Thanks for reply,
Its about Date of ROM update,
and this thread is related to development, so every body will be find custom roms with in, also know that when they update or release their rom,
If you are going to make this thread make it, putting links to the roms, if you finish it, I may even sticky it, but for now it is being moved to general. Thanks
-Techno
IMO this thread should be in general section. not here.
It is nice to see a thread dedicated to development updates. Androsomace, you must update this thread regularly for this to work and be really helpful, you may want to check the links you posted for images and include them, but you must edit(scale) them first to fit your post.
You can also change the title to "[INDEX] GALAXY Y DEVELOPMENT UPDATES" and please include WIP projects.
there are also dualboot kernel and modified kernel created by irfanbagus.
Make it Sticky/Pinned!!
Sticky will be set!
EDIT: Stuck it! Nice work on this thread androsamace!
No updates?

according to his profile, he was online today, but i dont know why he didnt update Chobits V2,ultimate rom,and merruk v2 to the index
don't worry, we can put the development index in general section. you can put it on our faq or carl's guide for noob thread.

ok, i will try to integrate it to the FAQ
@kurutsugi : BTW just one request can you give me the list of legitimate ROMS? not the ROMS of wannabee devs, their ROMs are incomplete and undeveloped, its a shame to add them in index since they are not complete and stable..and they are not developing the ROMS, just porting with no fixing
In the index i would like to have this
Custom ROMS
Creeds,chobits,ultimate,etc
Under Development ROMS
CM7 merruk
CM7 build9
Kernel
merruk
vivvek
CWM
Skins
Madteam
Under Development CWM
Merruk
and more, please give suggestions
Hey OP, since there is a similar thread available, according to Post 2. I'm closing this thread.
PG101 Edit: I would suggest that you work with ronnie and the other guy to get the FAQ and the other index thread up to the mark.. with a poll or suggestions.
Cheers!

2. CWM TOUCH ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1686598&highlight=cwm)
[ As most of the new ROM's are all BMM compatible it is advised to use it instead of CWM ]

CUSTOM KERNEL's :

This kernel is in a .zip format and can be directly flashed via BMM
These give you direct access to your CPU and Over clocking features
[ Note the 0.8xx kernels are for 4.2.2 and below and 1.x for 4.3 for Kit-Kat 2.0 & 3.0 onwards]
I will keep adding all the remaining ROM's to this thread and plzz feel free to post any new ones so that i can add them to the list....
IT WAS HIGH TIME SOMEONE MADE AN INDEX OF THE AVAILABLE ROM'S FOR OUR BELOVED A2
ENJOY !!!!!
DON'T FORGET TO CLICK ON THE THANKS BUTTON IF THIS HELPED YOU XD
Hi
This thread is for all you people new to the atrix 2
it is a simple way to view all that we have in store for customizing the a2.......:d
The problem with this kind of thread is that it is rare that the people that need it spelled out for them like this won't bother taking the time to read them. Good effort though.
u have missed something in OP .... u forgot to put CM10 on list ....
as i know..., we will got the official one soon...
btw ..., nice thread for noob ... :good:
I put up this thread to help all those noobs who keep posting what should i do which ROM should i download my Ctd.bin file error when i flash RSD
this is to simplify it for all of them
And i noticed our A2 doesnt have a list of ROM's and an index page so i think it will be useful to everyone
as it covers a wide range of problems
Although its a WIP ill keep adding more tips and other ROM's it will be easier to access all the links in one page rather than searching
all the forums for the correct one......
Just a thread to Help everyone and show our appreciation to the DEV's who made it all happen....

All the ppl on the apex noob q&a thread keep asking the same questions and dont bother even searching the forums
This thread will answer most of their problems and decrease the amount of noob posts regarding the same problem over and over again
Just post this thread whenever they ask something that way they can see all the issues in one place and get all their issues solved.

Or simply tell them to read over the development section. This forum has always had a problem with repetitive questions. Encouraging others to read and educate themselves can help to resolve some (but not all) of that. I'm not saying that you were wrong in posting this thread, just don't be surprised or discouraged when it inevitably gets ignored by those who would benefit the most from it.
If I had a dollar for every time I said that, I'd be making money in a very weird way.

