Hi Guys,
I followed the process from this link in the XDA forum to get my 3BR mode working.. its working perfectly, I am able to access the recovery mode > which allowed me to apply the voodoo lag fix.
I was quite happy until I plugged my phone back into KIES.. In KIES when I click firmware upgrade my phone immediately fails saying the servers are unavailable or I don't have a internet connection, however I do.
I have tried unistalling and reinstalling to no avail. I would love to get this working before froyo 2.2 comes out so I can upgrade via KIES.
This is my phone about screen
2.6.29 curio carton #Voodoo_lagfix_3.0
Build Number : ECLAIR.DTJG4
Please help me
Cheers

Hi,
I flashed Gingerbread ROM on my Galaxy TAB. Works perfectly.
However when I connect to Kies, it says this device can not be updated. So after having a feel of gingerbread I decided to flash the stock ROM - DDJK3 ( Asian - India ) . It flashed fine and boots into fryo with all correct version and Kies also recognize it and says that this is the latest firmware.
The only problem is that TAb reboots itself if I do one of the following:
1) Try to 'add a wifi connection' : the manual way
2) Screen times out
3) press the power button once to lock screen ( guess same as no 2)
Though I like Gingerbread and will switch back to it, just wanted to use the DDJK3 stock ROM in case I have to take it back to service center, and also out of the DAMN curiosity ...
Has anyone faced this problem and found a solution ...
Best Regards
I want to flash my galaxy S back to my old android 2.3 the problem is that when I connect it to pc KIES does not identify it because it is running on cyanogenmod !!! Please can anyone tell me what to do and With steps
first flash with odin, then flash with kies

I flashed it with odin but the rom I flashed is not working soo the kies cannot identifty it it keeps saying connecting and nothing happens
my friend's dad gave me his Samsung GT-N8013 tab to help him fix it.
the tab is not rooted and USB debugging is not enabled. The man also does not know the OS version in the tab. As a matter of fact he does not know what is JB, ICS or Kit Kat. He only knows them as desserts.
The problem is that the note does not boot, it cannot go into recovery, it cannot even turn off except u plug it to the charger.
it can only boot into download mode so i downloaded the official OS and tried to flash it using odin but it does not work. it says pit file missing.
i do not know how to help him. Please we will need your help
Hello,
I have a Samsung S Duos GT-S7562 phone that I had bought in India back in October 2013.
Since around May 2020, the phone was not booting properly. Part of the reason might be due to the malfunction of the battery. Another reason might be due to fault(s)/bug(s) in the system firmware.
It was later confirmed by local mobile repair shops and also by the local Samsung Authorized Service Center that due to both fault in system firmware and the malfunctioning battery, the phone is not working anymore. They tried to install system firmware once again in the phone but they said they failed in doing so, hence recommended that there is no point in repairing the phone.
Now, since this phone malfunctioned all of a sudden, I didn't have the backup of data stored in the phone's memory.
Since day one, I have been using the original firmware that came with the phone, so there was no custom ROM installed on the phone until it malfunctioned. I have removed SIM cards and an external SD card from the phone.
So, the present status is that when I press the power button, it only shows the SAMSUNG boot screen and gets stuck there. The battery doesn't work anymore. So, even when the phone is connected using a charging adapter, the battery indicator (in the switch off or power off mode) doesn't show any indication of the phone is charged or not.Since the phone doesn't boot normally, so, I am not able to see any information about the system firmware (Kernel Baseband version and other related information).Recently, I noticed that I have been able to enter download mode by pressing the Vol Down, Power, and Home Button together, but it takes a lot of attempts in doing it.
So, my question is that, given the above information about the status of my phone, is it possible to install the original STOCK ROM of the S7562 phone and recover the data stored in the phone's memory and also able to access the phone normally?
Now, I have watched a few threads on XDA Forum about Rooting or Installing Custom ROMS in Samsung S Duos S7562.
If it is possible to install stock ROM on my phone, should I follow the procedure as mentioned in the following forums?

Now, the links of ODIN, Original Stock S Duos S7562, Samsung USB Drivers are not working in the above threads.
So, can you please provide the updated links to the software required above?
Some additional information about my phone.
I don't have normal access to my phone.
But Last time, when I was able to, I think USB Debugging was enabled.
Phone not charging at all. Have to Plug it in before using it.
Android Version that was installed earlier: 4.0.4
I don't remember the Kernel Baseband Version. But I bought it in India and that also back in October 2013.
I have downloaded Odin version 3.14.4 and Samsung USB Drivers as well as Samsung KIES Driver software from another 3rd party source.
But, I haven't found a reliable source for the Stock ROM of S7562.
I am yet to install the Samsung USB Drivers and Odin software. I will connect it to a Windows 8 PC.
I am not able to identify which version of STOCK Rom of S7562 based on the previous Kernel Baseband version. (I don't know if IMEI will help to identify Kernel Baseband Version but the serial No. of the phone is S7562ZKAINS.
So, please let me know if I can go ahead in installing the Stock ROM on my phone or not.
If I do go ahead then can you please let me know whether the installation of ROM gets completed when the phone reboots after installation and flashes 4-5 times?
Can I use Samsung KIES instead of Samsung USB Drives for connecting the PC with the phone?
And, may I know how big is the file size of the Stock Rom of S7562?
Is it possible to recover the data that was installed earlier from the main memory after the installation of the Stock ROM?
