haha ok so i know this will prolly get deleted quickly but.
basically i just wanted to piss and moan over the fact that now since the old version of poweramp is obsolete, i cant get the transparent widget with the white lettering...this irks me...that is all
Haha. Hopefully in the next major release skinning will be available. Will be interesting to see the skins some of these creative people make...
yea that would be really great, pretty much the only thing i can think of that could improve this already almost perfect app!
DO WANT this to be skinnable. 4x2 widget is great, but the dark blue/light blue scheme is horrible with my backgrounds

This would make life super awesome, I know it's CYANogenmod, but my phone case/protector is pink, as is my desktop (usually). What would make life awesome would be a pink theme already based on the existing 6.1 framework. I love the black of cyanogen, and i'm not talking like having the lettering in every frame or even the "black" turning pink, but a good bit of pink tossed in there, somehow. I would love it!
Thanks!

EDIT: looks like it's for RC1, but it is pink, so you should be able to port it to current 6.1 using theme injector

yes, 100%. That's exactly what I'm after.
I'll see what I can do sometime this week.
It'll be something to work on in between studying for finals
After playing around a bit, I really like Mau5, but would love it on pink. Like the useage of the Cyan, but in pink is what I'm after

I just need to do the .9.pngs now and possibly/probably some xml edits.

Yes of course I'll be making a new thread here in 'Themes and Apps' once I finish, and post the link here.
Unfortunately a few things came up Friday/Saturday that needed to get taken care of, which in turn took up the themeing time
Sooo, the new ETA is now sometime before the end of Tuedsay - assuming I get all the .9.pngs and images working correctly the first or second time
Awesome! Thank you so much!

Yes and no
Unfortunately the .9.pngs are giving me a few problems here and there. As you can see on the attached pictures the pull down bar, pop up dialogue boxes, and the activity title bar needs to get fixed.
So I gotta go back and edit them until they look as they should (trial and error). It's pretty close to being finished though
I'm traveling today (Wed) and will be fairly busy for a few days, but I'll make time and get it up before Christmas. I was really hoping to get it done today before I left - hence the 3am clock time haha But as I said the .9.pngs didn't turn out as planned.
Edit: When I first put out the theme it'll have the modded framework and mau5 keyboard. Then I'll be re-theming other system apps shortly after
Also if you want the colors changed a little bit (darker/brighter) or something just know.
that looks so badass, you have no idea. I like the pink. I dont' like the real light pinks, I like something with some saturation, and that does it really well. it looks awesome. only thing I could even think of to spice it up would to be giving the boring "grey" areas something about them. A gradient effect? something to make them look a little "metallic" thus having some depth. I'm sure in the future something like that can happen. But heck at this point I'll take anything. I love how it looks so far, though

I'm sexist and don't want to share
Just wanted to give an update as not let people watching this thread think I forgot about it
Current situation: waiting for my portable HDD I forgot to bring back from my trip Once it gets here I'll upload the theme the way it is (basically what you see in the pictures), so you guys/gals can at least have something that's close to what the finished product will look like. Then I'll be doing updates fixing the other .9.pngs and working the gradient background .9.pngs as requested
Apologies for the delay again
Fantastic, thank you!

has there been any update on this yet not rushing just wondering my wife wants it
Here is a simple theme I have been making for myself and decided to share with you guys. It is very minimal as I don't like major themes. It Is black and Ics blue. It themes the systemui, framework, contacts, dialer, gallery, mms. I made the toggles in the pulldown a little smaller on the height to not waste space like they are stock and they are very slightly transparent, and the brightness slider is removed because I don't use it and think it wastes space also. The messaging app I used some of my sense 4 bubbles I had made from my rezound, The bubble colors can be changed in the app settings, and there are a few different backgrounds in there also. As always make a backup in recovery first in case you don't like or have problems. Just flash the zip in recovery.
Updated to r2 fixed the status bar clock so it is blue now, and themed the phone apk to match the dialer and contacts. Also adding in a flashable zip to add the brightness slider back in. Flash the theme first then the slider zip if you want the brightness slider. The brightness slider is the zip attached to the bottom of this post Pulldown_Bright just flash that after the theme.
Updated to R3 now. Has new dialer, dimed down the blue contact pictures a little for unknown contacts, fixed a few little things in the framework that weren't themed, and added a different bubble style to the 4th style in the app.
Updated to R4. No huge changes just new contact picture backgrounds, a few buttons here and there, and blue spinner in the framework, changed the bottom row icons on the dialer to white. And has the newer updated systemui thats in my other thread. Havent changed the screenshots yet so they dont reflect the changes.
Updated to R5. Some new icons here and there and I finally found the gray behind the ok and cancel buttons and the reboot menu. Added in the fading to blue instead of a hard line in some places. Added in seperate flashable to remove call recording so the phone apk stays themed, and as always the brightness slider for those who want it. Make sure you flash the full theme first. Updated all the screenshots also.
Update R6. Just a few small things in the framework, fixed the little line by the settings in the pulldown to be ics blue, and fixed when you touch your notifications in the pulldown its ics blue now instead of darker blue. Made all the divider lines in the settings blue also.