Make sure that it is not capitalized. If you want to see the exact name that the system is looking for then open the zip, find the file named desc.txt and open it in a text editor/viewer. You'll see a line that looks like:
s droidhd.ogg
The "s" means that the animation will use a sound and what follows is what the name of the sound is. Then just make sure that the bootanimation.zip and the audio file are both in /system/media with the correct permissions, etc.
As far as getting it running on jb. I haven't found anything that seems to work. From what I've read, it seems as though it might have to be supported by the ROM and/or kernel. But I'm not positive of that.

There is nothing like the perfect ROM its the dev's who put in the hardwork to make it possible
So please don't say this is the perfect ROM etc...
Each ROM is unique in its own way and everyone has their own perfect ROM that suits them........
So keep flashing all the amazing ROM's we have and choose what best suits your needs......:silly:
This is probably a dumb question, and I'm sure there's a thread about it that I couldn't find, but to install a custom kernel would you just go into BMM recovery and install zip like with the ROM, GApps, etc.? And if so, any extra steps to take to install it without having to like reflash the ROM and losing all my ****?

We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.

I tried reboot the modem, reboot the phone, but nothing changes.
It must be CarbonROM related, because WIFI worked well before I installed CarbonROM.
Downloading now. Thanks to all Carbon Community!

@pankspoo
It is already in the forums... Uploaded by official developer.
Plus it is wrong section to post a rom..
And noticed that you're re-uploading a lot of things which are already in the forums.. kind of making it mess.
And the last time I remembered you reposted systemUI mod for lockscrren weather from other developer when even original developer havent posted it, and it was buggy as hell but a lot people from your thread installed it.
What im trying to say, if you posting other people projects, make sure that it not posted alrwady in the forums.. and choose right section. Or ask to close your thread when here is already a tread by original developer.

I asked the developer of this rom regarding opening of thread when this rom is available at one plus official forum. But later he created original thread for rom after 4-5 days of this thread. And i will close this thread i known what to do and what not to do.
Second regarding lockscreen mod i seen that mod officially by posted through xda article news where the developer not mentioned about bugs they understood when i created the thread only problem is that i not asked regarding opening of thread to developer.
Here the main problem is that some xda atricle news are posted by xda members before original thread of that mod is not created or some articles doesn't have any base thread.
So i just tried to Create the thread for them. So if someone willing to try by that thread and so we can discuss problems we face, because of that we got lockscreen mod thread by original developer.
i dont think he was going to create that one but because of lots of bugs he done that.(when he saw our thread and complaints ). In this case i admire my mistake that i doesn't asked him.
Another thread of resurrection remix android 8.1 is good example of that where developer not created thread for that rom as it is single and last update by developer so i created that but suddenly in future if he Crete thread regarding that then its not my mistake friend.
So i will Close this thread surely and i personally going to do that when i saw thread by developer.
So i am not messing anything i just try to give some useful info to peoples which we can miss.
Thread closed at OP's request.
LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of android, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock android for your device.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit LineageOS Wiki.
Disclaimer: This is the first time I post a ROM, and I'm not able to even test it myself at the moment. It may not even boot, kill your cat or make you lose your stimulus check. I'm putting it out here because there is no lineage OS for 7t (but there is for 7t pro). This is based on the device tree of the 7t pro, I know the pro ROM boots fine on regular 7t, but due to motorized camera setup on the pro, the camera is completely broken on regular. This is the (only) thing I was trying to solve.

Update:
What works:
ROM boots
wifi works
Lineage Camera works!
audio/video playback
fingerprint
What doesn't work:
GSM/4G does not work, device crashes hard when you try to use the dialer
GCam crashes
So clearly this is pre-alpha and you should not flash it ;-). Will try to fix.

Tonight as work blocks downloads
Wow gotta try this out tonight
don't flash, it's not working. I've updated the OP. I'm rebuilding with muppets vendor blobs. Will report back (probably tomorrow as build takes hours and it's already late).

Thanks for the update
It booted but then powers off during setup (right past WIFI password). Seemed fast though
good
Sorry guys, I'm struggling with this. I guess I created this thread (way) too early.
Or it doesn't boot, or it boots, but no GSM and crashes quickly. I continue to learn, hopefully in another 100 attempts I'll have something usable . Are there any people here wanting to help out by testing (most probably broken ) builds? It's difficult for me to keep flashing my only phone (I need it to be working).
I'm now trying with 18.1. Lineage OS does not have a kernel or blobs tree for android 11 for sm8150, but yaap does. Maybe it's a stupid idea, but trying anyway
