[Q] TF700T strange brick - Asus Transformer TF700

Hi guys!
I have a TF700T... and i used to follow Cromi-X JB... Then i changed to 4.4 Cromi-kk... and it started looping...
I've then tried to flash Cromi-x jb back again and the boot loop continued...wiped out cache/data and still nothing... re-flashed rom and it entered on an Android Menu said that the system was currupted and had to get back to recovery to flash stock... now i can't enter de icons boot to enter recouvery... every hard reset/ shutdown just goes directly to CWM and android Dude shows up trying to reset but it stays dad way forever... can't do nothing
help ?
The only think i see after tryind to enter recouvery is what u see in attach jpg...
thanks!

Bootloader?
Recovery?
Looks as if the recovery is still trying to finish something. Did you interrupt a wipe or format?
Do you have adb access in recovery?

Helpppp, I brick my TF700 and JB

after JB update i install TWRP then i remember that i shouldn't use it until a new update. I wanted to do a factory reset but having a custom recovery would not let me do it. I was looking for a guide to restore stock bootloader, it didn't work completly cause i still had TWRP has recovery. After that i notice that i did get 4 icons, RCK-android -usb - data wipe. after factory reset wasn't still working, i press data wipe to see if that works and now i don't get anything more than TWRP recovery (which doesn't work with JB) but when i reboot my tablet holding volume down i don't get any message at all. Goes straight to recovery.
I somehow managed to do the EXACT same thing!! All I get now is TWRP, no matter what button combination I press at startup. I can't seem to get it to recognise my external SDCard either.
Anyone have any ideas? Our tablets are dead in the water!!! :crying:
Try using fastboot + one of the system blobs that asus has posted on its website.

If you are able to enter fastboot, (it's the USB icon of the 4), you may be in luck, you could for instance try intalling ClockworkMod Recovery, which is compatable with Jellybean, you could try flashing a stock firmware... I wouldn't start using my tablet as a coaster just yet...

as far as i understand eduardmc he's NOT able to enter fastboot...i got exactly the same situation here - only twrp 2.2.2.1 or apx-mode with volume+, no other boot-options...
@nverhaar: i managed to mount my sd-card after reformatting it (fat32) fix permissions in twrp advanced menu and wiping evrything. no chace to install a new system though, when trying to flash www_epad-user-9.4.5.30.zip (or any other...) it starts finding opening installing but ends up with
assert failed:write_raw_image "staging"
E:error in (external ...zip
status 7
unable to mount /cache (tw_mount)
Have you tried to install the naked drivers to see if they recognize your device?

[Q] Help i think i bricked my system

So i got a new T F 300T yesterday and wanted to root it today.
I unlocked it and rooted it successfully. But then I tried installing a recovery. Installed CWM using fastboot. tried booting into it using RCK. It says booting into recovery mode and just reboots to OS. Installed CMW touch, same problem. Installed TRWP since i read that cmw has some problems. Now i used the 1 click root 1.1 to boot into recovery mode. The device now keeps rebooting. IT starts on the asus screen, then reboots again. So im stuck in a boot loop. When I press vlm dwn +power, it doesnt give me a menu anymore , instead it says that its rebooting into recovery mode and reboots again. Im freaking out right now, anyway to recover my device? Or is it 400 bucks down the dran? I dunno why this happened , since i am not new to flashing ROMs and stuff, and ususally test out new ROMs using my GNex. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi there, sucks to hear what happened..
I believe you haven't put in enough research, ASUS has a publicly available unlocker for the 300T, why did you use a 3rd party root app?
Can you still boot Android? If you have root and your recovery partition is broken, there should still be a way to overwrite the recovery partition.
If not, this basically looks like a brick, unless you can hook up a debugger during the boot process somehow.
Someone with in-depth knowledge of this device might be able to help you out further, I'm just theorycrafting here.. Best of luck!
I would try using fastboot to reflash stock firmware, which you can download from the Asus website.
You could also try getting into APX mode and using nvflash to reflash it.

Stuck in startup animation loop

I unlocked and rooted my tablet yesterday and everything appeared to be working fine. After using it for a couple hours and restarting it a few times it stopped working and is now locked in a boot loop. When I try boot the tablet it comes on and gets to the animation where the glint of light goes across the Asus logo but it does not finish and instead it stops there and I get the moving circles at the bottom. I've left it running there for several hours and it just hangs.
I've tried erasing the data and booting to linux but the same thing happens when I try either of those.
I've also tried flashing a number of different ROMs, but all that happens is it starts installing and then I get the Android guy on his side error screen.
I hadn't done anything to the ROM and was still running 10.6.1.14.4. I even downloaded that same ROM from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2266519 but I get the same error message when I try flash that ROM.
I would really, REALLY appreciate any ideas at all - and thanks in advance for any suggestions.

this gonna sound odd but i had exact same prob when i rooted and flashed chromix rom. it went. what i did was flash it once with the rom with secure wipe, then i flashed again. and it got stuck at optimizing apps, then i tried reflashing couldnt get it to boot, what i ended up doing was using clockwork mod to factory reset my tablet, then had to restart, and reflash, this time it actually got to main screen. dont let it discharge/reboot for awhile as im bout to post a issue im having with it. but thats what i did to make it work for me.

I'm not sure I understand --- how do I get to the clockwork mod if i can't get past the startup animation? And I've tried a bunch of roms with secure wipe and i get an error from every one of them.
didnt you install clockwork mod first?

the thing i found showed me to installed the clockwork mod first before i did any flashing, i rooted device then i flashed once clockwork mod was installed, i had to root, then install rom manager and goo manager, from within there i installed the clockwork recovery script/mod then i proceeded to flash chromi-X DEODEX.
Did you flash the correct bootloader? I had the same problem, look for my posts in the last few pages of ChromiX.

