[Q] Wifi dont work in KitKat

hi, i put kitakat speedmod in my ace plus s7500 yesterday, and when i try turn on the wireless i can't.. i just click on icon and it dont turn on.. what i need to do?

Try to re-download and re flash the rom. check if it's build 2.2 !

It's just not working.. Same happening with usb tethering. Both of them keep turning on and off
Can you please tell which files are responsible for usb tethering and wifi hotspot. Both of them were working in your 1st build.
So I was thinking of replacing files from your 1st build. Rest the ROM is working fine.

Both of those are broken right now as this is test build just to see if camera is working. And why you didn't you say were talking about WiFi hotspot that would get you answer right away.

2)Are you running buld 2.2 ?
Then
Your problem is WiFi Hotspost or WiFi

Yes, I am on build 2.2
Wifi is working
Wifi-hotspot not working
USB Tethering not working
Are these problem with just me or anyone else too facing them??

Everybody has them as they are broken in 2.2

They will be fixed as 2.2 was just a test for camera, so some things got broken.

ummm there is a fix on speedmod thead for autofocus but for video that is still a bug

[help] wifi never turns on [xt1033]

Hey guys i own a XT1033 and had converted it to gpe a few months back. I switched to xt1033 stock now and wifi doesnt work on stock/cm11/cm based or anyother added kernel on stock. It only works on srisurya's stock zip and also i tried gpe again but wifi doesnt work. Anyone please help me on this.

Try manually writing ip address
Or try flashing stock modules on stock kernel from here

But may be I have stopped use custom roms because all of them is too feature containing so I can't find time to adjust it to my preferences.
I'm lazy for custom roms...
But I can try your Roms when they will support one-sim moto g)

planning to build cm bro thatz why had to sort this thing out! will start compiling after october 10. exams till then! thanks a ton anyway! will be building cm with my own device tree and lesser features only cm features

I install a custom rom through cwm recovery. After finish installing I notice that I can't turn on wifi. in wifi advance option there is no mac address. Now what should i do?

i first installed cm12 wifi was working perfectly but after a day i flashed thunderzap 4.13 and now the wifi isnt working

Hello one big problem with the nexus 5 is the WiFi stops working after flashing a custom ROM or a custom kernel for me it stopped working after flashing a custom kernel and took me sometime to fix it now I don't want this to be an major issue to anyone else like it was for me so flash this zip that will fix the WiFi with an custom kernel or custom ROM now i'm not sure if it will fix it for developers that did not fix the WiFi driver for their ROMs so be careful as it may brick the ROM and you have to re flash it.

Okay! I never checked out any name like that

For me it's showing "Turning on Wifi" always.
Same with Bluetooth.

My WiFi and hotspot not working, it shows error... what to do??

I had the same issue with another phone. You probably flashed the kernel for wrong Android version. Check out the thread again.
