Hi there, Dickens (Dickens stands for folks, lovers, haters, clowns, supermen, spidermen bla bla bla... and you can consider what are you to me as I always love you all hehe)
So as you all have known, I am so busy nowaday (but unfortunately I can spare a lil time to make this ridiculous topic). Okay, this can be a play I have put on anw so you all dunt have to believe (as someone might say F to me for saying or being busy, good). So this is my last words to you all and I swear these are my last words, thanks for reading.
First, Yaylaaaa, it's thanks time. I always want to thanks these people from the bottom of my heart: Team ACID (Jeff, Bryan, Fernando, Carl, James,... and many more from this team that I might forget). Further more, from bottom of my second heart (yeah, I have two hearts), thanks Erik, Thomas Raines, Kyndig,... and all supporters and donators, John (Johnadelic), Rebel_x,... (I will include a pic of donators later as I can't remember all atm). And thanks Thomas Bell for GPS script finding, weirdo-in-my-source finding and help me to realize how werido I am, how kittie I am (as I can't use the other word that means girly cat I guess lol) and how selfish I am, how female-dog-y I am, cool. After all, I am so corny lol. And say what, the cause of my kernel not booting in previous builds were cause by messes by us - not specify you or me - and no one, either you or me - made it work again literally so don't talk to me like you were the hero and I am your doggy altho I did feel like that somehow and dunt know why lmao. You had the right to demand me and swear to me, rite? Thanks but no thanks!
Second part is for stories, short ones. I first wished to contribute a bit to this phone community was after Itzik Shabtay's guides so thanks him especially. My two master sensei were Erik and Thomas Raines and they rock!!! They helped me to port and how to use google search tool. Yeah I think there should be a school for teaching how to use google tho. I love you all. And damn, I can't forget mentioning team Acid, great team we ever have and how cool they are, how supportive they are and how fun we were on IRC. Especially nights talking to noiphonehere and porting newer Android versions. Damn, I girly love you all! And love this community with supports from James (raverx3x) for his Helios buildbox and John (johnadelic) for his Tardis build box. Without them I couldn't have done some works literally including works for codina (galaxy Ace 2) and galaxy s3. And my first donators that help me w cash for my upcoming uni entrance exam which I have used as an excuse for lack of supporting.
But then who would know how bad, how kittie (again I can't use p--- word), how selfish, how annoying I could become and now here I am, insulting myself and being back up as a consider I thought I should. My works are garbage and they shouldn't publicly exist here so I will whack them all off and move to bitbucket til I can improve it a bit, just a bit as I can't do superb works anw. But I if anyone demand the source to be opened and can really develop mine better, I will be glad to share with him or her (esp team acid, erik, thomas raines, john,...). I dont want those shame exists here anymore, garbage. In the opposite, noiphonehere or jeff's sources are far better than mine so please use them instead if you have desire to.
By the way, let's make this clear:
Aries to work: Thanks Carl a.k.a noiphonehere
GPS to work: Thanks to Team Acid's old ROM that contains the script and inimeg81 to find it out.
Video working again with stock gallery: Thanks no one as I just did a clean kernel and started from scratch again. If anyone deserve this thanks, it must be Team Acid.
Kernel not booting then revives again: Thanks no one. TBH, I think I was a part of the cause as I made the buildbox messy with mixing ccache for cross builds and cross devices compiling but I did really aware what I had done and it shouldn't had be messy like that so I dunt specifically blame on anyone. Thanks John for let me work on myself instead on a shared acc folder .
Camera: Thanks Team Acid: Max, Jeff, Carl and esp Jeff, who helped me realize my stupido about the lib name or so .
Most of the thanks should go to Team Acid and JT1134 . And tbh, I haven't claimed any fix as mine lmao so don't mistake me or just basically say me kanging their jobs, it's ok!
Anw, of course I won't stop supporting this phone but I won't post anything here as garbage should not be here. At most there will be some more closed thread to inform bout newer ROMs and or newer Android updates (open and closed immediatly as I dun't want you all to waste time and stink ur fingers typing in such garbage threads). I will do what I can to always support this phone even there's fewer user uses this phone nowaday.
After all, team acid rocks! Team fah-q rocks! And anyone still building for this phone rocks! And I just shamely kanged on their work lmao.
You all have my goo.im's folder link so I will push my works to it in the future w/o informing or with some more closed thread. Thanks for using my works ppl. Really love you.
P/s: I purposely forgot mentioning DJLamontagneIII becoz I love u bro that I will thanks you here for all ur supports and ur source that I have shamely kanged on. Goodbye all my friends, haters and lovers,...
Pp/s: wow, such a weirdo drama here that shouldn't belong to General section I guess lmao. I wished I could trust ones that had insulted or swore to me literally. But fortunately I can't. Even tho I am a female-hot-dog or a kittie's hole but I am not a stupid fool so please...
Thanks ppl who donated to me:
Keith Hooker - $20
Christopher Criner - $10
Matt Hay - $25
Benjamin Hutson - $10 (I really love your name, hoping one day I will be an American, maybe Benjamin Dao )
John Kyriakakis - $10 - Thanks for your great Tardis, man!
It's really so much to me, you know. Thanks all people here in this community . Farewell!

