Isnt this the verizon page though? Why would we care about non verizon versions?

Just curious about this question - because I would really want to use this with T-Mobile.
So, a few days ago I noticed that an aquintance of mine was using an ATT Samsung Note with T-Mobile. I asked him - but you are only getting Edge (2G), right? So he says - "No! I flashed the GSM version modem, and I am getting HSPA+ (4G)", or whatever you call it.
I was shocked! Amazing solution.

Sigh. If S-Off is ever achieved then it will be possible. All you need is a similar phone with the same SoC that has a T-Mobile radio. In this case a One S radio may allow an S-Off One X to work on T-Mobile.
ANYONE CAN TYPE IN ALL CAPS IT DOESN'T MAKE THEM SEEM SMARTER THOUGH.

Hey other smart guy, you never said that but there is nothing wrong with someone asking a question. If they already made the thread they obviously haven't read any other possible threads so there is no point in not answering the question. I get people need to search but the thread is already here.

As stated earlier, we are not able to flash alternate radios for this device. Thread will be closed.
Please refrain from off topic posting, posturing, and arguing in the future.
Don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet but I just updated to 2.20 and damn, it's fast! My quadrant scores jumped to ~5100 and everything just feels quicker. As far as I can tell the multitasking works much better as well.

Yeah i can see how you would, i honestly didn't really use root unless it was Root Explorer.

I second this. I dont NEED root on my HOX...I just want it. I can wait for S-Off and a 2.20 exploit to come about. The phone is honestly great stock for me.
However, with Sprint on my gs2 I had to have root for roam control or I would never have been able to make phone calls from my apartment. Now with AT&T its all good. Selling my gs2 the 17th when the service gets disconnected.
I still have over 23 days left to keep or trade the HOX and it is looking like regardless of what happens with the development I will stick with it.

And throttling, taking good old plans away, "droid" crap, Update's that brake flash player on 4.0 NOT 4.1 and modding the phone so that it asks for wifi 24/7/365/the rest of time.
I was really pissed at them before and now getting better some what. I hope that I can drop my AT&T line some time, but that's less likely now becuase I get very good "4G" or H+ (3-4 out of 4 bars every were there) at were I work with 5Mbs+ DL vs 1-3 bars of verizon "3G" as slow as sprint like 500kbs slow.( That's with both my razr and now my S3 by the way)
Any way flash player better still work or I will likely be going to WP8 for some of flash player to work. ( never did think that was going to happen. LOL)

After using a GNEX for the past 6 months, I am actually loving TW. I was running a TW theme on JB to make it look like an S3 but you know what, it still wasn't an S3. Now I have a TW theme and it actually is an S3 : )

I've been working on one and just started trying to work with GRock84 who's working on one for at&t. I haven't been able to do anything with a screwed up laptop, but my new lappy just shipped

Yeah... and even if it did boot, most of it would be nonfunctional so I don't think it's worth it to go through the entire process.

The difference is AOSP is open source, Sense is not. It's not going to happen without the source code.

Was gonna say that but figured I probably would have gotten a wise answer. Don't know why but for some reason, the XL forums are seeing a large increase in helpless noobs recently. Probably cause of the One being released and everybody trading in their XL.

Yup. HTC really botched the naming on this phone. It's like Hardees and the Six Dollar Burger. It is both a burger size and a menu item. I've ended up with the wrong order a couple times because of that. Just like people brick their phones confusing the One X international and the One X from AT&T.
I think it would help if they'd sticky the 3.18 method in this forum. I had to do a bit of digging and read through quite a few threads to make sure I was reading the right info for rooting my freshly repaired phone and getting s-off. I know it's still in the hack and chop no one-click phase, but I'm sure the guys asking feel like I do and prefer stickies because it gives the post the feeling that the info is the most accurate available and that's where the geniuses who cook up these exploits will be posting.
