[APP] Morning! The Best Alarm you will EVER use. EVER! - G2 Themes and Apps

***AWESOMENESS***
OK guys. I ported this app from the Samsung Note 3. I could not get it to work properly but i finally got it working.
I shared it on another thread but thought i would share it with you exclusively.
It is Samsungs "Morning" Alarm Clock and it has some AWESOME features.
The UI is amazing and the settings are endless.
You can set as many alarms as you want.
You can have it read out your New Email, Weather for the day, and traffic conditions to work or herever.
screenshots attached below
Here is the link to the download

App worked fine for me this morning, got the weather read out to me by it also. Though I'd prefer to have an option for degrees centigrade and miles per hour instead of fahrenheit and miles per hour, but, minor issue really as app works great.

I really love this app until Xdabbabs latest Rom. The volume steps he uses makes this unusable. I loved how it read the weather too..kinda sucks lol

I'm using it with xdabbeb's latest (v1.1.1) without issue. Just tested it even. Alarm went off, was plenty loud, and the reading of weather, etc. worked great.

I'm loving this alarm. Also not having issues with Xdabebbs 1.1.1.

Sorry the screenshots were not visible. I just added attachments to show screenshots.

YThis has been confirmed to work on AOSP roms or any custom Rom.

Well I've been using this for past week and everything has been almost great, (but there's always a but) but for some reason the email notification doesn't always update to the latest, currently mine is reading out emails from May 4 so my question is, is there any way to get it to refresh more often/has anyone else experienced this?

I will have to do some testing. I have not noticed that.
The only thing i can imagine is that you have some "unread" email from May 4th. Go to your email inbox and see if you have anything that was never marked as read on May 4th.
If you have nothing "NEW" or "UNREAD" that morning, you will not get any emails read to you that morning. In settings it does say UNREAD EMAIL ACCOUNT so only what is unread will be displayed.
But like i said. let me do some testing.

well post #15 is the only solution and it has to be done everyday, so if you do it before going to be sleep and have unread mail then that's what you will hear in the morning

Well, maybe I'll give this a shot. I've been using the stock Note 3 alarm and although it works, after rooting the Widget isn't sized properly. I'm running Sweet Rom V15 so let's see what happens!

Sprint did a Google Voice integration back in April.
The language packs are not 100% ported over to english. I would get notifications in chinese. No idea what they were for...
The menu system is completely different than android. I spent 5 minutes trying to figure out how to add my gmail account.
Anyone use the sense 3.0 style lockscreen?
I know this post is kind of random, but I used the rom for a bit, and then reverted back to my stock rooted GB rom. Would like to spend more time with this rom, and see it it would suit me on a day to day basis.

[HOWTO] Fix Facebook notifications!

