FAQ:
1.What is the difference between Freeze and Uninstall?
Freezing an app is to disable and hide the app.
Go to History> Frozen to defrost them if you want to use them.
Uninstalling an app is to permanently delete apk files and apps data. Go to History>Uninstalled to reinstall them.
2. What is Backup and Restore?
UU can backup selected apk files and apps data including multiple versions of per app and restore them separately. If the app you want to restore has been uninstalled, it will be automatically reinstalled.

More about Freeze feature of UU Uninstaller:
UU allows you to “Freeze” apps which restricts the ability for that app to open. This can be used multiple ways
•Stop it from running
•Stop other people from snooping in those apps
•Stops you (maybe your little sibling or 1 year old kid has your phone) from accidentally clicking the app
and more.

Here's a way for you (and anyone else that posts apps here.):
Add a link, yo. (As in [/ url] link. Not a blasted paste of the url without making it clickable.) You went through all the trouble to write up that crap, put at least two more seconds and link your goddamned app. Thank you.

You have done great with this app and are doing great already by me - the link is clickable to app's Googlyville ... seems ok to me. Besides he who wants can also DL the apk via evozi.
Fantastic uninstaller app. I have tried many but this is the best - simple, straight to business; a recycle bin, like Dumpster for apps? Genius! And free? That's generous!
No trying here, this is a keeper, it's staying put. Thank you! Great job.

You app and apps data can be fully cleared after you tap DELETE in Recycle Bin.
For now they will only be cleared on device memory.
But good news is that the update for removes from SD card is soon coming.
Stay tuned with our updates!

For apps that get installed on SDcard their data folders are normally created on device unless one has implemented a move them to SDcard. So maybe moving the app back to device from SDcard, then uninstalling should achieve the same results?
To make this app even more awesome can you consider these features:-
-an apk manager that will 1-backup apks, & an option to choose a back up location, & 2-directly share apk file via BT, etc.
-a move to SD card-that will either accommodate moving data and/or a choice to include data being moved.
-Move to phone of course
Looking forward to the update.
Looks userfriendly and works good
The new update - startup control - is great!

Hey, thanks for your good tips.
As I know, the location of data folder depends on the download manager you are using or how you set up the storage path.
A single app like App Memory SD Card Transfer may be needed to implement what you said above.
A lot of improvements are scheduled. We’ll include the Transfer function in the future.
FYI, We’ll have a big update for Version1.4!

Thanks for this!
I just made some minor adjustments including adding a few new language filters. Currently here is the breakdown of languages:
English: 130,886 apps
Chinese: 2,099 apps
Japanese: 1,433 apps
Korean: 1,249 apps
French: 808 apps
Spanish: 800 apps
German: 708 apps
The language is determined by running a language detection API against the app descriptions and titles. As far as I know this is the only app that lets you subscribe to apps by language.

confused on how to use this app?
I need some help understanding what this is, what it does, and how to use it.
Is it a second marketplace that is intended to replace the google marketplace?
If yes then I take it to mean that this app's intended use to to search, download, install, and maintain the apps on your phone?
Is this app intended to be used in conjunction with the google marketplace?
If yes then in what ways: searching, sorting, etc?
Is information shared between this app and the google marketplace? For exmaple if you can download apps from this app then do the downloaded apps also show up as being downloaded in the google marketplace?
The above are some of the questions I was thinking but if when replying you can think of other useful advice and info you want to share in how to use the app that would be appreciated.

Yes this can replace the market in terms of finding new apps. The point of this is to find good, new apps and closely monitor the market. It provides more advanced filters to find specifically what you want. It doesn't scan your apps and offer suggestions. That isn't the goal of this app.

Sorry, I missed the update to your post. The app actually sends you to the market when you choose an app, so yes the downloads count. This app only replaces the searching and browsing process. No data is shared between the two apps.

I was wondering if I could get some feedback on the name of this app. It's a different concept so I had a hard time coming up with a descriptive name. Some other ideas I had were Hawkee App Subscribe, Hawkee Market Subscribe, Hawkee App Monitor, or Hawkee Market Monitor.

Once i installed this app i cannot access the "downloads" section in my regular market. it either says theres no connection, or it force closes. Ive tried uninstalling Hawkee, wiping market data, uninstalling/reinstalling regular market, rebooting.....nothing is fixing this problem, which is obviously a major one

This seems to be unrelated. Did you recently upgrade your market app? This app doesn't have any connection with the market app. It only sends you there when you pick an app.

