Anyone got Skype working?
The app can be opened, but once you video call it force closes! Any guesses? Running unofficial CM11!

Hey, I have a similar issue on S3(d2lte nightly), on mine I can use skype without sending my video fine, but once I turn on send video, skype works for 3-5 seconds then force closes
Were you able to find a solution?

Hey, were you able to figure anything out on this?
My skype still closes after several seconds of sending video even after multiple CM11 and Skype updates.

Nope I think it's because of the custom ROM's buggy camera codes! Works fine with original ROM!

I am getting the popping and crackling feedback too......Are the speakers broken?
half the time my speakers don't even work, If I boot and they do they stop working as soon as my screen sleeps if not crackle and pop
Also playing with the volume when the sound isn't working will almost certainly force my Gtab to reboot......any ideas?
I have not tried video chat so no clue if it works
yea I'm getting the pop/crack on the test call as well, mp3's play fine, I'm running CM b4.
+1 for the pop/crackle. I was able to get Yahoo working though, at least it appeared to work. My buddy didn't answer the call, but I was able to see myself.
EDIT: I'm still stock, but rooted. Haven't tried any roms yet. Just got mine last night. (Love it by the way.)

Yup. I used Yahoo Messenger as well and it worked. Only problem is that the video quality is horrible. I switched to my iphone and it was better on both ends. Hopefully we'll get some good video chat app soon!!!
Just wondering, but since the latest FOTA receiving video for Skype calling seems to be broken... On my TF at least, people can see my video but I can't seem to receive theirs

If you can't recieve video, it's problem with their end, not yours.
People, stop blaming every problem you come across on the transformer. Ever considered it's something else?
I tried this mod and it worked. I used aSQLiteManager and aShell, both free on the market. I take no credit for this...just sharing.

Theres an app in market called Enable Video Chat over 3g/4g that worked for me
I was never able to get a session going but it allowed me to attempt. Did anyone actually get video going?

did you root your phone before trying the app?
Yes you must be rooted to make this change or use the Enable app.
My atrix is rooted and I did enable gtalk over 3g, however whenever I calling out, the recepient receives the call, but on my end it never get connected. When I receive a call, it seems like the video started (I see myself), but no other side video nor audio, actually there is audio, but it's like dialup sound - craclking and squicking. After few minutes of this the call drops.
Can anyone confirm it actually works?

Just did factory restore, then root and tried gtalk - same problem. Through Wifi it works fine.

hmmm after reboot its fixed itself...
My setting constantly reverts itself back to true, any way to fix that?

I haven't got any problems with Viber on the Moto G, but my mother has got the exact same problem as you. Not sure what to do about it.
Same problem here ! when chat everything is ok... when try to call it is not at all !! ... when somobody answare the call it crashes !
I was messaging fine using viber yesterday but When I called anyone it crashes.
Tried again last night and was all working fine. No idea why it suddenly started working again though.

Exactly the same problem here. I do not know what is going on. I installed it over and over again but with the same negative result.
I even restored the Moto G to factory settings deleting all my data, but in vain.
I have KitKat 4.4.2 and noticed drops in signal of wireless, connecting/disconnecting.

Done, I also filed the crash report itself in Viber.
One further thing: when the user I'm trying to contact isn't reachable (because his internet is down while his smartphone sleeps), my phone still makes the normal ringing sound. I'd expect a 'not-reachable' tone? Don't know if this is the default behavior of Viber, or if this has something to do with the bug.

It seems that the link has been uploaded just for short time.
I did upload it on mediafire, check the first page.
I also had a Viber crash issue, but this was when i press the mic button to send voice message , crashed every time.
The update fixed this ! thanks
although its not on playstore yet , i had to use the linked apk manually.

Calls go through with the linked apk, but the screen stays on during calls. Any fix for that?
New version of Viber on play store, seems to work fine now.
anyone else having the same problem? The rom is incredibly fast and smooth, but I can't make Skype calls at all! It rings for a second or two and then it logs me off, goes back to the skype main menu and logs me back in.
I've tried older versions of skype, still no luck.

Skype Calling
Version 5.x broke calling support.
If you need calls, you have to use an older version like 4.9.0.45564

That's not the issue, it does that with 4.9 too yet it works fine for calling.
The thing is that I tried 4.9, even earlier versons and they don't work either. Some versions actually let it ring but as soon as the other person answers the call hangs up.
