Hi, not sure if you are still looking for an answer. I have managed to unlock 2 moto g handsets on Vodafone UK via the Motorola website. Are you sure your copy and pasting the unlock data correctly?

I unlocked the bootloader on a 8GB Vodafone Moto G yesterday, no problems at all.
As Sgt-Hartley says, are you sure you're formatting the code correctly prior to entering it on the Moto site?

Its cheaper ( 3 usd ) on ebay to unlock the moto g. search for a seller with good feedback and you'll be 100% safe.
Hello fellow community members. I was wondering if it's possible to unlock the bootloader for my XT1032. Apparently through conventional means, I am unable to unlock my Moto G's bootloader. For whatever reason, the AT&T variant cannot be unlocked through the Motorola website. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
Is there a way to carrier unlock the Moto G XT1031 on 4.4.4 from BoostMobile? I bought it certified pre-owned and I want to use it on TracFone. I read a few posts on the Internet that say that say unlocking the phone won't work past 1/15/2015... is this still the case on pre-owned devices? Or just for new devices bought after that date?
I'm a huge noob at this. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
You can unlock the bootloader here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2537119

Well you don't carrier unlock cdma phones you flash them to another carrier. As for moto g on any thing else but boost sorry it is a no go. Unless like the lg g2 it is possible to say take a rom from vzw and put it on the boost variant and make it a verizon. The lg g2 sprint can be carrier unlocked by flashing a tmobile rom that has been modded. Found that out here on xda and did it.
hello guys, sorry if i'm opening thread like this, i need some instructions if soneone can give it to me i'll be very glad.
so I have now motorola moto g cdma version. here are screens, can someone tell me how can install custom rom and which one I can? thank you guys!
Did you unlock your bootloader?
Probably not because VZW does not allow bootloader unlocking
Locked bootloader = No custom ROM's. No exceptions.

Hello Guys @ XDA.
I need HELP unlocking the bootloader of my Moto G 4G XT1045 Cricket mobile phone.
Please Help
Thanks in Advance.
Go to the Motorola Bootloader Unlocking site and follow the instructions on the site.
Google that, and you should be able to unlock your phone at a bootloader level.
That won't work. You'll just get a message about this device not being eligible for unlocking or something like that.

DC-Unlocker might be both your/OP's best bet if that works, but if it does not, then sadly, you might be stuck with a phone that you cannot do much, and believe me, it sucks as my brother-in-law had a Sony Xperia neo that was locked to T-Mobile, and therefore bootloader-locked, as a SIM-locked phone usually has its bootloader locked as well.
Update: after checking out the site, Motorola phones aren't supported.
Update #2: Check this out, but this will leave you $25 lighter on your wallet:

Unless something has changed recently, Sunshine doesn't work either because it's 4.4.4. Even if it did- yeah, it probably doesn't make much sense to spend more money than the phone is worth to unlock it. ?