Nope my last market update was last week. i was browsing my downloads earlier today to check for application updates which i normally do.
i understand that you want to preserve the reputation of your app, and i can respect that. however it seems like a distinct possibility that this app caused this problem. earlier in this thread another poster claimed that this app had an effect on his market, as well.
this is not a personal attack, and there obviously is a chance that both of these incidences are coincidence. but it doesnt sound like it. you may want to look into it, since this app is now public on the forum, youd definitely rather have 2 complaints than several. just a little advice, it doesnt hurt to check, rather than simply sweeping it under the rug.
all i know and can say, aside from i love the idea of your app, ever since installing my market has been malfunctioning, even after a system install/uninstall.
TopShelf, Thanks for the response. I'm sorry to sound like I was so easily dismissing your problem, but I'm on my laptop now and can look into this more thoroughly. I researched the issue you described and came up with this thread:
http://www.google.fm/support/forum/p/Android+Market/thread?tid=5f475fcdfcc22233&hl=en
The conclusion seems to be that it's a problem on Google's end. People were pointing out a few apps that, when uninstalled, fixed the problem temporarily. But it seems there is no permanent fix yet. Some people suggested installing AppBrain in order to update your apps, but that's certainly not a long term solution.

Guys,
Android has an excellent array of security apps to protect you against threats of malware and viruses. But in my opinion, privacy issues are a far greater concern. Thanks for the user zagzag99 who translated it in English from Google Translator.
What permissions and elements of my phone are newly installed apps using? How safe is the private data I store on my phone? This was a gap in my knowledge that I wanted to fill – and LBE Privacy is a great tool for this job.
The app protects my privacy, and safeguards services that could cost me money if the wrong apps gained control of them. It does all this with a beautiful and intuitive interface.

LBE Privacy has a well-designed interface with a simple colour scheme of white and blue. At the forefront of the design is a welcoming main screen displaying the Internet, Privacy, Money, Applications and Settings options.
This great design found through the app makes using it easier and more intuitive – but more than that, it helped me, psychologically, to trust it; the fact they’ve thought out the design makes me feel more comfortable with the app, and lets me assume that the code behind the scenes is also well-designed.
LBE Privacy Guard’s/master privacy offerings were the main draw for me; while the ROM I run (Cyanogenmod) already allows me to decide what permissions to grant apps, it’s nowhere near as powerful or easy to use as LBE Privacy Guard/Master.
This app lets you restrict access to SMS, Contacts, Call Logs, Positioning, and your Phone ID. By default, when an app on your phone attempts to use one of the previously mentioned permissions on your phone LBE Privacy Guard/Master will ask you whether to allow it or not.
For those of you interested, there is also an events log showing the history of requests by all the apps on your phone.
Money
This function of LBE Privacy Guard/Master protects your pocket! It blocks apps from accessing permissions that could cost you money: SMS and the ability to make phone calls. This section also appears in the aforementioned event log.
By default, all non-system apps are set to prompt you when requesting access to such features. Although this wasn’t a feature I was looking out for, I feel now that its quite an important one and something I should have wanted much earlier.
Application Monitoring
The section allows you to browse each app on your phone and change the permissions each app has access to. I’ll run through the options for Angry Birds which you can see in the screenshot. The first option, Trust. allows you to automatically allow the app access to everything: SMS, Contacts, Call Logs, Positioning and your Phone ID. It’s also possible to adjust access to these items separately; for instance, to help ensure I don’t go over my download limit I’ve denied a lot of apps access to my Data.
Internet:
The Internet section of LBE Privacy Guard isn’t really related to privacy, apart from giving you the ability to restrict certain apps from accessing the net. You’ll see a graph showing how much data you’ve used from your plan, as well as your Wi-Fi usage. Once you set a limit for your data plan, LBE Privacy Guard will alert you if you cross 90% of your allocated amount.
The options included are pretty useful: you’re able to set the billing day for the month so the app keeps prefect track of the amount of data you have left on your plan for the billing month, not the actual month! For those of you just installing the app now, there’s also the option to adjust monthly data usage so LBE Privacy Guard is on track from day one.
Settings Available
The settings area allows you to toggle the different features I’ve already gone through. It’s also possible to turn off notifications – though I find this pretty useful as it shows how much of my data plan I’ve used – and to stop the app starting on boot-up, though in my opinion that’s not something you should do without thinking about first; this app needs to be running all the time to ensure it’s protecting your privacy.
Conclusion
LBE Privacy Guard/Master keeps impressing me the more I use it. Not only has it excelled at guarding my privacy (as its name would suggest), it’s also helped me cut down on my data usage. Thanks to this, I’ll be able to get a cheaper contract in January when my contract needs renewing – so the app has saved me money!
Regarding privacy: be sure to spend a few minutes going through the settings, both overall and for each app, as this is what will make this app so powerful and easy to use. There are many features on offer, so if you’re not interested in some please don’t decide against using this great app – just turn them off. LBE Privacy Guard will keep your data safe.

