Do you know of a URL for downloading a valid apk for Dolphin Browser version 10.3.1? Or any release of version 10? Every apk I have found so far is bogus. The developers of Dolphin Browser decided to "improve" the browser and released version 11.0.0. Their improvements have ruined what was an excellent browser. <sigh>
What do you mean by 'bogus'? I found 10.3.0 and it seems to work, but I have no way of knowing how legitimate it is!
I've uploaded it here if it helps:

By "bogus" I mean the apk will not install and the tablet's OS reports it is an invalid file. Thank you for the URL. I will check it out.
Edit: The apk is valid and installed without problem. Again, thank you.

Restoring my bookmarks was a bit of a task. Luckily, I had saved a copy of the browser.db file from version 10.3.1. It was not directly useable with 10.3.0; the file caused 10.3.0 to crash. I copied the 10.3.0 and 10.3.1 browser.db files to my PC and then used a SQLite database editor to import bookmarks from the 10.3.1 file into the 10.3.0 file. Then I copied the edited 10.3.0 browser.db file back to my XTZ and voilĂ , all my bookmarks were in 10.3.0. I would still like to find a 10.3.1 apk, but the 10.3.0 will do for now or at least until the Dolphin developers fix their version 11.

Sounds like a lot of trouble! Luckily I'm trying to keep Dolphin sync-ed to my PC bookmarks so I just imported Chrome bookmarks again. Do you remember what was fixed in 10.3.1?

I guess I should begin doing something similar, but I try not to save anything on the grid and syncing sometimes requires interim storage on Google's or whoever's servers. My failure was losing my backup copy of Dolphin 10.3.1 by running Titanium Backup Pro shortly after receiving the version 11 update.

No, however, one of the changes must have been to the browser.db file because the files for 10.3.0 and 10.3.1 are structured slightly different, but different enough to cause 10.3.0 to crash.

Thanks, but I have. I have also signed up as a Dolphin beta tester. Yes, the developers have restored the left and right swipe features, which is a good thing; however, V11.1.3 is still problematic, so the developers have more work to do before Dolphin is once again as stable as v10.3.1 was.
Quick Question

Hey Cat! I see in your sig it shows "Samsung Galaxy S 5 (SM-G900V) with 4.4.2 build KOT49H.G900VVRU1ANE9 Rooted" which is the new OTA update that was just released a little ago. I have the one right before that with safestrap recovery and stock 4.4.2 rooted with TowelRoot.
The question is (Since it seems to be breaking roots here and there) were you able to do the update without any problems and how did you install it?

I purposely allowed the NE9 OTA update to install knowing I would loose root access. To regain root access I did the following.
1. Allow KOT49H.G900VVRU1ANE9 update to install.
2. Enable Settings > Developer options > USB debugging.
3. Enable Settings > Security > Unknown sources.
4. Power off GS5 (Galaxy S 5).
5. Power on GS5 into Odin Mode (press and hold Home key, Volume Down key, and Power key until GS5 powers on and displays warning screen, then press Volume Up key).
6. Use Odin3 (installed on PC) to install old rootable NCG kernel.
7. Download, install, and run TowelRoot app to gain root access.
8. Download, install, and run SuperSU Pro app.
9. Power off GS5.
10. Power on GS5 into Odin Mode again.
11. Use Odin3 again to install new NE9 kernel.
You will now have root access even though you are running the new unrootable NE9 kernel.
Requirements:
Odin3 v3.09
KOT49H.G900VVRU1ANCG Kernel
KOT49H.G900VVRU1ANE9 Kernel
TowelRoot (tr.apk)
SuperSU Pro (recommend; you can use SuperSU or SuperUser instead)

