I recently returned from Japan with a smart phone. It is a Kyocera Digno S (model KYL21) and my service provider was KDDI au. When I cancelled my plan with au I asked if they could unlock my phone but they had no idea what I was talking about. Now that I am back in the US I want to use my phone with a local service provider.
Are there any companies or services in the US that can unlock a phone? Or better yet, is there anything I can do to find my phone's unlock code?

i live in egypt , while my father works in china, he recently purchased me an off contract xperia z3 sol 26 from a chinese website and had it delivered , while not knowing it might be locked or not......eventually i got curious because of the au branding on the case , and after inserting a couple sim card i came to the conclusion it its locked
my question is: is there a way out of this?, or do i throw the phone away as i need it in egypt not freaking japan:crying:
i need it to work with mobinil egypt sim card, and it would be depressing if i have to give up on that phone

Hi everyone! I buy phone in USA but i live in another country. How can i unlock the phone from Verizon operator? I knew that phone must be live in usa 60 days for unlocking but maybe have another version to unlock?