Hello, this permission(make phone call) is for call blocking feature, while unwanted call comes, CM Security will help you to block it.
CM (Cleanmaster) Security
No action details
I've just installed the app, and run it. It showed one vulnerability: SMS phishing, an app or what. There were no details whatsoever about this - before or after cleaning. I think it is important to know what exactly was the culprit. What did your app just delete from my phone? What if it wasn't a real threat but something that I wanted to be there? Now I've no way of checking.
Otherwise, a very sleek interface. And the app doesn't appear to be a major RAM hogger - at first there were two instances or a total or a total of 2 processes and 2 services taking up about 12 MB, but now there's one instance taking up about 6 MB, which is great for my underpowered SH-01D where I rarely have more than 150-180 MB of RAM free.

Thanks for your feedback. You can press the left part of each item to see the detailed information.
If you had read the detailed information, was it not detailed enough for you to know how the vulnerability was fixed or why was an app a virus? We will make the resolving process more clear and provide the logs in the future versions.

Thank you for replying. I did read the "detailed" description which was shown after pressing the arrow on the bottom left side. The only details were something like "an app that may send messages that cost you money". Yeah, quite detailed. No mention whatsoever of the app's (or process, or I don't know what) name or location or anything. Neither before cleaning, nor after.
Yes, adding logs is a very good idea.

Did you mean that you have an virus app which is in Malware catogory? All the apps we scan is what intalled on your phone, including pre-installed apps, name of the app is listed under the Malware catogory, after uninstall it, threats shall be resolved. You can choose to turst that app as well.

No, if safe browsing is enabled, we will block the phishing websites or malicious websites when you visit them.

I don't understand what you mean by "you have an virus app which is in Malware catogory". I don't think I do - I am very careful about what I install and about my sources. There is no menu option on your app to show me if something has been classified as "malware".
I just installed your app on my old phone, and scanned it. The exact same results were shown - the first was that some sort of protection is disabled, but the second one is the same "SMS Phishing Vulnerability" that it discovered on my main phone. This time I took screenshots. I have not "fixed" the SMS Phishing problem because I am not sure there is any problem. I think I know all my contacts and there aren't any spoofs among them - I have only 196 contacts.
Can you help me identify which one is this "bad contact" before I use the "fix" option?
---------------------------------------
EDIT: My second phone actually had my girlfriend's profile, so the "SMS Phishing" contact that was detected must have been in her phonebook. So I deleted her Google account from the phone, which automatically deleted the entire phonebook. Then I manually went through every single contact in my phonebook. Of the 196 contacts, 20 had been automatically added from Gmail. So, I deleted them, and now have 176 contacts. Then I synced my profile on the second phone, with the cleaned up phonebook. Then launched your app again --- and again it found an "SMS Phishing Vulnerability"... Where? Why? How? If it found one during the first scan on my main phone, and then cleaned it, and after that I manually edited the contacts, and then synced them to the second phone -- the same problematic contact shouldn't exist, right?
----------------------------------------
Also, there's something which may qualify as a bug: When installed, your app automatically adds a shortcut to the home screen - I have specifically disabled this in Google Play and in my phone's settings.
I just installed it and it's so beautiful!!!! Let's wait and see

Hello:
The "SMS Phishing Vulnerability" means your android system has a Vulnerability(flaw), which can be used by other application on your phone to insert an incoming SMS to your inbox, the content and sender could be arbitrary, this will be very dangerous, if it's exploited by malware. And fix solution of CM Security is dynamic protection, while malware trying to use this system's flaw and send fake SMS to you, CM Security will help you to block it and remind you it's not a real SMS from the SMS's sender.
Hopes it's clear for you to understand this flaw and our solution. If any problem, feel free to contact us.
For the shortcut on home screen, we'll take a look into it. thanks for your feedback.