Ok so here is flash 11 which works with hulu by tricking it that the flash player is a desktop version. This mod is 100% the work of Vgeezy from thrive forums. i am just reposting it here.
Instructions:
1) Download the apk
2) Uninstall flash on the transformer
3) Install apk
4) Set user agent in browser to desktop (open browser-setting-advanced-user agent string- desktop)
5) Go to www.hulu.com and enjoy!
If these instructions dont work try this: (Credit Cowballz69)
1) Set flash to always on on the browser
2) Disable pictures to make sure you boot original flash in market (browser-settings-advanced-uncheck display pictures)
3) Play any flash video with original flash app
4) Uninstall flash from market
5) Install modded flash.apk
6) play any hulu video now
If your flash settings are set to on demand u must scroll down and click the green arrow on the right next to "share this video" to enable the flash. otherwise u can keep flash on always on in settings. (i hate flash ads so i keep on on-demand)
For a frame rate boost u can go to browser-settings-advanced-and uncheck load images (thanks cowballz69)
also if u want an easier ui to access vids some ppl prefer http://www.hulu.com/widget/player but i think that is better suited for smaller phone screen
if u are having problems and it doesn't work make sure you have the new 10.3 installed from market, install the modded apk over top of that then uninstall Flash again and then install the modded apk. (Thanks MonsterAndroid)
No luck here. Maybe I'm doin it wrong.

What is the error it gives u? Does it say platform not supported? or it needs higher version of flash?
works perfect. However please add this to instructions *must switch flash from on demand to always on

Ok will add tidbit about ondemand and pictures off as options. But u can still use with ondemand there is a little arrow next to share this video that allows u to turn on flash for those that hate to keep it always on to avoid pesky flash ads.
Does not work for me. Says hulu is not supported on my platform. Do i need root? I just tried installling on top of 10.3,it says not installed. Then i uninstalled 10.3 and used file manager to pull up the downloaded file and installed it. No luck.

try uninstalling the modded version again. reinstall the market version. then uninstall market version and try installing the modded version. Let me know if that works.
Make sure you hit all the x's on the tabs to close out of the browser ... you cant just hit the back button to exit, that will just put it in the background processes ... remember that. Once you come back in it should work.

I did this about 5 different times with no luck. One time my TF froze and i had to hard reboot. Then i decided to switch flash to ondemand, it had been on always previously. Dont ask why i did it, I just had a haunch. Anyways, it works now. I am not sure if it finally took or if changing the option made it work, but it works now. Thx.

Not sure why its working for some and not for others. Maybe for those who are having problems post what software build version u are using. I am on the 0423 build so maybe people who are on old firmware are having problems.
If u post as much specific detail about what the problem is and how ur device is set up maybe we can figure out a solution.
i'm on 8.2.3.9-20110423
I had flash 10.2 installed. put flash 10.3_hulu into a folder on my transformer.
uninstalled flash 10.2, then used Ghost Commander to locate the 10.3 & install it.
tried the stock browser, with the user agent set to Desktop... didnt work.
tried Dolphin HD with user agent set to desktop... didnt work.
rebooted. tried both again. didnt work.
uninstalled 10.3_hulu. rebooted. installed 10.3 (marketplace version). then uninstalled it. then re-stalled the hacked version. rebooted. tried both stock & dolphin. nothing. changed dolphin's plug-in settings from "always on" to "on demand." still nothing.
got angry. cursed out friends on xboxlive because I can. made angry post on xda forum. relived the horror all over again by typing this post
just tried installed the hacked one over the standard one. still doesnt work. uninstalled then installed hacked on again. still nothing.
Only way I was able to get it to work was by setting plug in to On Demand.
Got it to work on mine. Downloaded the .apk file and ran it from file manager. Failed to install first time. Uninstalled the stock version then reran the modded one. Installation completed then. Had to drop the show resolution down to 480. 720 was a bit to choppy. Biggest problem right now, is that the Hulu screen wasn't intended for a touchscreen interface.
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA Premium App
got it to work on mine but its laggy when its running on full screen.
Mine wasn't working with the apk from the older post...I kept getting the "unsupported on your platform" message right when I got into Hulu.com.
When I loaded this apk and followed the steps...I got all the way to choosing and watching a vid before I got that message....
but still no joy.
hi everyone
i have a samsung galaxy note 10.1 Gt-8010, and i am having trouble installing media flash player on my tablet.
On the samsung apps they suggest something like going to adobe website and download the app, do i need to go through the external SD card and after that to transferet it to my tablet? if some one has a step by step manoeuvre how to do it that will be very appreciated.
thanks

Search google for archived versions of flash player or click link. http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html Scroll about half way down the page and look for then click and download the newest flash version for android 4.0 .It will be the top link in that section. Tap taskbar then tap settings then tap security then tap to check the box that will allow "install from unknown sources". When the file is downloaded click on it from the taskbar and allow install. When it is installed click the app from the all apps page and it will ask you what browser to open it in if you have multiple browsers installed. Open it in stock browser. No need to adjust settings just opening it associates it. Your done.
Dolphin browser and chrome browser DO NOT work with flash unless you edit xml prefs so do not use dolphin or chrome. Boat browser and stock browser work with flash natively. Personally I have found that boat works well stock works real well and dolphin browser when you have edited the xml works best of all.

Basically agree with description of where to get Flash Player and how to install. OTOH, having completed the install, Flash worked just fine with Dolphin (and stock browser) without editing anything. I thought Chrome just flat didn't support Flash.

What flash content did you play with dolphin? Because as far as i know it does not support flash without edit. Go to settings and look at flash status. In current dolphin versions flash is disabled and will not turn on. Dolphin plays flash content on mine because I edited it to do so. Chrome does not support add ons on mobile platform.

Any ideas how to solve this?

Hi, So i recently bought a nexus 6p and I rooted it as one of the first things. I then found out I was running Nougat, and Xposed wasn't out yet. Many apps blocks the use of the app if you are rooted fx. Snapchat. But I found a way around without using a Xposed mod fx. 'root cloak'.
All you have to do:
1. Download Root Browser, by JRummy Apps Inc. or any other app of the same kind
2. navigate to /vendor/lib/
3. Locate the file named "liboemcrypto.so"
4. Rename the file to "liboemcrypto.so.bak"
5. power off the device and boot it normally up, and then Snapchat should be working again:good:
If I posted this in the wrong thread, sorry it my first post
#EDIT 1
6. Login to Snapchat
7. Rename "liboemcrypto.so.bak" to "liboemcrypto.so" (original name)
8. power off the device and boot it normally up. Then Snapchat should still be working, and you will not get any errors in other apps
Check my comment for more details (comment 5)
It works! Thank you so much!

I'm getting a "operation failed" message every time I try to change this. I've tried root browser and amaze file manager, and got the same message both times. Each has superuser permissions. Is there a fix for this?
Thankssss! Love you!
Okay so yesterday I started getting errors, Spotify not playing any sound, Facebook videos not loading, Facebook messenger call not working. One week after I changed the name of the file, so I decided to change it back to see if it was the file that was causing the problems. After I renamed it back to original, and then I had no errors with the other apps and Snapchat is still logged in and working.
So I recommend to change the file to .bak, reboot, login in Snapchat. Change the file back, reboot and then there shouldn't be any problems:good:

Simplest way to use SnapChat on the rooted phone.
Step 1: Unroot (In SuperSU, click Full Unroot and restart)
Step 2: (After the reboot) Install Snapchat
Step 3: Log in
Step 4: Go to TWRP/CWM and flash SUPERSU
Step 5: Open Beer
You now have SNAPCHAT working on a rooted phone.
I have tried all of these methods, with or without Xposed. Impossible to get it to work on my htc one m7. Anyone have experience on the same device? and NO Casper is not an option!! Thanks

Pretty much the title, is it somehow possible to downgrade chrome without rooting my S21+? I've disabled the app and uninstalled updates, but I always get an error while trying to install an older APK.
which architecture are you downloading, and why chrome specifically? Use Firefox or some other non chromium browser. If you are gonna download chrome you have to find the architecture of your device and adb install from computer.
In the end I switched to kiwi browser, in my opinion it's the closest one to chrome.

If you want the explanation it's because the chrome browser version that comes preinstalled with your S21+ is newer than the one you're trying to install. So if you ever wanted to retry that, you have to get ride of the preinstalled one and it requires root access (+ a Magisk module because the system partition is read only) .