Seems to me you installed Asus factory stock rom JB 4.2.1 (10.6.1.14.4), which means you have the latest bootloader, then you unlocked and rooted your device, however, you never installed any custom recovery like TWRP or CWM (clockmod). Now your device is boot looping. You need to boot into stock recovery by turn off your device, hold volume down and power button until you see white text on the screen, now release both buttons, you should see 3 icons (RCK, Android and wipe data). NOW you are in fastboot mode. Let me know at least you can get that far, before we continue....

buhohitr -- You're exactly right. I can boot into stock recovery. When I select Android or wipe data it goes back to the animation screen and hangs up. When I select RCK it goes to the Android guy and says installing update but then it show him fallen over and the word Error. I've tried RCK with a memory card that has a number of different ROMs on it but the same thing keeps happening.

Give this a try, the factory Asus firmware zip file that you downloaded, unzip the file, you should see another zip file, rename this new zip file to "EP201_768_SDUPDATE.zip" (without quotation), then copy it to the root of your sdcard then boot into stock recovery and execute the RCK again. Make sure you don't have any other zips laying around in the root of your sdcard.
You are truly a god among men.

THIS WORKED!!! Thanks so much. I was really worried I had bricked it.
So now one last question --- WHY did that work? Is there somewhere I could go to read up on this kind of stuff? I've tried surfing the XDA forum but there's a lot of stuff like this where someone gets there problem solved, but not much explaining why something worked so I can learn more about it.

Somehow the stock recovery was reinstalled on your tablet, thus letting this method work. It however does not on CWM or TWRP. All you did was manually reinstall a stock rom back onto your tablet. How it got the stock recovery is beyond me unless you flashed a stock ROM from CWM and didnt realize what you were installing.

Since the JB 4.2.1 upgrade, this is the most reliable method to install Asus full stock firmware. Also, since you're unlocked, let root the device by go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2230763 download the tool and root it. Once rooted, I suggest that you should install TWRP custom recovery, by download Goomanager from the market, open the app and tab on the 3 little boxes on the top right hand corner, select "install recovery scripts" , this will shutdown your device and install custom TWRP recovery script, once this installed, you can download "rebooter" from the market and this app has many options, one of them is allowed you easily boot into custom recovery.

TF300 Bootloop

Greetings guys,
I'm quite new here. I just received my asus tf300 from my brother as he dont want to use it anymore. The sad thing is my tf300 is bootlooping. I don't what happen but one day it is suddenly bootlooping at the ASUS white logo. I try to re-flash the stock ROM but fail. During the bootloader, it said something like this
"Android cardhu-user bootloader <1.00 e> released by "US_epad-10.6.1.15.3-20130416" A03 Key Driver not found.. Booting OS
I dont know what does that mean. My tablet will bootloop and I can't shut down the tablet as I need to wait until the battery dried off. I try to re-flash using the technique in master guide help ([GUIDE] How to manually update/restore firmware (Tf700, TF300, TF101, possibly TF201))
but it won't work. I try few firmwares but i still does the same thing. I dont know how to use the fast boot as there is no USB icon in my bootloader. So I dont know what to do. And of course my tablet has no warranty anymore.
Any suggestion? Btw, my device is locked, not installed recovery cwm or twrp. so I dont know what to do. I searched everywhere to fix my device by cant get it done
Hello ,
go to the Recovery and wipe cache and dalvik cache. And after that normally reboot and then it must work.
Fastboot will be start when you go to the recovery . The old USB Icon for Fastboot was removed by Asus by the update to 4.2 Jelly Bean.
Press Power button and volume Down for 10 sec to come in recovery. After that select rck and make the wipe cache and dalvik !

Cant RCK tf300t

Hi, Im trying to install cm 11.0 on my tf 300t, im trying to install TWRP. The boot loader is unlocked and the device is rooted. I tried get into the fast boot menu but cant. I hit Power and vol down and get into a new screen with a row of 3 icons. I see the RCK and hover over the button for 5 sec... nothing happens. I waited for 5 min an nothing happened. I then tried to hit the volume up button but that fails and re boots me into the OS. Im running 4.2.1. Is there a Fix for this problem? Can I install TWRP another way? (maybe through ADB?) Thanks

The first time you install TWRP, it should be through ADB (fastboot). Flash it from your computer. After that, you will be able to flash ROMs from the recovery menu on the tablet.

Now I have another problem, both TWRP and CWM don't have access to any files. They still boot up, but they don't have the ability to install or find any files or create logs. Im getting the errors saying nothing can mount.

Did you flash the 4.2 TWRP file? CWM has no version that woks with the 4.2 bootloader, except for the one in the flatline.img for NVFlash. If you flashed the regular TWRP recovery by mistake, follow the instructions here to recover, and start all over again. Remember to choose the correct recovery.

Ok, so i'm assuming I need the openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.0-tf300t-4.2.blob file. I DO have access to fastboot, can I just flash over the other Twrp recovery installed? Or do I have to follow the steps at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44244313&postcount=12 ? Thanks.
So I ended up flashing the blob file, and it did work. But when I tried installing CM11 I got an error and it shut down. Now I had a boot screen of the ASUS logo, flashing on/off every 20 sec. BUT I did make a backup, and was able to restore the system from that. Can anyone tell me what I have to wipe/do to install CM 11 on the tf300t? Or even cm 10.2 if its easier.
some (maybe) useful info
- I can boot into fastboot
- I can boot into the OS
- I do have a backup in case anything goes wrong
- I have twrp 2.6.3