App Eater: A highly functional uninstaller with incredibly useful home screen widgets

}
App Eater (Uninstaller) lets you remove unwanted apps right from your home screen, in addition to being a fully functional standalone uninstaller.
Using the widgets, you can uninstall the following without even entering the app:
Last installed app
Last updated app
Most recently used app
Each widget shows the icon of the app you will be uninstalling as well, to make it even more intuitive. Take a look at the screenshots to see what I mean.
Additionally, App Eater is an extremely capable standalone uninstaller, with features including:
Easy access to last installed, last updated, and most recently used apps
List mode to show all apps (including non-application packages like widgets)
Batch uninstall
Silent batch uninstall (rooted devices only- this is an Android limitation)
Uninstall history
Option to show system apps
System app uninstall (rooted devices only- this is an Android limitation)
Disable apps (rooted devices only- this is an Android limitation)
Clear app data and cache (rooted devices only- this is an Android limitation)
Ability to lock apps to prevent their removal from within App Eater or the widgets
Sort by name, install date, update date, size, system/user installed, recently used, disabled/enabled status, and locked status
Reverse sort order
Search all apps for a specific string
Long press to open app, open app info, open Play Store listing, or share app
System storage info displayed
Show app version option
"Apps Eaten" counter to track number of uninstalls with app
More features coming soon!
I want App Eater to replace whatever uninstaller you are using now. Its widget functionality doesn't exist in any other app, and I intend for the standalone uninstaller to be the absolute best in the Play Store. More features are coming soon, but please let me know if you want anything in particular. Thanks, and enjoy!
Screenshots:
I've uploaded the APK for those who prefer to install manually. Thanks, and enjoy!
I have added a first-time start-up tutorial for those who didn't quite understand certain features like app locking. Enjoy!
Does this app can uninstall the app/s completely include cache, data & so on?
Thank you. Will try it out.
Features l like to see!!
Look great app features l like to see!!:good:
- Apps freezer
- Uninstall system applications
- Backup date/system apps+data apk to sdcard
- Restore backed up applications
- Sync to/from Dropbox
An article I read said this can remove bloat ware system apps, insinuating without root. Is this right ? Thought that would be impossible

The way it works (as do most uninstallers) is that the app tells the system it wants to uninstall an app. Then the system then takes over (displays the "OK/Cancel" dialog and actually uninstalls it.
If I have an app that has data or cache, and I uninstall it and reinstall it, then all the data and cache seems to be gone. I have only tested this on a handful of apps, so there might be some that are not cleared. If you have any examples, I will be glad to take a look.
I am planning on adding rooted uninstall features (which removes the app manually), and I will look into having this as an option. Thanks for your interest!

I will look into freezing apps. I've never used it, but it seems like a good feature to have.
You can only uninstall system apps if you are rooted. I am currently working on this functionality.
I'm not sure that I want to add backup/cloud functionality, as it seems somewhat tangential to uninstalling apps. There are some power-user apps that can already do that, as others have mentioned. If demand is high, I'll look into it.
I am also planning on adding a feature that will keep a list of your uninstalled apps, and direct you back to the Play Store to reinstall them if you change your mind.
Thanks for the feedback!

I have an app that need special attention, it is picarts photo studio. I have uninstalled it (with built-in uninstaller), but it still leave garbage file in /sdcard.

I tried it out and I see what you mean now. Unfortunately, this is just bad design on the part of the makers of PicsArt. There is a way for apps to use a private file directory that will be deleted automatically when the app is uninstalled, but instead PicsArt opted to use the general sdcard storage, which is not tied to any app. For example, if an app writes to a folder called "Pictures," it's probably not a good idea to delete it when the app is uninstalled, since other apps might use the same folder. Trying to solve this problem would likely open up a whole mess of potential issues that I think the general user shouldn't have to deal with, so I don't think App Eater is the right place for it.
I found an app called SD Maid which can find folders that aren't needed anymore, but it was not able to automatically detect this one in particular. Maybe you'll find it useful, though.
The internal "data" and "cache" for the app does get cleared using App Eater, though. You can see this by checking Settings>Apps>PicsArt after reinstalling and before opening the app.

Oh ok, so its from the developers, and picarts has designed to doesnt delete internal data even it has been uninstalled.
I have used it, but sometime detects false positive. Probably still use old database.

