bought a used xt925.
How do I check if my bootloader is unlocked? Is there any way to unlock this device without going through Motorola?

You can check in the AP Fastboot screen. It will say unlocked if the BL is unlocked. You can try the UL exploit, as this is a 925, but I'm not sure it would work. Why not go through Moto?

The most obvious way to know if it's unlocked is whether the phone shows a "Bootloader Unlocked" warning on boot. If that's not shown, @RikRong told the way -- AP Fastboot.

It's impossible to unlock...
Is it simlocked? If it's simlocked to some network you are unable to unlock the bootloader. If you unlock the phone, you will be able to unlock the bootloader

I had several phones that were sim locked and I was unable to unlock the bootloader. After sim unlocking them I was able to unlock the bootloader. The same goes for the Xperia M2, it was locked on T-Mobile MK, after unlocking the phone I was able to unlock the bootloader.

So, I assume that if I flash a debranded firmware from Xperia M2 (My cellphone can't unlock Bootloader about the "[x]Newtork 10" is locked in SimLock) may unlock the bootloader without any troubles? Is that so? Or I'm mistaken?
If I'm correct, that'd be amazing, I'd like use other ways to personalize my phone but I can't 'cause of the stupid Bootloader xDD.
Thanks!

Debranding basically removes all the bloatware that slow your phone down. You can't sim unlock with debranding, only with special code provided by some other sim unlock sites/ebay

Exactly that. Try to enter it correctly because there is a limit on how many times you can enter to network unlock code. If it doesn't work on KitKat, downgrade it to 4.3 and enter the code. I had similar problem where I was unable to unlock on KK but on 4.3 worked fine.

Well, about that, I have a "plan", or, better said, a contract between the carrier and the cellphone, so, I must wait for two days to complete the "legal" contract. So, after that, I guess that I can unlock the device and then, unlock bootloader.
Thanks for everything!
I have the unlocked us variant of the A9 and want to root it. Since its unlocked does that mean the bootloader is unlocked or do I still need to do that?

That means you're sim unlocked meaning you can use any gsm network I believe. To unlock the bootloader, use htcs dev program. To s-off, use sunshine after unlocking the bootloader and rooting. There is a thread for rooting this device and inside such thread are links to htcs dev program/bootloader unlock. Hope this helps!

That is true but doesn't the devices bootloader come locked? Because that's what I was getting at.
Hello
I recently unlocked the bootloader and rooted my F8332 xperia. Everything is/was going fine. But today when I checked the status of my bootloader in the service info menu. It said "Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes" rather then "Bootloader unlocked :Yes" like it should. It's odd because i still have TWRP and AndroPlus. Also my phone still provides the "This device is unlocked" warning screen when i boot my phone.
Is this something I should be concerned with, or should i continue using my phone assuming it's unlocked?
Thank you

As far as Osprey/Merlin goes, I believe all of them can be. You can make an account over at Motorola's developer website, and enter the phone info they ask for after logging in. If it can be unlocked, they will tell you and gladly send you the unlock key and instructions if you agree to their conditions. Just Google "Motorola bootloader unlock" you'll find what you're after.

Probably nothing you can do, there is no other way to unlock the bootloader.
There is a chance that the unlock site isn't working, and is giving a false " not eligible" message it happens.
if that's the case you just will have to keep trying the site.
Which CID does the device have?
Code:
fastboot getvar cid

I have a cid that is ineligible, 0x0002, originally I didn't want to admit that it was impossible since it seems silly for motorola to control the phone that I own, but when I read up about the cid, yeah, it won't work, thanks for replying to me though!
Does this mean Stylus 2020's bootloader are unable to unlocked now?

0x0002 is the Verizon Cid, Verizon doesn't want the bootloader unlocked.
Verizon branded devices are rarely able to be unlocked, same for At&T.
