Hello! You are right that bootloader does not look like the correct info, i believe it belongs to a galaxy note 2 with a quick google search, now since its running whatever boot-loader that is, are you sure this is a 100% real galaxy s4 and not fake? if you are 100% sure it is, go here Sammobile.com (to download firmware you have to create a account i know its stupid) once thats done go to firmware at the very top, about in the middle of the page where it says "Search device here" type in your model number (make sure you have the right model number, take the battery out of the phone and read what it says where the battery is supposed to go, its a international model right?) now a bunch of places will show up, find the correct place where you are living currently, here are the instructions on how to put this stock firmware (and hopefully giving you the right bootloader) on your phone: WARNING this will factory reset your phone basically (be careful with custom roms you can too but you can backup your stock rom first) so back up everything you need on your phone because its all being deleted:
Instructions
Extract (unzip) the firmware file
Download Odin v3.09 https://mega.co.nz/#!UdRRyCAT!H4FyVxYynNWvXqRNmnpMGQRCP-dG3uykgP2pT4rh8Ek
Extract Odin zip-file
Open Odin v3.09
Reboot phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
Add the firmware file to AP / PDA
Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
Click the start button, sit back and wait a few minutes
once thats done you should be on the Correct bootloader and be able to root/ install custom recovery on your phone for that custom rom you wanted. good luck! if you have any questions please reply back! dont be afraid to ask!

so you are able to boot? if so i would grab a app like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.antutu.ABenchMark and run the tests to see if you have the same hardware a Galaxy s4 is supposed to have,

i want to know right model to download right frimware
very simple, go to settings, and scroll down to where it says about phone or info or something, then click software info, and you can find everything there. it is probably i9505.

yes but in odin mode show sph-720t not gt-i9505
-
ok your firmware is sprint, what Odin showing is the correct one, search for cwm for sph-720t.
DO NOT FLASH ROM VIA ODIN, flash new cwm or twrp recovery, then flash new rom through recovery. your firmware is most likely sph-720t which is sprint

i think is unlock because any sim card work and i leave in algeria not in us
your phone might not be original, because if you bought it in Algeria it should be the international version, basically i think it is the sprint version, if Odin says so, you should look for your sprint firmware, but also for android 5.0.1

I bought a o2 s7 but have a three sim. its now unlocked but was thinking of flashing the three firmware so I can get things like wifi calling and access to 4g 800mhz. Is this as simple of downloading the three rom and flashing with odin or will this cause warranty problems? (not done any rom flashing since my s2 so I'm quite rusty)

Hi
As long as you flash a stock firmware (odin) there will not be any warranty problem , no warranty bit will be set

Just a quick q. if and when Vodafone firmware for this device supports wifi calling, will i be able to flash voda firmware.
i ask because i tried to flash voda firmware on my s7 edge via odin and got a bootloop and had to flash BTU firmware in download mode which wiped my phone.
cant be asked to keep resetting my phone all the time

You CAN flash the VOD-firmware, but your CSC will change to the "default"-CSC of the "Multi-CSC OVF" -> VD2
You must use the AP-BL-CP & CSC_OVF of the VOD-package -> it will reset your device (which is necessary)!
Anyone who owns G930F and didn't have VoLTE or WiFi calling enabled on Nougat firmware BUT managed to get it working afterdoing "x" please share how to do it.
I'm tired of waiting for my Network to release the firmware...
Step by step guide would be welcome
My service provider supports both techs.

Of course they do! :good:
Basically just want to know what would happen if I flashed carrier branded csc only with Odin.
E.g. would my phone refuse to boot, would my phone be carrier branded if it succesfully boots, trip Knox, etc...
Any info welcome - tired of googling the answers or searching XDA forum for answers.

Might have some carrier preinstalled crap but it won't trip KNOX nor prevent the phone from booting

That answered some of my questions, thanks.
Please see screenshot for my mutiCSC firmware. I am running Android 7 but haven't changed CSC since I got the phone in December 2016. I got it with Marshmallow on it. Everytime I upgrade firmware with Odin I select Home CSC so my CSC never changes.
Since the solution is in the CSC (afaik), which CSC do you recommend I flash with Odin? I understand how to flash with Odin if CSC not in my multiCSC firmware (tick re-partition, etc...)
My home network is Vodafone (CSC is XVF which is not part of my CSC).

If i got it right you are not root, right? if you are root there are other ways....
Yes you need the right CSC to make it work , in this case Vodafone XFV.
When you change to a different CSC is recommended to check re partition to adjust to the possible change in partitions
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s7/SM-G930F/XFV/download/G930FXXU1DQD2/131635/
Download the firmware and extract the correct CSC from it , if you do not want all the vodafone stuff you could download and unbranded firmware and use the BL ,CP , AP from it and the CSC (XFV) from Vodafone and flash it all together
BACK UP FIRST .......

Yes, no root (for now). Will only root in a year when I get my upgrade on my contract.
Thanks, you basically confirmed what I suspected. Just needed a Jedi to point that out so I have peace of mind. I shall report back... :highfive: :good:
