Bigboy GPro 2 KDZ theard. - LG G Pro 2

Hi,
Somebody can know me, somebody may not.
I'm doing firmware list for LG phones. You can see my good list in g2 section.
Since lg changed something we don't have an access for new phones since lg flex.
I think that everybody want to know when gpro 2 will get new fresh updates but nobody will do kdz list so you must wait when invidual users will tell you.
I have a deal for this situation.
@update:
Ok so first thing is that I must know every G Pro 2 codename models.
For example for LG G2 there are a lot of codenames:
LGLS980 Sprint North America
LGVS980 Verizon North America
LGD800 - AT&T North America
LGD801, LGD801BK - North America
LGD802, LGD802T, LGD802TA, LGD802TR - Asia, China, Cis, Europe, Mid. Asia
LGD803 - North America
LGD805, LGD806 - Mid/South America, North America
LGL01F - Japan
LGL22 - KDDI special Japan phone
LGF320K/L/S - Korea
I will try to search by myself but I'm looking for your help too.
When I will have all variants list I will create full suffix list for every brand in every country and then I will tell you what will be next.
I'm working now in G2 Mini, G Pro 2 and G Flex in same time so I will have a lot things to do.

It is good to have this full list...
unfortunately some G Pro 2 models, like F350, they never released an KDZ format upgrade (only in TOT)

[Q] Does the Version of Moto G affect Developing?

Stationed in Italy, want the Moto G
Are the versions (US vs Global) matter when it comes to development? I don't want to get the global version to only find out I can't do anything with it haha
Thanks!!
See in Setting - about phone and press number compilation repeatedly.

the International edition so far got more development I could see. But it's early stages, in any case. The US AWS one would be fairly useless in Italy so don't get it
Global is the way to go if you can. The US version is for TMobile for the most part. For instance, I live in the US, but own the global 16gb model.

LG G Pro 2 announcement and name get confirmed

Hey members,
Good News for those waiting to get Update. G Pro just got first Update with KitKat as GPro2. Problem is We have to buy this update for around 600$ again.
:highfive: for one who will buy this update from LG.
Anyway News here:
LG spilled the beans on the announcement and the name of the successor of the LG Optimus G Pro. The upcoming phablet will go official in February (MWC in Barcelona is likely) as the LG G Pro 2.
Unsurprisingly, LG removed the ‘Optimus’ moniker from the name of the yet to be seen handset. Like the latest batch of high-end smartphones from the Korean manufacturer, the device will launch as simply a member of the 'G' lineup.
In case revealing only the name of an upcoming device appears to be an odd move by LG, we must point that this isn’t the first time the company pulls such a trick. Last year, the manufactuer revealed the name of its current flagship, the LG G2 in a similar fashion.

New Images of leaked pics:
We have great devs! someone will figure out how to port this over to our phone after they look over all the specs and such
Great news, however LG has a history of not supporting their phones for very long, however if it has Dev support and is what the G2 was to the S4 then I might have to get it regardless
Damn you beat me to it @NaveenKumarXDA I just read about this over at Engadget. Seems like they "promise" to release it next month but what I want to know is how the future of that phone will look on Us carriers hopefully it isn't single carrier variant.

I saw from a news feed somewhere that this is a 5.9" screened device. Too big for my taste. 5.5" is my limit, and our LG OGP fits the bill.
I'm leaving my beloved ogp as my daily driver and picking up an xperia z ultra

I have the Korean version in the UK and it works fine.
You can delete all the Korean apps that come pre installed so that's good.
There are a few tweaks I made myself to make the phone better such as removing the Korean roaming clock from the lockscreen etc... just to make the phone a bit more English friendly. You do need root for that which is easy enough to do.
The phone will work on EE and Three's 4G networks only. It won't work on O2 or Vodafone 4G but will work on every network 3G and 2G fine.

What's the number of your Korean version? Is it a D838 (the "International" version, I was told) or something else?
Am a bit concerned as have ordered a D838 and I'm on O2...
And does your G Pro 2 have the TV aerial built in??? I've seen some models which do...

The Korean Version has the model number F350.
The Asian version (Hong Kong) has the model number D838 and was released after the Korean version.
Unfortunately the D838 only supports 1800Mhz and 2600Mhz and not the 800Mhz that O2 use for 4G. So the phone will work fine on 3G and 2G but it will not work on 4G at all.
You'll probably want to wait for the European model to launch if you want to use O2. Otherwise only EE and Three will work with both the D838 and F350 on 4G in the UK.
And yes, the Korean version (F350) is the one with the aerial. The Asian version does not have an aerial and is the same look as the European/American variants will be.

[Q] Is there any difference between the Chinese one of OPO and the international one?

I want to buy the OPO but my throwback is the country I live in, Bangladesh. As you know, 16 countries are officially available to the supply of OPO and Bangladesh is not listed on it. Surprisingly one of the dealers in Bangladesh is selling OPO at a rate of $488.75 (US Dollar) for the Chinese Version.
So my query is that is there any difference between the Chinese version and the international version or are they both identical. And why is the Chinese version so widely available where as the International version is as bad as extinct?
Anyone Help? Thanks in advance xD

Thanks. Could you tell me if I'm going to be able to use LTE and 3g in USA or in countries in Europe? I'm a student and I'm going to change countries for better education in a year. So I need to know if LTE and 3G will work properly on major carriers in USA or in countries in Europe. Thanks for your help earlier though, really appreciate the time you taken to do the researches for my help. Thanks.

[Q] D837 or D838

Hi,
I'm a Brit based in Hong Kong. I want some advice on whether to get the D837 or the D838? They're about the same price here and both parallel imported goods. Only thing I can see technically is that the D837 has more bands available.
now, I do go back to the UK, maybe twice a year, and I have a SIM card on GiffGaff. Reading up, it won't work on D838 4G, but not a major deal. It'd be nice to have 4G, but as I'm only there for a short time, it's not a sticking issue.
Would there be any other issues I should be wary of? Localisation issues/software/app problems? Would the dev scene be different? There's a lot of users with the D838 and most mods/development is on that. (not that there is much from what I've seen).
any guidance here would be great.
Thanks.
The D837 is yet to be released over here in UK AFAIK and i doubt they will, just like the original G Pro. The only difference is the addition of the 800MHz LTE band on the D837.

Thanks. I'm thinking the D838. i can't seem to find any firmware files (or anything really) for the D837 model.
Root should still work as normal, but will need testing. there's a lot to think about

Thanks for this, just wish they had given more details about Europe, I suspect I'm still going to get the T-Mobile version as the 200gb sd card deal is worth it alone!

Europe = UK ? for the LG V10 actually
As Samsung for the Note 5, it's not a good strategy to have so few information about the countries who get the device. It's not difficult for theses big manufacturers to sell phones around the world.
Result : wait or died.
On Twitter, I asked LGBlog when the LG V10 would be released in Germany. They answered: "The V10 won't be declared for sale by us in Germany." (link: https://twitter.com/BB4ll/status/661182630646403072)
