[XT1032] CM11 based roms stuck at bootlogo. - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
I experience an issue with running CM11 based roms. They stuck at bootlogo...
Flash procedure as always:
- Wipe cache, dalvik, system
- Flash from sd
I am using philz newest version.
I have tried:
Pac Rom
Ethndroix
C-rom
Slim
Every rom behave the same: boot logo appears, looks really laggy, then became smooth and nothing happens... I have been waiting even for 30 min...
I am on stock 4.4.2 GB tesco SL rom, but SIM lock is disabled. Of course bootloader unlocked and phone rooted.
For now I don't have access to pc with adb...
It is really frustrating
I read somewhere that I should use EU rom before flashing, because GB ROMs have such issue... Can somebody confirm and explain this?
I don't understand why GB stock rom can make such trouble.... I am formating system partition and putting new rom there so GB rom is removed and CM11 installed instead...
Any thoughts?

If you do a full wipe and choose the 1032 rom it should be alright.

It is not a EU vs GB problem it is a 4.4 vs 4.3 problem as you can see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2720963
Try to downgrade to 4.3 and then install a custom ROM.

Many thanks for this hint!
Does anyone know why it is possible to install CM roms from 4.2 stock and it is not possible from 4.4.2?
Is on xda some explanation what exactly causes this?
Cheers.

Help

Hi, I installed CM 10.2 in my GT-P3110 but now I want to install Stock 4.2.2 and I do not know how to do this without bricking the tablet because of retogressing its android version. The last time I did it was when I installed CM 10.1 after installing CM 10.2, the tablet got stuck in Samsung logo when booting it.
There is a good tutorial in this forum I returned to stock from cm ,11 last week with no issues

Just be prepared to do a full wipe and it will be fine

Just do a clean wipe and you'll be good. When I change Android versions and/or install a completely new ROM, I always format data too.
Use odin
the only way to retun to ctock is download the latest version of rom from sammobile and use odin to flash

Did you undo the BigPart process and go back to stock partition sizes?

The other option is to try to flash one of the bigPart boot images on top of the new rom and see if that works.
If it does, you would need to re-flash after every rom update, and might lose some ROM features if the kernel doesn't support them. It might be worth a shot.

Flashed CM 11 now I can't revert!!

Guys be careful when trying the new nightly, I cannot revert back to stock, won't let me fastboot flash any firmware.. Now I'm stuck on Cyanogenmod

I think you cant revert to lower android versions right now because of changed partitions oder something like that... im not sure whats the problem! restore with cwm should help but it's a temporal fix

[Q] Help : Phone stuck on Bootloader Unlocked screen after downgrade from 4.4.4 GPE

I tried downgrading my Moto G Xt1033 from GPE 4.4.4 to Motorola stock 4.4.2 and the phone is stuck at "Bootloader unlocked screen" need :crying:
Well I had the same problem just one day ago and it's a bit tough. The good thing is that you can fix and install a custom rom (I chose PA 4.42 btw) when you try. The bad thing is that you can't downgrade to 4.4.2 or 4.4.3 right now. But read for urself
I guess the reason is that the partition layout has changed with 4.4.4
I hope I did help you a little bit,

Moto G flashing custom roms

I have a rooted Moto G with stock rom, do I need to partition the phone storage with gparted or similar before I flash a rom such as carbon rom or omnirom etc, or is the partition already allocated in the freespace in the phone storage at the time of flashing? Thanks

No. Your phone already has the suited partitions and you can keep storage the way it is. Just make sure the custom rom you flash is suitable for XT1032.
Thanks, been a while since I flashed a custom rom, last one was to my old htc desire.
