture depths and assists in low-light photography. This phone also has the new “bothie” camera, which basically means that you can use both the front and back camera simultaneously for split screen images and videos and turn it into a fun image. With an inbuilt app, you can even live stream a bothie to Facebook. And for selfies, there is a 13 MP shooter in the front.
OnePlus 5 T also features a dual camera in the rear and has got a new telephoto lens in its dual shooter. The new telephoto lens carries exactly similar 16-megapixel Sony IMX398 primary lens with f/1.7 aperture. The secondary lens is a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376K sensor with a wider aperture whereas in OnePlus 5 there was a 20-megapixel Sony IMX350 sensor. For selfies, it sports a 16-megapixel Sony IMX371 sensor in the front.
Nokia 8 vs Oneplus 5T Gaming Performance-Gadget2buy
Gaming and multitasking are quite easy and very enjoyable for Nokia 8. At no point does it slow down to drop and also the volume output and the performance of the phone remains top-notch even with heavy duty games like Mortal Kombat and Injustice.
The OnePlus 5T is blazing fast when playing games, multitasking, and just browsing the web. It has a great battery and is quite good for playing games with a huge display and great performance.
For gaming both the devices are excellent and cannot really be compared.
Nokia 8 vs Oneplus 5T Price-Gadget2buy
The OnePlus 5T is available in two different storage variants, with the cheaper 64GB/6GB RAM variant available Rs 32,999and Rs. 37,999 for the 8GB RAM/ 128GB model. The Nokia 8, on the other hand, is only available in a single variant and is available at a price of Rs 36,999. The pricing is a very important point to consider while buying the two phones and here OnePlus has done quite an aggressive pricing.
The end verdict is that the Nokia 8 is a very sturdy and elegant phone with excellent features and a great camera. The OnePlus 5T, on the other hand, is a classy bezel-less smartphone with a few excellent specs and great price.