Thanks. And yup, I'm out and will be back when newer Android version is released and would try to port it, too if better devs wouldn't do it. I'm bored with KK building lol, it's so boot-able and has some bugs fixed to run as DD w/o any effort nowaday, just a build command and done and I don't need to even care bout pointing out mem offset, IRQ,...errors. And patches repo wich would fix certain ROM source's build errors is there for freely use, too, meh, too easy job. And Ooops, sr for breaking my vows for the last words.
Anw, Thankfully I just needed a pure re-sync without any commit to fix anything, the boot or so, and it worked so I guess God fixed it for me hohoho - or maybe Santa Clause, but really?!
And thanks for using my works @christoophat
Farewell Dao as the only dev
we really had here for the last year.
It's sad to see you go.
It won't be the same
without you here.
I always looked forward to your work.
Slim Saber is probably my favorite
ROM for this phone.
Thanks for all your hard work.
Good luck in whatever you do in the future.
This is now my backup phone
So it's all good..
Good luck Dao.......

Dao, thanks for all your hard work. I'm on the S5 now, but still use your "kanged" works of art on my SGS4G. Great work man.
Thank you for supporting this ol' phone even though Samsung decided to drop it, hope you come back a better dev ready to "kang" us out of rootless existence!

Hello.. My name is Joel.. .and I am a FF'er.. Frequest Flasher... for the last 2 weeks I think I flashed my phone at LEAST once a day... and just wanted to say.. and give a HUGE thanks to Justanothercrowd, Drizzy and anyone else who helped create JacHero.. This latest 2.6.3 version runs by far the best out of all the releases I have tried. It is stable, pretty quick.. has the least amount of lag.. and is overall a GREAT release..
I would have just left a compliment in your release thread.. but It is growing so large, I feel a compliments thread is appropriate and leave the official thread for ?'s and ROM specific talk..
* To the mods.. sorry if this is inappropriate for the section... if you do insist on deleting.. can you at least leave for a short period of time for those that wish to give their thanks!
Thanks to all of the contributors of XDA! You all are great!
Good Work
I tried it, thought it was brilliant, but couldn't get my bluetooth headset working, so in the end had to go back to cyanogen.

well keep a good eye on the hero releases! because soon enough (if you've been watching them anyway) they'll be fixing the bluetooth! its been a huge bugger since the beginning with all of the hero builds, same with the LED lights. so far they can turn on BT via terminal! so thats pretty close!
STAY TUNED! you'll be shocked at how awesome it'll be
Lol I agree with the OP. Absolutely oustanding job by everyone. Cyrowski, db.hates.you. revox, JAC, drizzy, etc...
I like this thread, I want to say thanks but not blow up the dev thread (however this is questionable because this is still the dev sub category in the forum). So to all the developers a big thanks from Seattle/Tacoma Washington! Great work and because of this sort of community and tinkering I will never own an iPhone. It makes having the phone that much more fun =)