OK, I understand now. Reading your post again, I wonder if you meant the actual app icon, and not the widget design. I will look into allowing for alternative app icons (I don't know if this is technically possible from within the app), but I am hesitant to change the icon design outright, since as the app grows in popularity it's important to maintain familiarity.
I will definitely look into alternative widget designs, though, if that's what you meant.
Thanks!
The subject of app/bloatware removal/disabling has been mentioned in a few threads throughout the NEX forum,but,not much to mention as far as advancing the discussion,so,I thought I'd start a thread to centralize the topic.
As w/any mods go,this is one that's fairly harmless,worse case scenario,a factory reset will get you back on track,but,ultimately everyone is responsible for their own phone & what happens to it.
With that out of the way..............
1) Any app that can be easily uninstalled by the "uninstall" button is 100% safe,no harm whatsoever. If you want,d/l an apk extractor tool app to make a copy & store wherever,should you change your mind.
2) Now,most are interested in getting rid of as many of the VIVO system apps as possible w/o crippling wanted functionality. This will be an evolving list,& gradually adding to it,with input from anyone interested,I'll update the list right here.
3) OK,the How-To is right here: https://www.xda-developers.com/uninstall-carrier-oem-bloatware-without-root-access/
4) Now here's what I have so far (see below,I'll edit/add as needed)
Any input regarding adding to the list is encouraged,please only suggest bloatware that you have actually uninstalled yourself & please include any effects on functionality that may have resulted,especially if it affected other apps & their functionality. (question marks below [??/etc...] are in place of Chinese letters/characters)
5) Once again,tried & tested input is highly encouraged & welcome. The list will grow & evolve/be edited on a continuous basis until we all get it figured out. :good:
******** A factory reset will restore all uninstalled apps
******** OTA's shouldn't be affected or affect the status of apps,whether they're installed or uninstalled (unless,of course,you've deleted something pertaining to updates,which won't be listed below)
******** The dates reflect the time of posting/removal,for ease of troubleshooting,in the event something noteworthy gets broken,it gives a good reference where to begin looking for the problem/solution.

Updated OP with Dates of Removal, to facilitate troubleshooting in the event something of consequence gets broken.
I'm using the latest Windows 10 build where command prompt is replaced with Powershell. Have tried various options on the internet to revert back to command prompt (including going to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar and disable the option to use Powershell), but still stuck with Powershell. Any other workarounds ?

I'm also on WIN10 & using Powershell, seems to be working here, been using it on various phones for ADB & Fastboot commands since day one.
Did you get the initial permission request pop-up on your phone?

Resolved, managed to have my NEX detected and successfully uninstalled several packages.
For the following Vivo apps, what are the respective packages i should uninstall?
1) vivo.com
2) GameCenter
3) i Theme

Great post - many thanks. I must have uninstalled something I shouldn't have as the swipe up from the middle to get multitasking no longer works !!
Any ideas ?
I think i will wait to see if we can get and install the global rom before trying to uninstall some chinese app.

Nothing really jumps out from the list in the OP.
1) Are you able to use the nav buttons & get to recents/multi-tasking?
2) Did you uninstall anything that's not on the current list in the OP?
Many thanks for this great thread!
I have received my NEX today and right now am uninstalling stuff. If I get any new to be removed safely I will post here!
Best greetings from Austria!

Thanks for the reply. I made sure that I only uninstalled items that were indicated safe in your post and some from the post by WhySoSeriousJoKer. I certainly have not uninstalled 'com.vivo.upslide' which was flagged as disabling navigation gestures.
All the other gestures work fine, it's only the swipe up from the middle to bring up the open apps !

Yeah, I wouldn't have uninstalled that one either.
For troubleshooting purposes, can you try out using the navigation buttons, see if you can access recents/multitasking?
Also, which software version were/are you on when you lost the multitasking function?
It probably doesn't matter, but, any information for troubleshooting purposes is always a good thing...

You show com.vivo.browser as one of the apps that can be removed. When I send Location Sharing from Google Maps to a contact via messenger, the link opens up using the vivo Browser app. Can this be defaulted to another app before that browser is removed?

Here's the choices of sharing that pop-up,with the apps removed (on 7/7/18) :
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
If I tap "Select People",my Google contacts appear & I get a link to direct share & it selects my default texting app (Textra,FWIW).
EDIT: @Saloei
As for if the default can be selected before the VIVO Browser is removed,I don't know,TBH,this is the 1st time I've ever used Location Sharing,LOL.
Can you send yourself a Location Sharing link selecting MESSENGER and then add your phone number as the receiver to see if it'll work with no VIVO BROWSER app installed?

If you're speaking about Facebook Messenger, I don't use Facebook, but I was able to share the link with Textra, my default messaging app. I shared it to myself on the same phone, using both SIM Cards & using the same SIM Card as sender & receiver.
Also sent my location to another phone I have via Textra with no problem whatsoever.
Perhaps someone here who has already deleted the VIVO Browser & uses Facebook can verify it'll work.
My guess is that it will, but, I can understand if you're hesitant, most don't want to have to start over via factory reset if, in the unlikelyhood, it doesn't work.....
