HTC Sensation XE new Rom Update

ive got my new rom update today with my stock htc sensation xe. 1.77.720.103
i dont know whats new in this firmware.. anyone got the firmware? is this compatible for rooting?

Android Version : 2.3.4
Sense 3.0
Software number: 1.77.720.103
Kernel Veriosn: 2.6.35.13-gbf669cc
Baseband Version: 10.58.9035.00U_10.15.9035.02_2
Build number 1.77.720.103 CL239628
Browser version: webkit/533.1

did u get the update over the air (OTA), did the update come some other way? or did the phone come that way?
are you sure that its 2.3.4
are you able to go into recovery and find out what version your hboot is?
hboot is the main issue with rooting I think.
someone help me out with this cause im probably missing a lot

Have u tried InsertCoin?
Im using 4.3.1 now... quite stable!

my HBOOT version is 1.18.0000 and icant root it using revolutionary, "failed to get root"
whats the solution for this? i tried more than 10 times..
ive got the update thru over the air.. and its android = 2.3.4

Regarding which ROM to choose for ICS I find RCMix robbery pretty good and stable.

My XE is also HBoot 1.18.0000 and i got S-OFF with Revolutionary with no problems.
Did you follow the guide?

Not to post jack... But I think what this person needs and I need is info about the new update. will it allow root still.
I just cant seem to figure out what he is really saying.
has anyone seen a new good, working guied for updating your rooted phone?

yes i follow the guide. Im using windows xp. I dont know if htc patched the new firmware to revolutionary. It say failed to get root.

I have this exact version. I'v updated and now
can't root so DO NOT update...

so its confirmed that it cant root to this latest firmware.. anyone tried to use htcsupertool v3 with this firmware? try htcsupertool if it can root..

i bought mine about 2 weeks back...revolutionary is not detecting it..
can someone please tell me how to find out about hboot? im a noob with respect to htc, so i'd appreciate some help

finally have a root on 1.77.720.103

2. revolutionary now works ! (start it regullarly)

I'm using it currently.However,it seems to be slower than previous builds like 1.73.708.4

[Q] Htc Hd7 rom installing question

My hd7 has a 7.5 WP version and i have a 5.xx bootloader version i want to downgrade my bootloader in order to flash a custom rom and i have a firmware version that ends with 707 so can i flash the rom founded on this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1028398 to downgrade my bootloader version

[Q] Europe stock RUU for HTC M8Sw (China Unicom)

Hi, I would like to replace the stock RUU on my HTC one M8Sw by a WWE stock RUU.
Custom ROM are not suitable as I need to have access to OTA and to use Worx home (for work emails)
My phone has currently:
- Bootloader unlocked
- TWRP
- Rooted
- S-off
I understand that I'd have to change the CID to match the new rom.
Is there such rom available? if so, is there a listing somewhere?

Have you found any such ROM yet?

Not available yet Europe WWE rom for E8 but you can try Asia WWE rom from India E8 rom.

Yes, I've came across your post but what would be the advantage over the UniCom ROM?
Have they NOT got all the bloatware in the ROM or what?
I am using the M8 DualSIM port but one of the reasons - apart form being dual SIM - I've upgraded from M7 is the camera and with the ported ROM the original camera app does not work with high resolution and Google Camera has somewhat reduced usability.
Also - according to your post - the India version seems to be an M8sS version instead M8sW? Has that any affect?

Indian rom is WWE Asia with dual Sim. This rom have multi Sim menu. Currently we don't have RUU yet for India rom so only by using TWRP Backup we can install Asia WWE rom with dual Sim menu on Unicom phone. Free from bloatware and you got great camera apps.
Since this only TWRP Backup, nothing change on firmware mean that phone firmware use your original Unicom.
If any OTA coming to be safe don't install it. Better ask other user to make another clean TWRP Backup and flash again on your phone.
This will reduce hard brick due to incompatibility between Unicom firmware and India firmware.

I need to know if this update shows asversion 3.3.3 in HTC's Preferences->About-Software infp. Right now I have 4.4.2 but want to install either CM 11 unofficial or CM 12 Officiel, if I may I want to ask you=.which Rom Would you recommend, based on 4.4.2 and Rge 4.4.4 if this is what the update 1.50.201.1 gives me?

I suppose you're talking about the HTC Sensation.
1.50.401.1 = Android 2.3.4
3.33.401.1 = Android 4.0.3
Or HTC Desire 510
1.50.401.1 = Android 4.4.3

but what role does this have? does Google make updates with same number in the description, but where the internal versions number (eg 4.4.3 or 4.4.4) is different depending of the phone?

The long version number is the HTC version (e.g. 1.50.401.1). Google is not implemented.
For Desire 816 - 1.50.401.1 is Android 4.4.2 with Sense 6.

Firmware Update

Hello Guys,
I need your help to update the firmware. Im now on version-main: 1.15.401.4 and want to update to the newest (dont know which one...)
I searched for hours, but just find broken links and outdated tutorials.
Also I got a question:
Can someone tell me why it is possible with my old firmware to run Android 11?
I dont understand the connection between the firmware and the android version...

Model: HTC U12 Plus (HTC__034)
Android 11 (ViperExperience Beta 7)
Version-main: 1.15.401.4
Status: rooted