Excellent Rom.Thirded
To all the developers - great job creating roms, recoverys, themes, etc.
Mainly Haykuro, Jac, db.hates.you., JesusFreke, Drizzy Drake Rogers, Cyanogen, and android.
Good Luck to all of them and keep the updates coming
I have to agree as well. The latest build is working great even on my class 2 memory card. A bit of lag never hurt anyone. The devs have been working tirelessly to give us a build that it stable enough for day-to-day use. I'm sure they still have a few tricks up their sleeves and can't wait to see what's coming down the pipeline.
Big bang!!
Fo sho you devs get a BIG BOOM!!! from you guys knocked it out the park w/ the progress of this ROM kudos to you jac, drizz, cyrowski, db and any one i didnt mention thanks a million!!
also a big thanks from me, been running jachero since version 1, and it has progressed very far
Thanks for all the work of all the great ROM builders, you are all awesome!!
This Thread should've been made a while ago!! Great Job Guys.
Yes...Much Thanks and Praise for well done Roms.
I keeps me from abandoning ship!
I want to put in my thanks for the community, Justanothercrowd"wonderful dev and friend", dbhatesyou, haykuro, barikflorida, chrisag92"crime partner lol", johnnylicios"great friend", and especially To all the supporters "you have all lived your Dream... now its time to become a real HERO" which means you are all gonna get what you want and that is a full functioning Hero for your Dream!
We Promise!....will take some time of course
I would like to also thank all of the DEV. On making my Dream into a HERO lol
wanted to say THANX to all of the great, dedicated work... its been daily updates.. i make themes, havent in awhile but when i did it was hard working alone to put out as many updates as you all have
JAC, been reading ur twitter bak n forth to twisted.. funny **** on there, but glad to see everyone working on the same team instead of competing.
you should be rewarded more so, i say by htc or google, for your accomplishments.. why not add the mods of their phone to their team?

White and I are dying to play with a new phone. We'll give it all we've got
(by the way, this was jface's idea, white & I didn't know he was doing this, thanks jface)
I will be 110% committed to development on the G2X. First order will be a multitude of lockscreens for everyone to choose from. Roman has been developing all kinds of status bar tweaks and such which can be viewed here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1123830.
Since the G2X is aosp based we will be able to do so much more with it. That and that fact that Roman is a java master. Needless to say, I dont think anyone will be disappointed.
BTW - thanks jumaan for getting this going.

Good to hear you guys are interested. I looked at some of your work and was very impressed. I donated a bit...will do more next week (after payday).
A note to everyone complaining about a perceived lack of development...devs can't afford to purchase every new device that they are willing to support (working for free). If you want more development, support it. Skip the morning Starbuck's and give a couple bucks...just my two cents.
just donated to both of you
hope you guys get the phone!
but while your waiting i have sgs4g favor to ask hehe
anyway you guys can deodex the GB rom with root inside please
i rooted the rom just cant get it to deodex

This is a thread for thanks to those who've shared their time and work with this community. I'd like to take this moment to name some names and say "thank you" for making my Android and Thunderbolt experience better. First, I'd like to thank Chingyo51 for his ROMs. They've been my daily driver for about 2 years starting with incredibly re-engineered. I'd also like to extend thanks to Ziggy471 for his work on the Android kernels. Much thanks to Imoseyon and Nerozehl for their work on the gingerbread kernel, and to TwistedUmbrella for making script management of the kernel features idiot-proof. I'd like to thank Team BAMF for their development which has produced tools and dividends for other devs. I'd specifically like to thank jcase and adrynalyn for the hard work they've done in rooting this device and chasing down the issues with random bricking pre-MR2. I appreciate what all of you have done and you have my respect and gratitude.
This should be a place of respect and gratitude. If you'd like to publicly thank your favorite dev, please do so! I don't see any reason this shouldn't be one of the longest threads in this forum!
However I like the idea of having a haven of nice posts and friendly people, but why do you think we have the "Thanks" button?

