Does anyone know how i can write a script for the app "SMS Backup and Restore" so it can backup my texts/conversation threads daily? or perhaps there's another app/script out there that can accomplish this?

I've got a problem with my phone.
I'm not sure it is ROM related, but, I have VilainROM 1.1, and this kernel : CF-Root v3.7 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399)
I restored my SMS/MMS with My Backup PRO, and now, I'm unable to delete totaly the thread of messages... It remains always an empty message that I cannot delete.
Those messages are dated on the 01/01/1970 @ 1h00
So, How can I delete those messages without wiping the phone and not restoring the SMS ??

Finaly, it was restored MMS that caused the problem !!
If I don't restore MMS, no ghost messages...
So, what application do you use to save and restore MMS ?

THx, I had the same problem after restoring sms/mms with MyBackup.
I just tried to backup sms/mms right now --> delete all threads --> restore only sms, without mms = WORKS. Now I can delete sms without leavin empty thread.
I always used MyBackup and I never had any problems, but maybe its time to change backup habbits

I try few days ago, Titanium Backup Pro, when I change from Litening Rom to VilainRom. And you know what ??
Backup / restore SMS AND MMS works
Without leaving empty threads when deleting one !!
So Exit MyBabkup Pro for me...
I just be sad to have bought it...

I've uninstalled the apps that I downloaded for backup purposes.

Hi I recently flashed a rom and forgot to do a backup of my SMS and now the only place my SMS is, is the google voice app. So If anybody knows like how to transfer it to the mms app please tell me.
I am running hellybean 4-7-13 build
I have a Nexus s 4g and rooted,unlocked boot loader

If I'm understanding u correct, you want to transfer stuff from GV to your SMS app on your phone, right?
As far as I know... It can't be done.
SMS backup+ is another good backup which can restore your SMS & MMS back to your phone. It is also a Google system backup.
Maybe research to see if you can transfer GV to "SMS backup+"... then that can go to your phone...

Did you make a nandroid backup in CWM/TWRP before flashing the new rom? If you did, I would recommend the following:
1) make a new nandroid backup of your current rom
2) restore the previous nandroid (the one from before you flashed the newest rom) this nandroid should restore everything, including your sms/mms
3) make a backup of your sms/mms with titanium or whatever app you like to use
4) restore the newest nandroid (the one you made in step 1)
5) restore your sms/mms with titanium or what-have-you
An even easier way would be to use App Extractor or a similar app to pull the sms files from your old nandroid backup, but I thought I'd include the full process just in case App Extractor isn't a viable option for you.
Need some help figuring out how to restore my msg backup file
Just did a fresh install of CM 11 and made a backup zip of all my msgs using the GO SMS backup feature
But now when i try and restore says it can't find the zip file
Can someone tell me where Go SMS stores its msgs so i can try and manually restore them ?

Your GoSMS backup message files should probably be on your SD card or within your Main Storage files in GOSMS > backup > localbr. Please check your device for the GoSMS folder. The app's backup feature usually stores sms' in there.

I figured that out already by making another backup and seeing where the program stored it

Hi, rooted my phone for the first time in years.
I'm starting to require my old Call Log (numbers) and SMS (msg). Will use Titanium Backup pro from here on out.
Made a full Backup with TWRP and I like to recover or extract the call log only. Anyone got any suggests short of restoring the entire ROM?
