[Q] How to Make or Edit a Rom???

Well ,
In my opinion many would like to learn how to make from the beggining a custom rom ....!!!or even edit a stock one (that's what i want to do) .I tried to use SDK but it is very complicated for me . Can anyone provide me a simpler solution with enough details in order to be understandful enough (even for begginer like me )...
I would be grateful to anyone who will even try to help ( even if he is not I will thank him/her) .....

It depends on what phone you have.I've never made a custom rom so i know this from research.There's a guide on how to make a custom rom for the mytouch 3g in the mytouch 3g android development section.I won't post a link because i don't know whether it's allowed or not

[Q] Custom ROM for Samsung Galaxy Pop Plus GT -S5570I?

Are there any Custom ROMs for Samsung Galaxy Pop Plus?
have Clockworkmod recovery
rooted the phone
Downloaded Odin for the phone, too.
Is Cyanogenmod Available?

No Cyanogenmod available at the moment.
You'd better wait or follow all the thread about Pop Plus dev.

I just flashed my friends phone with http://yagyagaire.blogspot.in/2012/03/cyanogenmod-72-rc57-for-gt-s5570.html

But don't these phones have different hardware composition.. I mean using Galaxy Pop roms on Galaxy Pop Plus has been known to cause bricking.

HI all,
im new to this forum as you can see by my first post. I also have Samsung Galaxy Pop Plus a.k.a. Galaxy Mini GT-S5570i and i also wanted to ask did someone try to put any custom rom on this device. I rooted and network unlocked my phone by using guides found on this forum and i have to say thank you to those who have puted them there. I searched forum for more about custom roms for this device and couldnt find anything so if someone can also direct me if i missed something or to section where i can read more about this device.

Same here. Any word from the Cyanogenmod developers about this...? Or is there a phone which runs the same hardware as this? Something tells me that someone said the Galaxy Y has the same type of hardware composition. Or has someone taken the risk and tried using other roms on this device?

I found thread where ppls talking that custom roms for galaxy y can go on this device but i would like that someone from devs confirm that. There must be some dev that has tested it or knows someone who has...

I found out the way to do this, follow the steps below.
1. Follow this link and you'll get the Jack Custom Deodexed ROM for Galaxy Pop Plus.
Custom ROM Deodexed
2. Extract this file and any of the 7 ROMs from the link above to your computer.
3. Replace the (/system/cameradata) and (/system/lib/hw) folders in the downloaded ROM by the folders from Jack's Custom ROM.
4. Now create another ZIP file containing the new files of your ROM.
5. Update now from SD card and enjoy.
6. Make sure you calibrate!
Any questions feel free to reply. I tried with Chobits Digitalis and works awesome.

P.S. The phone version still shows as GT-S5360. Couldn't fix that...

Let's help ICS on SG Tab Plus

Hi everyone,
Althought i just have one post here , i been using this forum almost every day from the time i register for the first time...
Now i have got my Tab Plus, and i was disapointed about the "NO ICS YET" for this device.
I am no expert on android, but i want to ask something... can you use an HC kernel on ICS???
If so are we able to use that kernel with the HC wireless driver on and ICS release?
What about some developer boards from samsung? i have been looking at odroid but it runs a broadcom wireless card....
does anyone know if there is a diffrent manufactor that by miracle would have an atheros wireless card?
the CM porting is going well as i can see... lets bring shame on samasung developers, lets bring out ICS before they do... ahahahahh ( i mean an fully working ICS )

Dude, if u decide to help, just try it by yourself, i think our first and only dev for porting cm9 *aorth* is doing everything possible to kick samsungs ass :thumbup:

[Q] ClockworkMod Recovery (or any Recovery) for Samsung Illusion sch-i110?

Come on DEVS! Can't one of you AT LEAST help us poor folk out with a custom recovery for the sch-i110! I'm not asking for a complicated custom ROM here, just a simple custom recovery so that I can back my phone up to recover all of my important POOR PERSON STUFF when this piece of CRAP device glitches out. That's all I am asking for, PLEASE HELP ME :/ Thank You.

Ported A RoM ( LG E510 )

So today I ported a ROM for a Galaxy Ace to a LG UNIVA E510 ( Optimus Hub)
I didnt put the ROM online or such like that because I am testing it and it has no bugs or such things but some parts I need to add.
P.S: Using the ported ROM right now.
Now I want to ask following:
Do I need first to talk to the person who uploaded the ROM?
When I get a possitive answer may I put this ported ROM on XDA for others to use and download?
Sorii but I am kinda noobie in this way, altough I know how to flash and all stuff like that
I hope I get help around this, but how people say: Better to ask before to step in action

Ask the consent and then placed the rom, if you can put it on mediafire or other where you can download without sign in!
