Should also put heavy internet/xda use and music use
6 hours screen on time, plus heavy internet use and 12 hours? Dang. I'm jealous!
If I'm on WiFi all day that's pretty normal.

Hi i intend to buy a htc one xl so what are your opinions on this phone?
And does this phone have wifi death grip issues

I get give or take 12 hours of battery off my phone on a average day.
I found that I got better battery life once I switched ROMs.

Great phone, no WiFi death grip issues. Wrong topic for this discussion though.

I got the One X, and so far I've been on the battery for 12 hours. It started at 99%, and after some internet radio (30-45 Min), facebook, and lots of WiFi usage I'm down to 34%...
I'm running stock too...

Hey guys, I've recently bought a AT&T HTC One X. This is my first smartphone, and it is fully stocked, locked bootloader and no root, android 4.0.4 and software version 2.20.502.7, really like the phone. However, I am not really impressed with the battery life. I would usually charge it over night for around 8 hours, take it off in the morning at around 08:00, take it to school, casually check facebook/gmail, maybe watch one or two videos and by the time I get home at around 15:30, the battery would be at around 15%. I was wondering whether this is normal and if there is any point of my rooting the device and flashing any custom roms?
I have disabled all the AT&T bloatware, decreased my screen brightness to around 25%, no live wallpapers, disabled auto syncing, wifi and mobile data mobile switched on only when I use it, only have a weather/clock widget and a couple of games. So I have been researching about rooting and customer roms for about a month now, and found out that some members have amazing battery life times with Cleanroms and custom kernels, so I was wondering whether the latest 5.1 Cleanrom with a Beastmode kernel 4.4 would cause any damage to my phone and whether any of you guys are using it?
Thanks for your time!

Depends on your screen on time ! .. If you were using your phone for 4+ hours and got 35% its pretty good! .

On screen time would involve you having your phone on o.o if you got 6 hours of on screen time with a quad processor running and still have 35% left that's amazing battery life .. Maybe try saving your battery by cutting down on brightness and stuff that eats power

Hello guys

I have galaxy s2 plus GT-I9105 and i've just upgraded to JB 4.2.2, but the device heat when charging or when using wifi and after 100% charging i got about 70% in 2 hours is it normal ?
please help
thank you
Android version: 4.2.2
Baseband version: I9105XXUBMH2
Kernel version: 3.0.31-1356917
Normal. Don't need to worry too much. It's fine

you have a smartphone man, its normal
yes, when you use wifi for 2 hours then 70% of battery is normal
You can expand battery life bit by disabling Google location services and GPS when you don't need them.
As said above your battery seems acting normal.
I have the same problem with mine...

Sorry, but getting hot when using wifi is NOT a regular occurance just because it's a smartphone! If the device gets hot it's because something keeps the soc running on max speed (thus keeping it busy). normal Wifi usage should not cause heating up.
I updated 48 hours ago.
Horrible battery.
I used to charge about twice in 3 days.
Usually my battery lasts a day and half.
Now It does not last more than 10 hours.
I had 50% left when I sleep and 5% when I wake up.
Bluetooth took 36% batter. Usually my screen use to eat battery.
Will see few more charge cycle before I go back to 4.1

Where do you find 4.1? My phone came with 4.2.2
Sent from my LG-D801 using Tapatalk
I meant 4.2.2
That's odd. First charge screen was on for 6.5 hours. second 7 hours. Kit Kat seems fine to me
My first charge on 4.2.2 was about 18 hours
I just got my G2 a few days ago and updated it to kit kat via LG pc suite. So far I have no problems it, fast and smooth.

For anyone that's having battery issues, try uninstalling Facebook and disabling Google now. Watch you WakeLocks for a day and see if its properly deep sleeping now.

Have you tried a factory reset? Maybe there's some app in background draining your battery.
With lollipop you get around 20% less battery life, but still you can make up to 6 hours of screen on time on wifi and 4.30 on 3G