Any chance you can make a flash for an ICS blue clock qnd possibly make a flash for to enable the brightness slider? Trying to find an all-blue app that doesn't change to much about synergy and this caught my eye. Thanks either way!

I fixed the clock so it is blue now. I also added in a zip to put the brightness slider back for those that prefer it. I also themed the phone apk in the new version so that it matches the dialer, before if you were in a call the buttons didnt match.

Yeah those bubbles are in the stock message apk I think just ugly colored. I may play around with them a little. Im kinda bored with the sense 4 bubbles since ive used them for a while before this phone. I may make the blue the same as the rest of the theme. Either way I will leave the way it is now and whatever I do as an addon probably, so people have options.
You guys should use the synergy secMMS.apk for your re theming. They tweaked it and fixed a lot of annoyances; namely the option to turn off the 'screen on every time a message is received feature'.
I hate using the stock MMS app for multiple reasons but its mainly the color and screen on when receiving a message. Just figured I'd throw it out there! Thanks!

So I'm not sure what I'd recommend for the dialer. I definitely like the white numbers better than blue, but the value outlines are rubbing me the wrong way. I'm not sure what I'd suggest though because no lines would look unfinished.
It is growing on me.
The pull down is awesome.

Yeah I feel the same on it lol. It looks weird without the outlines because its all black. I might try like a 50% transparent blue outline so it doesnt stand out as much. Or I could go ics blue solid keys, but that might be way to much lol. Or maybe just dark grey or something on the keys. Ill get something figured out, it took me like a week with the pulldown to get everything the way I like it.
I do agree with u as well!!!

Just wondering if the status bar is fully transparent and if it is could we get it a little less? I haven't installed yet but it looks like it could be hard to see certain things on it.
Will deff. use this when your set with everything!
Thanks for the theme. Looks good and works great!
I kinda of like where the dialer is headed. I prefer the ics blue, but it does look a little blocky. Not sure what to suggest. Maybe no outline, and color the buttons ics blue but with a gradient from transparent to blue? I dunno.
The only thing I could do without is the battery mod. I like one circle. 2 confuses me.
But I can live with it. Thanks again!

No the status bar is about the same as the stock synergy one on transparency. Then I changed it a little from the screenshots to where when you get notifications its darker transparent behind them. You can see the notifications pretty well. I dont like the solid black behind them to blocky for me or something. Its to where it looks good and you can see them well too.

What do you guys think of this for the dialer buttons.
So I know we have a lot of great themers for this phone and I was wondering if anyone would like to tackle a Inverted theme, basically something all white. Im thinking of something similar to this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cgas.jamtwg.donate&hl=en
I thought it would be sick if we could get something like this. A white theme to match the white GS3's!
no one really? lol
White status bar = froyo = ugly as f%$#. Make the theme yourself. No one will use it.

Keep the status bar black but settings white. Thinking of doing a sense theme like this.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
Just FYI displaying white on an amoled screen consumes FAR more battery than displaying black... They didn't make all their menus and settings black just because they thought it looked cool.
Black pixels = no energy consumption.
White pixels = full energy consumption.
If you ever saw a series of WP7 phones you may have noticed that some of their homescreens were white and some were black. MS actually had this as an option for device manufacturers to optimize battery life depending on whether they had an AMOLED or LCD screen. LCD screens are actually the opposite of AMOLED when it comes to consumption; displaying white consumes little energy while displaying black consumes the most.

Good morning all,
I had a thought this morning, after messing around with my Continuum. Is it possible to alter the color of the GS3 menu and back buttons. I'm not really interested in enabling a softkey mod. Rather than white I'd kind of like to change them to cyanogenmod blue. I just think it'd look cool. I'm running CM10.1 and I see that there are options to change the longpress functins and such but nothing about the appearance of the buttons. Maybe they are just white LEDs that illuminate them but I thought is was worth an ask. Thanks in advance for any info.
Peace,
Ray

Well, with my Continuum I am able to do a mod to the framework and change what are actually soft keys but appear to be similar to our hardware keys. On the other hand if I use the Light Flow app I can alter the color of the notification LED. I was wondering if the LEDs for the 2 illuminated nav keys can be modified, via a script change, to illuminate a different color. Like I said, if the LEDs are white only then that's that. But if they can display multiple colors it'd be a pretty trick mod. That's all.

I'm sure they're just white. When the notification LED shines white, you definitely get three different colors, which morph into white. The hardware LEDs ONLY shine white. Phone companies try to keep the cost down as much as possible, so if they were to include colored LEDs they'd DEFINITELY make use of them! Its a good idea, that would be really cool
