[Q] htc dna will not go to recovery - General Questions and Answers

I flashed a new rom on my DNA. When i rebooted it is stuck on boot screen. I can boot in to bootloader and it still shows s-off but when i try to take it to recovery or even factory reset it attempts to go to recovery (cwm 6.0.4.5 touch) then just goes back to white screen. Can i use adb to fix it? I dont have a pc. I have an android tablet. Is there any way i can fix it with what i have? Or am i gonna have to use a windows pc and adb?

[Q] D2 Can't access Recovery OR Boot.

Hi.
I accidentally flashed a X ROM to my D2 and when I couldn't get it to boot past the Eye Animation nor could I access recovery, I tried using RSD and Linux automated CD to fix my phone.
But nothing, a loop between the DROID and RED EYE Animation. Problem is I can't access any kind of recovery at boot up so I can wipe the Data/Cache. Only thing I can do is Access the Boot loader to flash via USB.
*UPDATE: This is not my phone, but this is exactly what mine is doing ... wn.com/DROID_2_reboot_loop
Have I killed my phone once and for all? :'(

Bricked HTC One S Bootloop into Clockwork Recovery. Cant go into hboot or anything.

So I rooted my phone and installed Clockwork Recovery. I tried installing a new rom and ended up bricked into it, the phone wouldn't boot in and would get stuck on the boot animation. So i tried re-locking the boot loader and flashing back to ruuu, it would not work and give me error messages. I tried to fast boot recovery but that failed to. Also in clockwork recovery my sd card can't be mounted. I tried a few other things and now my phone is stuck in clockwork recovery. I can't go back into hboot and cant booth the phone either. Every time I power it off then back on it goes back into clockwork and I cant do anything there since it cant mount the sd card. Please help.

Desire S Stuck on HTC logo, bootloader stuck as well.

Hi everyone
I have a desire S that gets stuck on the HTC logo in startup and won't boot.
When i try to get to the bootloader- it works, but if i try to do anything, it just gets stuck.
Trying to get to recovery- it turns off and vibrates 7 times.
I try to do a factory reset- the moment i press the power button it gets stuck and won't respond
Same for everything else.
Anyone knows what can i do with this?
The device is unrooted, but S-off.
Did you even look before you made this thread? The most recent thread was from a user with what sounds like the same problem as you. Here's the link:

Sent from my Desire S using xda app-developers app
Yes, i looked. a LOT.
This is not the same problem at all- he can get to recovery properly and do a factory reset, while i can't.
Well, perhaps you have done already, some things i 'll mention but..
Simpliest:
1. Remove battery and wait at least a minute before putting it back
( preferably switch the phone off- if you can )
2. Boot it again, connect to pc, check whether fastboot sees your device...
( you said you're not able to boot the system on it- so no ADB )
Try to reboot via fastboot issuing command
fastboot reboot
In case it didn't work
1.flash recovery again ( clockworkmod or 4ext )
and see what happens-when you'll have succeded,
try again to get to recovery from bootloader,
Optional:
when you get there , flash superuser zip
( If you'll still not be able to boot in to system , you may attempt to flash
some other rom- as .zip via recovery )
2. May also attempt to restore factory image on the phone ( RUU )
which proceeds from fastboot...
If all the above fails, there is an article you may be interested in reading,
that hopefully is not your case but....your call

Edit: if it is unrooted, it may even still have stock recovery -
nothing you may easily interact with, on the level given by custom...

Unable to boot into recovery (cold boot) Motorola Moto G 4G

Hi all,
I have successfully rooted and installed CM12 on my Motorola Moto G 4G. I was unable to get into recovery so I download ROM manager to boot into recovery and thats how I installed CM12.
CM12 is stuck in a boot loop so I want to install CM11 or go back to Stock but I cannot get into recovery now. If I boot up with power and vol down I am taken to a fastboot screen which has an option to goto recovery (second option down) but this simply boots back into the device.
I was using CMW but I installed TWRP and now this simply takes me to a blank screen (or it could be powered off).
Can anybody advise how I can boot into recovery? (I am still able to use fastboot commands).
Thanks!
Just find a working recovery image and flash it (TWRP 2.7.1 works for me), also make sure you are using the right controls in the fastboot menu, they're tricky
Use fastboot to reflash recovery. After a successful flash, use the button combo on the fastboot screen to boot into recovery.

Phone broken?

My phone keeps restarting. Black screen -> Warning bootloader unlocked -> Black screen... etc. I also cannot access the recovery, gives me a black screen only.
Is the phone broken, or is there something that can be done?
What phone do you have? What caused this to happen?
XT1032
Installed PhilZ Advanced Recovery. Made a backup, rebooted devices, and stuck in this bootloop. When enter Bootloader to get to recovery, all i get is a black screen.
Can't even shut the phone off, because it keeps restarting.
Flash Philz again but don't reboot the phone. When Philz flashes successfully, use the phone's volume buttons to go to recovery from fastboot.
The problem here is i cannot get the phone to show up as an attached device, unless i do it "manually" where i reboot into bootloader from the standard android/phone interface.
You need to be in fastboot mode on the phone to flash Philz. Re-booting to bootloader from Android is fine.
After a little tweaking and some work, I managed to get it working.
Thank you for your help.
