No you cant make a full backup of phone with stock recovery it make a limited backup with imei. Cwm can only make full backup that is why we use cwm..

You can flash the stock recovery again. If you device is already rooted you can use "Flashify" from the PlayStore to back it up
Here is a tutorial to get back to stock incl. video and download links xD

I flashed system.img and boot.img via fastboot command on my KARBONN A9.it booted .It's close to stock experience with not much big modifications made.
But as expected colors were washed out and both SIM cards went undetected which means spice has also flashed new baseband on it.That's the reason I guess they didn't release an OTA.So may be a simple backup restore may not work on spice phones too.

Has anybody successfully restored the ICS backup in GB ? If there is really new baseband in ICS then we will have to update baseband first then flash the ICS ROM. I think baseband version in GB is V3062.

Baseband flashing is always a big risk. The Chinese w688 and w680 are yet to get ics update.By flashing the wrong baseband you can easily end up with a bricked phone.

I will upload an update.zip for you guys to flash via Clockwork mod recovery.[thank Suhas, coz this is based on the backup provided by him]
About baseband, baseband flashing is completely different from rom flashing. You cant do that via CWM recovery or by restoring ICS backup.Spice or Karbonn wont provide that,K-touch might provide that, but chinese equivalent phone of ours are yet to get ICS.
So its highly recommend u visit a Spice service centre and get it updated to ICS.

Here is the link to Spice ICS flashable via CWM recovery - http://www.mediafire.com/?8255p98plmnhjcm
Do the following before flashing
Boot into recovery -> Factory reset
Go to mount/storage -> Format /system
Note - Most probably your sim cards wont get detected because you need to be on the newer baseband(flashable files are not yet available)
This is for SPICE-Mi425 ,but Karbonn A9 users too can flash it. (guaranteed sim card wont work + display color problems )
@suhas - Please link this post on the first page

do i need to carry the bill to service center to update ics ??? well, tats a hypothetical question..... so pls just tell me guys who updated "did the service center ask u for bill"

Hi All
Sorry if this has been answered before but I couldn't find it. I initially rooted my device successfully, then recently restarted and is now in a bootloop.
I'm not exactly clear on what the process is to fix this, so any help would be appreciated. I've tried holding the volume key and power button to get into the boot menu. But not really sure what files I need or what to do next.
Thanks in advance
Bro u should try to boot into recovery and do factory reset and it will solve ur problem
if further exist then u should have custom rom or original rom or firmware to came ur mobile back 2 life

Thanks for your reply. I have tried factory reset and still stuck in boot loop.
Where can I download the rom or firmware for a1-810? I've tried searching everywhere, only one I found on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2240029 was for RV07RC01_PA_CUS1 version and didn't work. The acer website does not contain them.
Does anyone have a link to RV18RC07_WW_GEN1 firmware update?
Guys, anyone know where I can download Acer firmware files? Surely, they must exist somewhere and someone must know? No luck on the main website, there was a link in this forum for RV18RC07 but the link appears to be dead.
Bro u have installed cwm if yes then u can backup ur stock rom and then restore it.
Sorry I don't have firmware link or file

Dear Devs.
My MMX A110Q plus(stock v2) is unable to flash any custom ROM. My device is rooted and CWM v5.5.0.4 is running. I have tried updating recovery to v6.0.1.2 and v6.0.4.7 by mobile uncle tools and SP flash tools v3.1312. In both cases updation or flash is success but it always fails too boot on recovery mode. After selecting recovery mode, Canvas boot logo will blink twice and will boot normally to system.
Fashing of custom ROM like CanvaS4, suvi v16 or Miui 5 will get success but while booting, Canvas boot image will keep booting.
plz help.....help.

Now that's just stupid... the instructions clearly say you must have more than 70% battery to flash a rom.... use sp flash tools to flash original rom (see the unbrick method)

thx! for the help bro but problem was solved next day of the issue. somehow from stock recovery clearing cache or something like that (i tried all options), problem got fixed.
flashing rom was not possible because i didn't had custom recovery neither my phone was bootable so that i can flash recovery through mobile uncle tool apk. i got stuck in that problem because in those days i was trying to make one custom for that phone myself .
i checked your website, you are doing amazing work, i hope you will produce more stable roms for this phone in future. i am still using this phone and i really regret buying it, stock rom sucks. if you got some time teach me as well to make one custom rom especially for this one phone.
