A flashable zip would have been awesome
Sent from my A9 using Tapatalk 2
Flashable zip for Ringtones and Wallpapers is not a good thing, you might like one, you might not like one, with flashable zip everything will be installed unnecessarily
The links are updated btw. Lesson learnt, no more Dropbox nonsense for me.

Probably cuz you need to register on their forums, to download from their servers.
Which btw is against the xda rules. :/
There is a mirror in the OP although it would of been nice to know what gets changed/enhanced in more detail

[MOD] Volume boost for s4 with Kitkat 4.4.2

old Volume boost by boterkaaseneieren mods is locked and doesn't work on kitkat so i had a look at the new soundfiles and i created new sound boost mod.
Howto ?
1 easy way :
----------------
- download & extract sound mod of your choice to your phone
- Open a filebrowser that supports root
- Go to \system\etc\snd_soc_msm\
- IMPORTANT : copy to a safe place or rename snd_soc_msm_2x_Fusion3 before replacing with the modded file so you can restore if my default settings file don't work for you. If there exist no such file, then this mod is not for your phone
- Set permissions to rw-r-r-
- Reboot.
You now should have louder volume
2 Do it yourself way
-------------------------
i will explain for speaker, all the rest goes the same way
1 Copy snd_soc_msm_2x_Fusion3 from the directory system/etc/snd_soc_msm/ to your pc and open it with notepad++
2 search for 'speaker' (it is somewhere in the middle of the file) and after that look a little lower for 'digital volume' -> it will probably be somewhere around 65% by default
3 Change from (+/-) 65 to 70-75% depending on your wish to have louder or super loud speakers (don't go over 75% as it is very loud and might break your speaker !)
It is the same way for every sound option, search for the digital volume for the option you want to change (these parameters are all somewhere in the middle of the file) and change from 70 up to 75%
4 Once you have saved you must copy these files back to your phone and set permissions to rw-r-r (easy done in root explorer) and reboot to see if it worked.
Don't put at maximum volume with the Super Soundboost if your music is recorded loud allready, you and only you are responsible for your ears and device so use with caution

Let us know if it works on your device also (Kitkat only !)
Credits go to eheinzeiii for showing me what to look for in the soundfiles.
This post was created to make speaker louder
Post 4 has updated files for people who want Everything (except bluetooth) louder
FOR PEOPLE WITH i9506 try this : POST 51
FOR people who can't get louder volume with any off my mods please try this : Post 57

When i flashed the old Volume boost by boterkaaseneieren mods on my kitkat rom it resulted in having no sound while making a call so i had a look at the new soundfiles and i created some new files.
Howto ?
- download & extract sound mod to your phone
- Open a filebrowser that supports root
- Go to \system\etc\snd_soc_msm\
- Rename or (copy to a safe place) snd_soc_msm_2x_Fusion3 and replace with the soundmod of your choice.
- Set permissions to rw-r-r-
- Reboot.
If all goes well you should have louder volume, both in speaker and in earpiece.
Tested on my Samsung Galaxy s4 GT i9505 Probam 1.2 kitkat 4.4.2
Please Test this & let us know if it works on your device so i can update op with more working devices

works great with speaker and in-call volume on jamal2367's Google Edition RC2 rom. thanks
Using this with omni rom, seems to be doing the trick whereas flashing the old zips crippled Google voice search and sound search.
Thanks!

Changelog :
added sound boost for remaining channels such as VOIP & earphones.
Bluetooth i cannot find how to make louder
Thanks for the update, I've replaced the original file aswell as updating the nightly on omni rom. Works fine for me, but I've only been able to test it on music through the speaker and a phone call through the earpiece and also speaker.
All seems to be working and nice and loud. Btw I'm using the medium loudness file, loud enough for me.

Can you or someone else test it and share toughts because i have no i9500.
If you make sure that you rename the original file to .bak in the end before replacing it with the new file there will be no problem to rename it again and revert to your original files if something goes wrong and you get no more sound. Other then that make sure you follow the other guidelines also about setting permissions and reboot after every replacement

AOSP Look Dialer Screen N900 only/ v2 07/03/2014

AOSP LOOK DIALER
Updated v2 on 07/03/2014 With call recording button
I present you my work 4 the second time, i have spent months working on this.
yeah i know i have taken stuff from many themes but still it took me months to decompile, compile working on photoshop and other softs
i want to thank "mythtrandyr" whom apk i used as base apk because i wanted no delay option after end call and i am not smart enough to do it myself , so credits goes to him and specially "Dr.Ketan", i downloaded his fullscreen dialer apk mod and read his xml files and learnt some coding by seeing his files.
i am a web-developer and photoshop expert, made lot of stuff for myself for my old handsets.. note 1, 2 and now 3 but never shared anything here on XDA, why ? Because i am tooooooooooo lazy to do it
dont know why i am doing this but i know how much i hate touchwiz and know many people do...
so here's the AOSP LOOK Dialer apk for you guys
enjoy. And i'll be working on this and i know, i need to do many changes even now to make it more beautifl
thought i'll install AOSP rom like i did on note 2 but meah these 2 different versions one with snapdragon and another with exynos with no CM support... god not going to buy samsung again or i might buy snapdragon version from ebay nxt time.
just download the zip file and install using any recovery and reboot
!!! for N900 only please dont try this on N9005 !!!
NOTE::: this apk is designed for 430 DPI only !!!, it will look weird, if you have any other DPI, please change phone.apk dpi using XPOSED = APP SETTINGS module. Please dont complaint if it looks ugly and you have set your dpi to stock or something else.
i am not responsible if anything goes wrong with your phone:
attached are few screenshots and i'll be updating this APK whenever i get time, do post screenshots where you think i need to work on
please download and install my theme XperiaAlloy which will suit this apk, here's the link to the thread :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2723757
If you notice some miss alignment when you are calling somebody, thats because your phone DPI is set to stock or some other value........ Please Please change your phone's dpi to 430 or use APP SETTINGS module in XPOSED and change phone.apk dpi to 430 and restart.
thanks
gee

[MOD] Disable ascending ringtone\notifications

Click here for original mod for the Moto X Play
This mod is not my mod
I just used the script from eskamhl Moto X Play version and made it work for the Pure Edition
Just download the file below and flash in TWRP and you are all set!
make sure to give this guy credit for this mod
Phone no longer has that annoying ascending anything, notifications are good as well.
If you want to flash back the ascending volume, Click here
Credit for the restore goes to rsa 329

Will this mod still work once the MM update is released?
I'm I the only one who likes ascending ringtones lol? I find it quite nice but hey that's just me
Thanks!
I was just thinking about how I dislike the ascending ringtones feature when I happened upon this thread. I know it seems/sounds stupid, but some of my custom ringtones and notifications lose their intended effect with the ascending feature. This solves that, so thank you both very much!
Thank you!
I really didn't like this ascending "feature"
Could someone who was smart enough (the patch script isn't) to backup the original audio_ext_spkr.conf please post this file, or its content (it's not much)? The fix works for me. I'm just curious and wanted to test something.

I haven't gotten a chance to test it yet, but do we know if changing that file will hit us with the Android Pay failure to validate system issue? The MM file has the same issues as lollipop.

I manually edited the file and, no, it didn't trigger Android Pay failure to validate. Actaully it is the only mod so far (with Systemless root and AdAway Ad blocking) that I was able to apply without triggering the Android pay failure.
Proven to work on my MXPE 6.0
Thank God, now the phone is worth having lol
Thanks for this, drove me nuts
