I'm trying to backup my ROM using ROM manager, however it attempts to send the backup to /sdcard, which doesn't exist. The directory I want to use is called ExtSdCard. I wish to rename it to sdcard so that ROM manager has a directory to save the backup to. How do I do this?
I'm using a rooted Samsung Galaxy Young GT-S6310T running on the stock ROM.

Most likely, they're located within the "sdcard" folder, however, you should also look at the "extSdCard" folder as well. The easiest way to find out is to use a file explorer, such as ES File Explorer in order to look in these folders for your backups. What custom recovery are you running?

You should be able to use the default my files app, go into external sd and find the cwm folder. Backups are there.
Verizon S3, running which ever tw rom I've decided to flash today. .
Hi everyone. I am trying to restore a backup in CWM. It says no backup was found even though the CWM folder is taking up 3.06 GB. Most of the is blobs (2.86GB) Why wont it restore? And if it is impossible to get it to restore how can i delete them safely so i can claim the space its taking up?
My answer may be a stupid one, but you are mounting the external sd card in CWM, no?
Could be the problem of the sd card, try remounting it after removing.
I think you can directly delete the backup files with any file manager without any side effects

And to delete backups i use a file manager (es file explorer) and delete the clockworkmod folder.. also using a Pc you can delete that folder from your tablet.

What i have learned is that in JB 4.2. CWM put these backups in a safe place on the SD card (cannot find the with a file explorer) but when i use CWM to ro restore my image it does it 100%
Don't know how to backup to ext SD.
thanks

You can change the settings in the cwm app to save them to a different location. However it only works if you initiate the backup from the app, not if you do it from recovery.
Sent from your phone. You should be careful where you leave that thing.
I was using Galaxy Tab 2 (p3100) and now moving to my first Galaxy Note 3.
All my files that were encrypted via GalleryVault is locked because I don't copy the "Backup" files (from internal storade) that should be copied.
Can I restore the files? decrypted? How can?
I don't copy the backup foder because I was mistakenly assuming in FAQ that I should copy the backup folder .thinkyeah. In FAQ, it doesn't mentioning that the backup folder is placed in Internal Storage. Since I have find that there is already folder .thinkyeah, I don't do more exploration.

same problem here, anybody ?
I'm presently on lollipop 5.0.2 and i've done a CWM backup but i cannot find the file anywhere. The file really exist since that the space left have changed by 1gb. I need to access the backup files to copy them to my PC.
/data/media/clockworkmod/backup exist but no file inside
/mnt/shell/emulated/clockworkmod/backup exist but no file inside
anybody have an idea?
I tried using CWM and TWRP on my stock lollipop build and both of them gave me errors when trying to mount the data partition so I gave up. I'm not sure if either recovery is fully compatible with stock LP.
If you want to delete them, delete backup through cwm. You cant view files in android.
