[Q] How do I get google play on my Cha Cha phone? - HTC ChaCha

Hi everyone,
My phone had the original 'market' app on it. Since this has changed to google play in recent times, my phone won't upgrade to google play.
I have a HTC cha Cha A810b phone, 2.3.5 OS version. All of which I am lead to believe (through friends and research) that it's all compatiable for google play. However it's not upgrading and I don't know how to.
Can someone help me getting google play on my phone please?
Thanks

Try a factory reset...ATTENTION ..this means to lose data from your phone, make a back up.
For a factory reset, power off your cha cha, remove baterry for a few seconds , and pull volum down and power button, you will se hboot menun select the factory reset and that it all .

[Q] Google play 3.8.16 makes my phone bootloop

Hi,
i bought a HTC Desire from a friend, installed an ICS mod, and now it got stuck in a bootloop after Google play app updated itself to 3.5.16.
My friend has the same ROM, and he reports no issues.
What could be the cause of this? Thanx.
EDIT: I forgot to add why i mentioned i bought the phone from a friend: That means i have no clue how he rooted it. There's an AlphaRev S-OFF, but i cannot find any version info.

[Q] gps not working since upgraded to jb 4.1.1.

Hi everbody,
It's my first post on this forum, hope that someone can help me. I have a htc one s with the 1.5 processor.
It is branded by TIM(italy). First when i bought it, i wanted the stock rom, so my brother tried to install it for me but he did not succeed.
Though he managed to unlock the bootloader.
A week ago i updated the soft to jb 4.1.1. Since then, the gps is not working(maps, facebook, weather, etc). I tried gps fix from play store, but was efficient for a few hours, then nothing. I've talked to the customer service from htc, and they told me that this is happening because i made the update to jelly bean with the unlocked bootloader.
First of all, can i make a downgrade ? Or can i debrand the phone ? And in both of cases, will the gps work ?
I also heard about a patch that will fix the gps ...
Thanks !

[Q] Issue with HTC desire 7060 dual sim - no google apps installed (Chinese version)

Hello,
I just got the HTC desire 7060 dual sim (only available in China) that my father brought me but I am currently living in Madagascar, and since it is a Chinese Unicom version, there is no Google play store or any other Google apps installed in the phone, just the HTC marketplace and some other Chinese application.
All the other option such as HTC Blinkfeed is also in Chinese and I can not change the location.
Other than that, the phone is working perfectly fine with no issue.
Could you guys help me out on the different step to follow, to either root the device (I never did such things) in order to have all the Google services installed on my HTC desire 7060?
Thanks!

Thats a new workaround!
Thanks for telling me. You had to be rooted all the past to install GApps.
If you feel experienced with your new phone --> Give root a try, its really worth

[Q] HTC e8 (m8st) - region change help

Hey
I have just bought a HTC e8 or m8st or m8 ace.... it seems to go by many names. It was bought in china so it has the usual chinese apps and restriction to google play and apps.
I have previously changed ROM region on a z1mini so have an idea of what i want to do but it seems to be a bit more complicated with the htc.
I have tried to install the google services from the chinese app store but can't find them (GSM or something). I have been looking into rooting or just simply installing a UK or EU version of the ROM but it isn't very clear. the major issue i am coming across is that there is almost no information on this handset. What i can find is for the dual sim (i have single sim)version or changing it to an indian region.
I have also found on the HTCdev resources that this handset is known as the m8 ace. I have looked into the xda forms for the standard m8. It helped a lot about what to do in terms of rooting and the general processes but still not any clearer on compatibility issues. could i just flash the EU version of this ROM, would i have to change the CID, could i use a superCID (11111111)?
so my question is if someone has any information on how to go about this it would be greatly appreciated.
Can the handset be treated as a m8sw, single or dual sim?
Will i need to change the CID etc?
I should also mention that getting the OTA updates are not an issue for me, i could take them or leave them.
Thanks

Thanks, i've seen the tread but still a bit confused. I will post the questions relating to it on the thread.
finished
Just updating so if anyone is looking into this then they know i have managed to change the handset into a non chinese phone; full google play services and apps.
I used the link form the previous post with a few others....
I had to use a combination of the 2 methods to get it to work.

i had to look about for the procedures for some things but if you google it or look on the xda threads for the m8 you should find everything you need.
good luck

[Q] [Help!] In-App Purchase function lost after root!

Hi Guys,
I am new to this forum. Recently I rooted my Sony Xperia Z3 D6653 model by downgrading it to .93 and then upgrade it back to .77 via flashing pre-installed Zip file which I created using PRFcreator. However after rooted, I realised my phone lost all my In-App purchase function. I could not buy In-app purchase anymore. Some app stated I do not have the Billing setup completed while some app stated I need to update to the latest Google Play Store. However, I am currently on the lastest Google Play Store Version. Is there any solution to this please? Thanks a lot in advance!
Rgds,
I'm in your shoes too!!!
I just recently had a friend root my Nexus 9 and the same has happened I also want to know why and how we can fix this...
Bump
in the apps, they are an option to restore purchase.
have you tested?
