AOSP keyboard stopped

I have tried 2 different AOKP and 2 CM10 and both times I get "Unfortunately , Android (AOSP) Keyboard has stopped." Any help at this time would be most appreciated. Also when I get this message I cant open the browser either.
This is for my brother in laws phone.
I had a similar if not the exact issue/error message. In my issue it was related to the gapps version I was flashing. I flashed gapps 4.2(many variations) and I would always get that message. Flashed gapps 4.1 and everything was fine. Hope this helps.

Go into the apps screen in the settings menu, go to the ALL tab, find the Gallery, and delete data. (This will not delete existing photos)
See if that helps. May require a reboot, but probably not.
thanks for the quick response... just tried but same message... "unfortunately, gallery has stopped" any other ideas.?

Try having a check on the Home button. If its kinda jammed then whatever you open, it will get minimized. When I had my old Samsung phone, I encountered with this issue at a time, and when I pressed the Home button slightly hard and then released, then it started to work normally.
i am trying

Microphone not working! [P3100]

So I upgraded to the 04/03/13 nightly build of CyanogenMod 10.1 P3100 today. Everything seems to be working great except that my microphone won't work! Any help would be much appreciated. Won't work in any app.

I had the same problem last week but rebooting the device solved it for me. I hope it works for you too.
I did have the same problem. By installing an update of google search my microphone worked again
Thanks for the tip. I have tried the above two methods to no avail! Maybe in the next nightly it will fix itself. Would be grateful if anyone else had some tips!

Uhm, mine works great, but I could not get the CM Nightlies to install. Always give me a system 7 error with CWM ROM Manager. So, I used the EXPERIMENTAL build and man, that really works great. Everything works, no problems at all after installing the update that came in system settings, once installed. The only problem I had was hardly any SDcard space after installing. Found the fix for it, even reposted it for others who had this problem. Format the internal SD card after installing. You will lose all of your apps but Google put them all back in like ½ an hour, so now the tablet rocks so hard, I cannot find *anything* that does not work anymore. Originally I had audio problems, audio would crap out if you used the HP jack and tried to talk. But after the update, this jellybean ROM is golden. Give it a try, it is really, really good.
Installing now! Thanks for the tip!

THE SAME PROBLEM P3110 BAKED Blackbean ... MIC NOT WORKING
Same problem with dark fantasy Rom... Funny thing is... Skype still works...
Solved!
Hey guys just wanted to post the fix I found. Even though I have the Tab 2 7 inch WiFi model, I accidentally installed the P3100 rom which is not meant for the WiFi model. After I re-installed the correct P3110 rom, it worked flawlessly (also RC 1). Hope this helps some of the other people on this thread!

I am having the same issues. I thought it was just Google Search/Voice Search that was the problem, but it is actually the microphone in general as recording video doesn't record sound. I had the same GS issue with PAC Rom. and both roms I had to edit the services file and re-zip so that my cwm recognized p3110 as the correct device to install (status 7 error) everything else works fine. I just cant figure out how to get the mic working. I uninstalled google search, I've updated, I've tried to reflash cm 10.1 as well as gapps. I watched vids on how to change input settings on voice to text. Still nothing

I just noticed I did the samething. I must've hit the wrong button on my first flash when watching a tutorial, and then just assumed 3100 was for any other ones I downloaded. I am downloading the correct version now and will see if that fixes things.
good !

[Q] BSoD, any suggestion/solution?

So, something weird has been happening of late with my phone. During normal use, it suddenly hangs for a few seconds and then crashes, BSoD! I thought that was only exclusive to Windows. It has happened over 4-5 times now(in time span of a week) and I'm getting concerned. It certainly isn't ROM/Kernel issue as I've changed from Omni to Slim to CM, with stock kernel or others. The only thing I haven't tried is reverting back to Sony's stock ROM (because installing drivers on Windows 8 is absolute pain in the ass).
Here are a couple of images. http://i.imgur.com/9VtrxHl.jpg; http://i.imgur.com/E24EC2f.jpg (Please ignore the smudge )
Does any of you have any suggestions or any idea what the problem could be about? H/w?
With which rom you is this happening? To me it happened to me while using carbon 4.4
Enviado desde mi C2105 usando XDA Premium HD app
It used to happen to me on CM11 every once in a while, but I've been on Omni for the past 3 weeks and I've never encountered any BSOD's here
Oh and I think you meant 'stock' rom not stoke lol

I originally faced it on Omni, then switched to CM. Still facing it I'll do a full wipe and try. I haven't tried reverting back to Sony's stock ROM yet. And yeah, thanks for pointing out the typo.

You can try flashing the stock firmware(I'd recommend the latest), then doing a clean install I believe that would fix it. Also you might wanna delete those bsod error dumps. They might eat up your storage, idk where they're located though :L

Tried finding them, they sure don't consume large memory or I'd have noticed. Yeah just downloading the stock ftf and figuring out xperia drivers on Windows 8.
Edit: Just saw that the crush dumb was indeed of considerable size. 1.05GB.
Its a common problem in kitkat based rom. can't avoid unless you move to stock

Thanks for telling me that! I actually hadn't faced it before and in last week I kept facing it again and again so thought it might be something to do with H/w, my friend who also has XL isn't facing it. I'll move to stock if it keeps happening.

In the External SD CARD, this BSoD problem happened to me as well at that time i was on CM11. I thought my phone got bricked but i was wrong, i pulled the battery out and then everything worked just fine and there were no issues Regarding BSoD after that, PS-I am still using CM11 Nightly Release!
I faced it when using CM Nightly, Never faced it again on Candy Kat give it a try.
