[Q] Battery charge won't get past 1% - Samsung Galaxy S II Plus

Hei, i have a problem: it won't charge. Battery was at 20% when i went to sleep and this moning i found it powered off, plugged in charger and it won't get past 1%. Any ideas? I'm on [LINARO] Resurrection Remix® Kitkat v5.0.8 [Update 20140411], stock 4.2.2 kernel. Thanks! :good:
EDIT 1- I removed the battery for 5 minutes or so and it now charges. but it seems to go very slow. Still don't know what caused it to behave like this..

Try to remove battery out for a while and charge again or use Battery Calibration app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nema.batterycalibration&hl=fi

I did not charge my battery for 8 hours

hi all
i got my new w8 last week and i did not charge it for 8 hours ...
when i got it i straight
-root it
-install a new rom
-and bring it out
-all in 40mins or so
is it a factor?
cause now my battery only last 4 hours before going to 0%
while my sister's w8 (same model ) have 60% battery after 5 hours .ck ..
really scared man cause 4hours battery life is unusable
even in stock it's still draining ...
specs -
w8
stock kernel / rom
will buying a new battery help?
Just recalibrate it. Turn it off and charge 'till full, boot into recovery and wipe battery stats, turn the phone back on and use it until it turns off by itself.
Try calibrating the battery... but I must also add that I flashed some ROMs and when I restored the backup of my original ROM, the battery life was absolutely horrible and the phone kept overheating. I flashed MIUI and now it's like a new battery again.
there are some free battery calibration apps in market too. some latest works too.
battery calibration is very god
Very unlikely that you did any permanent damage. But I would be sure to do a few full charge cycles. As in charge to 100% and leave it plugged in for a while, and then allow to drain all the way to shut down.

[Q] Battery Problem

Hey guys, I'm having a problem with my battery. I get a normal amount of time out of it, but the battery indicator is behaving oddly. I can use the phone normally throughout the day and it seems as if it's discharging as it should, but when it reaches 22 - 20% it will stay there for a very long time (about 2-3 hours of screen on time) and suddenly shut off. No shutdown, just off. Won't power on again until I plug it in. Once I plug it in and turn it back on, the battery indicates that it has 1% and seems to charge like normal.
I have never noticed it before I flashed Liquid Smooth 2.8, so I believe it might be a ROM issue. It happens on the stock CM kernel and on KT747. I have already wiped battery stats and upgraded to Liquid Smooth 2.9. I would rather not flash to another ROM as I really like Liquid. It's a very smooth ROM.
Please help me out. Thanks.

[Q] Battery charging issue - need help

I've been using my Hyperion 7000mah battery without any issues for the last 6 months. The other day, I decided to run the battery down. I ran it to 17% and then recharged it. The next morning, when I woke up, the battery was only 40% charged. I left the phone on the charger the entire day and it only got up to 85%. For some reason, the battery just won't take or hold a charge now. I'v tried turning on and off fast charge, I've tried wiping battery stats, I've also tried several roms and kernels, but nothing seems to affect the battery charging rate. Does anyone know what could've caused this to happen and more importantly, how to fix it? I'm really frustrated that I'm back on the stock battery and that I have a $30 paper weight.

Strange issues after replacing the battery

I just got a battery from etradesupply and now im having some issues with charging and fast drain. The battery will charge like normal up to 100% but if i power the phone off it will start charging for another 15 mins before full. After it's full and i power up it will show 85-90%. Ive done this cycle about 5 times. The battery also drains the first 10% in about 10mins after i unplug it then it will slow down. Just strange that even with these problems the battery life is about the same if not a bit better than the old battery. Im rooted running 5.0.1. I might try a fresh factory install when i have time. Anyone have suggestions before i try that?
bump...any ideas?

I'd say try to wipe everything on your device and flash the stock factory image first and see how it goes to rule out a software issue. If it still does not help then should be the battery.

When the battery first reaches 100% it's actually not done charging yet, it takes about 30mins afterwards before the juice stops flowing. If you unplug during that time it is normal for the battery to drop to show you the true charge level. Could that be what's happening here?
Try keeping it plugged in over night and then the next day it shouldn't drop by more then 1 or 2% (trickle charge kicks in around there).

[Q&A][5.1.1] Unofficial CyanogenMod 12.1 with CAF 3.4.0 kernel- Sultanxda

Recently flashed my Oneplus One with this ROM and the issues I am facing now are :
1. Phone shuts down automatically when battery is around 10%
2. While watching videos on Facebook the screen blacks out after sometime, causing the video to stop/pause.
It might be a battery calibration problem. Try to use the phone until it shuts down and then charge it completely while its off. That might help.

Thanks will try that and let you know the results.
I have this problem a while ago, battery stays at 100% for a long time then when reach 30% the phone suddenly died. Charging for a straight 5 to 6 hours while the phone off fixed the battery problem. If its not working for the first charge, just make sure you completely discharge battery to 0 % then cycle charge again while off for 5 to 6 hours.
