yes.but not for all mobiles.like some have multiboot they can boot to android or windows.
main problem is hardware support (processor).such device must have 2 roms for windows and android.
we can also partition 1 rom for 2 os.but need huge memory to install each rom and apps.
such mobile are able to install windows.
Hi guys
As other phone have got Dual boot option!our phone need to have too!
So we need to make a kernel with ability to boot from SD card and some seperated partitions or places for data & cache !

I think, we've got a lot of stable rims, like all 2.3.3-2.3.6 and 4.0-4.1 are also very funktional...

We have one thread - dead in fact, but still exsisting, of dual-boot. Search it and try to port
we don't have a working, stable 3.0.x , so why would we hurry ? 9001 earned a "slow but steady" developing motto and it deserves it.

dual boot means that when you boot your phone you can choose between two roms , as example cm10 and stock its very usefull when you would test a new rom or a beta/alpha

That is when u have two roms installed and u can switch between them by just rebooting and choosing which one u want to boot.Thats like having windows and ubuntu installed on same pc.
I said init.rc, not init.d huge difference ^^
for example, from boot2gecko dual boot init.rc:
(on the very top)
Code:
on early-init
start ueventd
import /init.b2g.rc
then at about the bottom
Code:
service checktype /check-sysimage.sh
class core
oneshot
Which triggers check-sysimage.sh:
Code:
#!/sbin/sh
if [ -d /system/b2g ]; then
setprop sysimg.gonk 1
else
setprop sysimg.android 1
fi
Then back to init.rc (the bottom)
Code:
on property:sysimg.android=1
start servicemanager-a
start zygote
start surfaceflinger
on property:sysimg.gonk=1
start servicemanager-g
class_start b2g
that is all, imaging having 2 init files, one for samsung roms, and the other one for aosp, then it reads in build.prop what kind of rom it is (it has to be defined!) and chooses the right init file. done
maybe bood other os
So please make it as a ZIP or an change in Kernel!

BLACK SCREEN. however shows up when connected in recovery mode to usb after typing "adb devices" as "A111 recovery". "adb reboot" command works as well however it takes some time.
i got this far with my port as well.
keep on trying. also im sure most of the people here feel that the main drawback of this phone is that it lacks in RAM. If your good with kernels i wonder if you could provide swap or zram support instead. i think that it would be easier.
best of luck.

Yes, you can, but it don't necessarily mean that you'll fix the bugs, it depends on the rom you'll install.
Rooting your device will allow you to have privilege access to your system so you can change whatever you want and run some apps. Installing a rom is like installing other OS, deppending on the rom you'll notice some differences to stock.
