Hello, I am new to Sony and Samsung come see that changing here is more complicated software, cell ny is a J-ST26A Xperia-rom and version is the 11.2.a.0.31 and I want to root the phone, tutorials I have seen that they are very long and complicated (change the kernel, use flashtool, remove the battery). I found a much easier method is to DooMLoRD easy root toolkit in which the last version added support for this phone. The forum said it was compatible with the ST26A st26i (I have the ST26A) and was consistent with the version 11.2.a.0.31 and 11.2.a.0.21 (mine is .31). What I wanted to ask is if someone rooted a mobile with the same characteristics as mine (ST26A-11.2.a.0.31), and let me know if it works and no signal loss problems as bricks or something, it would be helpful I answered that I really want to be root thanks. DEVICE: ST26A ROM: 11.2.A.0.31 (JELLY BEAN) BOOTLOADER: Locked
Sorry for my english but I using the google translate
I is fot International, A is for American. So I think that you can root your phone with out problem. I have st26i, roote with DooMLoRD.

You can repair with PC Companion of Flashtool. But it won't brick if you follow the steps.

Part of rooting is to install SuperSu so you'll only need to update it later.

Probably depends on which firmware/kernel? version you've got installed. You could try Bin4ry's method. I'll provide a link in a min. Hang on.
Though if you got one of latest firmware versions it wont work.

Not true, it DID work 100% until the latest firmware versions were released.
For Tipo that was version *.4.22, for Miro it was the *.5.5, for the Xperia J I wouldn't even know, but since those firmware versions, if you update, you cannot use Bin4ry's method, as Sony disabled the "Restore my files" function.
100% working with my xperia j 11.0.A.3.18
Do any of you guys mind posting a system dump of the J?

Peoples bypassed this in Xperia T.
You do root for the old firmware then flash CWM (for locked bootloader) then flash *.zip package with newest rom.
At the end you flash (flashtool) kernel from newest firmware. It's all. Root has not disappeared (only CWM you must re-flash)
BUT at this moment, you can root Xperia J with Bin4ry method on any firmware. I don't now how in Tipo and Miro but this topic is about Xperia J

Hai bro
Download latest flashtool, there is an option to unlock bootloader in it..if your device supports unlocking
i don't think it's that easy. and i also read offical method isn't that safe u can end up in a bootloop
Sent from my C1604 using xda premium
Luckily there is something that is called a backup . Just back-up your device, pre-install Flashtool, download a stock .ftf of your device (See my thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2468228). Using flashtool, unlock the bootloader. Turn on your device, see if you're in a bootloop. If so, flash the stock .ftf! (http://www.xperiaguide.com/2013/05/...e-by-flashing-ftf-file-via-xperia-flash-tool/)
Don't mind it saying ''update manually''
Lol there is some risk.involved...but till now I never heard anyone hard bricking their device during bl unlock...

It's too bad :\ It's against open source rules... Operators who lock bootloader are really stupid scums.
I believe it's a hardware issue??? Yes OEM's lock their devices bootloader, but when it can't be unlocked, I believe it's because of the hardware. But please correct me if I'm wrong...

Your assumption is wrong. It has nothing to do with hardware as they can still be unlocked using software.

It can be unlocked using flashtool.
Make sure you have installed
- FlashMode Drivers
- Fastboot Drivers
I recommend you to use OS:
- Windows XP
This process doesn't work properly on Windows 8 because it needs sign on Drivers.
All the best.
I akready tried that but sometimes but it then ask to select device after that it shows that the device cannot be unlocked with official methods..
