[Q] Spigen Slim Armor View vs. OtterBox Defender

Spigen Slim Armor View or OtterBox Defender?
Which case is better /in droptest & everyday life/?
It is very important to me, because I would like to buy better one

The otterbox defender is a more protecting case than the spigen slim armor case...if you drop your phones alot and you dont want to have to much expenses on always repairing the device i suggest the otterbox defender case

Yeah, I allready watched some videos on YouTube with Otterbox. They are very good, but I can't compare it to Spigen Armor View, because I can't find anything like "droptest S4" in this case. It's important to me to keep my superamoled screen & gorrila glass on S4 after something bad happens. That's why I wonder about Spigen View Case. Maybe it's more protective for stones when it drop on front face?

I currently use a Slim Armor with a Nano Slim Glass Screen protector and I love it, now it also depends if you drop your device a lot, I usually dont or even hardly ever do, but im sure if I drop it with this combo that I have i'll be OK.

There's a reason why there isn't any drop tests for the slim armor, it's because it's not that protective. It's good to protect the back and sides from everyday use, but for drops, not so much.

Maybe just the slim armor, but the slim armor view protects all of the sides when closed.

The Slim Armour view is just the same about the regular slim Armour but just with a face cover..and the cover is there to just only cover the screen..nothing more..

Are you saying it's not worth the 50 bucks?

I'd used Spigen Slim Armor View for about a month and I liked it very much. But after official KK 4.4.2 update, the home button on the front cover is no longer working (I guess Samsung had their S-View cover in mind). So I returned it the retailer and awaiting for Otterbox Defender as a replacement (credits to MobileFun). I've read a lot of positive reviews about it. :good:

Is there any other good S-View case, aside from the official samsung one?

I've seen a few out there, the one at the below link is quite decent looking and offers some more functionality over the Samsung one.

Thanks but it seems a bit expensive... for that I would prefer to buy a fake black matte one from AliExpress for 5 bucks shipped.

To be honest I would probably do the same, there are plenty of cheap chinese ones out there, its just getting one thats half decent quality.

Does any use the chromo flip view case?

Hey guys I'm looking for a flip case that has the s view function. But also offers more protection. I've looked at spigen slim armor flip case but I don't think I can live with the clip sticking out of the cover part. I was looking at the following case and was wondering if anyone has this case and if they can give me some feedback on it?

I have not used that case, but I have bought from that seller before. I would never buy from them again. They sold a cheap and completely falsely advertised product and wouldn't reply to email complaints. "Buyer beware"

I went to Target to price-match the Samsung S-View Cover and then purchased the Flip Mate by Spigen.

Yeah I've seen that I don't like clear cases. I'm also looking at the spigen ultra flip case

Yeah but it has the clip on the cover part. I don't like that at all. I'm OCD and it would just get on my nerves too much.

S-view is still IP67.
http://www.mobilezap.com.au/ is an option but I guess there are more possiblities.

[Q] I really want a good leather case.

But for the Note Edge. I also hate flip cases. So those are all unacceptable to me. I know, I know, I'm super picky, but I've scoured the internet for a case like the one in the link, so I figured I'd ask here in case I missed something.

I've been looking for one too... so far nothing but lousy cases. Iphone has a much better selection of sophisticated leather cases.

Try the Zenus. It's flip though.

i was looking for the exact same case you posted made by "casology", since i had that case for my Note 4! i switched to note edge and i couldnt find one like it! the closest case to it was made by "Verus".
but yeah that case you mentioned was probably the best looking case I've ever had on my phone! hopefully they come up with something similar for note edge!

Best case

i had the zenus leather case. It is very nice. Only reason I changed to the UAG is im using a flygrip and I cannot use a flygrip with a flip wallet case.

If it falls in the direction of the edge... the glass is destroyed. ... defeats the point of having a case.