Very well said loonatic. My ThunderBolt has become a new hobby of mine and I have the devs to thank. I've done my best not to clog up any threads with "thanks downloading now! "
I am concerned tho with how things have been here these past few weeks. All the negativity, flaming, devs leaving. Maybe some people shouldn't take all this stuff so seriously. For me this is just a hobby..... somethin to do for fun.
Again loonatic very well said and thanks to all the devs for making my phone awesome. Not sure if you mentioned DROIDTH3ORY or LIQUID they have been doing some really great work also and seem to be the most active on XDA lately.
Sent from my HTC ThunderBolt using XDA Premium App
Indeed the "thanks"button is good, but its not the more powerful statement saying it in your own words can be. Most of us know how things have been around here and I'd just like to add some positivity. If my friend were to cook me up something like A custom ROM, I'd be thankful as hell and I would be talking about it. I'd like to think of these guys on here as friends, just the same. I don't want foul opinions or negativity on this thread. I've noticed there's plenty of other threads for that.
I do like DroidTh3ory's work. I like his thoughts on how a ROM should be set up. I tried and earlier release and ill have to go back and try a newer one. Definitely good work and a valuable contributor! Thank you for pointing that out!
Nicely stated guys. I'd just like to thank all devs out there who put their efforts into making our tbolt experience a more enjoyable. Obviously, I cannot try everything out there, but I certainly appreciate that all of them take their personal time to do these things for us!
Thank you all.
Sent from my rooted HTC Thunderbolt.
Thanks to droidth3ory and xpack90. The've been awesome.
I have been a viewer of this site for quite some time and you Devs have took my sgs4g from a random rebooting piece of poop to a bad ass high end smart phone. Iv been here since the bionix frost was dropped by team whisky and have loved all the team acid roms since. You guys obviously have amazing coding skill and are making this a user made device, And i mean you all not just team acid, M4xM4n, Erikmm, Raver, Whitehawk, Krylon, AntonX, Hampsterblade, Thomas raines, Bhundven (Pretty skilled guy there), And many more, your all beating samsungs definition of the sgs4g. But theres a problem it seems when things get hard some of you get overwhelmed, Stay true to the goals please ignore the rest. Not pointing fingers but there are a few devs who have bailed out in the past and came back or didnt at all. i know these noobs who come in are absolutly rediculous and stuiply annoying but please just ignore them. And when it come to conflicts between you all like when the airfuip and team nerd thing happend, Just remeber at one point this section was flourishing and everyone got along thats when we had alot or roms come out, We all love this phone and wanna see you do great things to it, and you guys love either the attention, or the coding because i know M4xM4x and thomas rains, have both said they work more when there not posting every little fix and patch. They give more time to the rom and less to us for a reason users so stop the flaming crap and devs you keep doing what you do. BTW it would be great to have a working CM7 by the end of the week...
Just kidding lol
good 1
+1 on this. I just purchased one to replace a lost SGS 4G, so I will be lurking and patiently waiting for some more excellent roms.
kcb
I wish everyone supported what you say. I still have the exact same relation with team acid. Only bhundven seems to get along with me. I how they realize that I am a good person, and I have tried to fix the mistakes.

It isn't every day that a dev comes along who's as kind, considerate, and helpful as iB4STiD. For years, he's given to the community and put up with verbal abuse from trolls in a gracious manner. If he's going out, let's at least share some appreciation for him. Much love, iB! Thank you for your time and efforts!

You will be missed man.
I'm running Goldfinger on my S4. Really great rom. I just wish some people wouldn't complain about a rom that someone put a lot of time and effort into. I can think of a couple people who need to just quit acting like they know everything when they clearly don't.
Good luck iB4STiD!! Appreciate your contribution to the community. There are plenty of reasons for anyone come and go but what matters finally is how much values one could add. Good job.
I don't have permission to post in the developer section (for good reason) but I enjoy his ROMs very much.
Thank you. Currently running Goldeneye ☺
We already talked and said bye iB, but I feel like saying bye once more. We won't have another developer like you around here maybe. You were the best developer of any device I've seen ever. There were a lot of devs I've seen for many different Android devices, but, you by far, are the best one I've seen yet. I hope you figure everything out and stuff. (We've already talked about this privately, but, as I said before in this post, you are the best developer to me.)

Nuts. Out of the loop on what's going on, but it's sad to hear. Since getting my S4, his ROMs were the only ones I would run. I guess it's finally time to pull the trigger on that Nexus 6.
What did I miss!

Hate to see you go.
EDIT: Found out your moving on to bigger and better things. YAY for you! When you feel bored and nostalgic...just knock out another outstanding ROM for us s4/5 users. Good man!
I've used a few different ROMs of his, and I've enjoyed them all. Not only is he a great developer, but he responds kindly feedback and requests and replies thoughtfully to requests for help from users.
Thanks, iB4STiD!