This is a post from Android Central member ccw1134:
"So let's set the table here. Facebook Push Notifications are the golden egg that we're all looking for. Well after reading this you can go obsess about something else...finally (I know I will). I have been beyond frustrated with the chaos that has surrounded this subject. I've spent way too many hours reading and reading then reading some more. I am proud to say that I finally cracked the elusive Facebook Push problem.
I switched from Verizon to Sprint last week (work decision) so I went from a Droid Incredible to a EVO 3D. I was hoping that my Push notification would work when I switched since they never had. To my dismay they did not. My daughter went from a BB Curve to the Motorola XPRT and her FB push notifications worked! She always would always say "Dad you're phone's not so Incredible now, is it?" So when I got my EVO 3D and it didn't work I really became obsessed. After comparing settings on both phones and Facebook settings I found the one anomaly. The list of authorized apps within Facebook (Account dropdown>Account Settings>Applications on the right side of the page) on the computer showed "Facebook for BlackBerry Smartphones" on hers but not mine. It's so simple yet outside of the box. The key is BlackBerry permissions! I am willing to bet that everyone who has working notifications on Android came from a BlackBerry. Okay onto the good stuff.
- Find someone with a working BlackBerry. This could be a friend or any store that has activated demo phones. - Using the Facebook app on the BB log into your account and wait for your stuff to start appearing. I did not log into email or anything else, just FB. - After you see your Newsfeed updated with your information simply log out. - Go into your FB settings on your Android phone and check the Notifications box. The refresh interval doesn't matter (it can even be set to Never). - Notifications should start appearing as you get them (Comments, Wall Posts, Pokes, Likes, Messages, etc.)
I did notice a couple of things that I hope get improved in the notification process. Messages and Friend Requests have their own separate icons for notifications just as they always have. Comments, Wall Posts, , Tagging, Pokes and Likes all share the new notification icon that you will start seeing. Because of this if someone pokes you and then you get a comment or whatever, your Poke notification is gone (I'm assuming because the FB App doesn't officially support Poking yet therefore it doesn't know how to handle that notification) and won't know who poked you. Also if you should happen to click on the poke notification doesn't take you anywhere useful, just the list of notifications (for the same reasons listed in the previous sentence). This is a small sacrifice for now. If someone tags you in a post (I assume a picture will be the same way) you also will still get an email notification to whatever email you use. Just an FYI on that.
For the record I am on Sprint using a nonrooted HTC EVO 3D running 2.3.3 and Facebook is version 1.6.3. I do not believe the carrier, phone model, OS or Facebook version matter but I know there are those out there who want to know this type of stuff."
I will be trying this out, seems promising according to replies there!
(mods, I wasn't sure if this would be the right place so feel free to move it.)

Nope. I came from BB to Android and while I had notifications working about a month ago with a FB app update (nothing to do with switching from BB to Android), they no longer work and they didn't work when I initially switched over either.
I just checked my account settings and the Facebook for BlackBerry Smartphones is still listed there and still has permissions.
Think it is just a coincidence for you.

And I now receive notifications for the first time. I just installed the apk today so for me it worked and I have no reason to understand, just that I now get notifications. Can someone else confirm with this that they receive notifications?
The only way i got them to work was to create a new fb account.

Messaging is usually tied into framework, reflashing the rom would most likely solve the problem but might not make it work properly. Using a touchwiz messaging app would probably fix it because it uses a stock framework for the app, but I'm assuming you want to stay on AOSP.
I would post that question in the pacman thread and see if anyone running that rom has any better suggestions.

If you're having call issues too that's different, could be bad efs data, but I'm not really an AOSP guy so it's hard for me to pinpoint exactly what's going on. Could be rom related or not, so it's better to scour those forums to see if you can find an answer.

You're right!
I wonder how much time it'll take for it to leave alpha state! I'm not asking for ETA, just wondering.
And the ROM is really good. I mean I took photos, made phone calls, did some texting with Hangout, configured and tested almost every essential apps I use on regular basis and I did not encounter a single major issue.
Did not test Bluetooth and tethering. LTE not working but I'm pretty sure someone will fix it!
Missing some customization options which will come when it will be more "mature" and every builders will begin adding their touch!
Thanks to everyone making this possible!! \m/ :good:

MMS on official LP

so looks like VZW has left out or over looked (not like they didnt take their time on this update) to include the required MmsService.apk
Without this some, if not a lot of third party SMS apps will not send MMS, Google's hangout and Google's messenger app for example.
By installing this, flash it, extract it, or just install the APK. (if you dont have root this is the only way) This WILL fix the issue

Believe me...I do too, however with the stock sms app if a group message come in, clicking the notification take you to the individual sms thread for the person that sent the text, not the group chat, which in of itself was enough to drive me crazy.

From my understanding LP on vzw took away the ability to edit the apns which I would imagine you had to change to get all the tmo stuff working.

Oddly enough I had to set up nothing on 4.4.4, it just worked once I have it on HSPA mode instead of LTE/CDMA
I'm stock and rooted while my wife's is stock. We both upgraded to Lollipop and was/is using Textra before the upgrade and continue to use it without an issue. I've sent and received MMS without hiccups.
Are we odd ones out or is there some bug that I'm not experiencing and could possibly find a fix on my phone to share with everyone?
