[Q] [PC] GPU Power Savings - General Questions and Answers

I realize most of the questions on xda about power consumption refer to android devices but hopefully you can help me with this PC Desktop Question. I have a some what beefy computer these are my specs:
- (CPU) i7 - 875k Unlocked @ Turbo Boost 3.8GHz
- (GPU) - GTX 780 ti
- (SSD) - OCZ Solid State Drive
- (HDD1) - 2TB Hard Drive 5200 rpm
- (HDD2) - 1TB Hard Drive 7200 rpm
- (RAM) - Corsair Dominator Platinum 32GB DDR3 @ 2133 MHz
- (Motherboard) - EVGA P55 SLI
- (PSU) - EVGA SuperNOVA 1300W
I also have x2 GTX 460s laying around.
So finally my question. Is there a way to save power when I'm not in need of using the GTX 780 ti by maybe installing a GTX 750 ti or EVGA GeForce GT 520 like GPU that uses less power and have the gtx 780 ti as a secondary card? Or does the GTX 780 ti save equivalent amount of power when processing less gpu intensive applications. Ultimately I want to save as much power when I'm just browsing the web and watching youtube so I would run the GeForce GT (for example) to run displays and some software(?Nvidia Control Panel?) to not turn on the gtx 780 ti until necessary or does that not exist? Feel free to share any other power saving tips even if they aren't gpu related. I have an Odroid XU+E Android Development Board that I use when I know I won't need my PC but the point would be to not have to switch between devices.

[Q] Android for GPS Navigator

Nowadays there are many GPS Navigator that use Windows CE. I was thinking, if it can run Windows CE, than maybe it can run Android too. But I cant find any site/forum that related to it.
1. Is it possible to run Android for this devices? For example:-
WayWay PAPAGO! R6033T
-5.0 inch TFT LCD screen with touch panel.
-2 GB internal memory storage
-Microsoft Windows CE .Net 6.0 Core version
-RAM : 128MB DDR2
-SiRF Atlas V, Dual Core
-500 MHz ARM11 + 250 Mhz DSP for GPS
-Flash: Built-in 2GB MLC Flash
-Resolution: 800x480
Wayway PAPAGO! Z1
-5.0 inch TFT LCD screen with touch panel
-SiRF Atlas V, Dual Core, 500 MHz ARM1136
-Microsoft Windows CE .Net 6.0 Core version
-GPS Receiver : SiGe SE4150
-RAM : 128MB DDR2
-Flash: Built-in 4GB MLC Flash
-Resolution: 480x272
2. If it is possible, can anyone provide some links where to get info/file/tutorial.
3. If not possible, then why? (And maybe how to make it possible).
Thanks

[Q] Possible to install Windows Embedded 8/Windows RT on Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 GT-P5110?

Hi
I'm thinking about if it would be possible to put any ARM Version of Windows Embedded 8 / Embedded Compact 2013 / Windows RT on my Galaxy Tab 2. I love Android, but sometimes i want to try something new and I know even when it's Windows it won't run normal Windows x86 Applications.
...The specs of the OMAP4430 Chipset:
Processor:
TI’s OMAP4430 applications processor (dual ARM® Cortex™-A9 cores running at 1 GHz each)
Graphics Accelerator – PowerVR SGX540 3D hardware accelerator
Video Performance – 720p stereoscopic 3D
Multimedia Accelerator – IVA 3 (1080p encode/decode)
Imaging Performance – 20 MP/s and 5 MP/s (dual cameras)
Memory:
up to 1 GB LPDDR2 RAM
Other I/O
1x USB 2.0 High-Speed Host
1x OTG
1x ULPI for connectivity to an external USB Phy
4x UARTS / 1 x RS-232
3x I2C / 1x I2S / 2x SPI
Operating Systems – Linux, Windows Embedded Compact 7, Android-ready
The Device itself has following specs:
PLS TFT capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors
Size 800 x 1280 pixels, 10.1 inches (~149 ppi pixel density)
16 GB internal storage
1 GB LPDDR2 RAM
WiFi (can't find any infos about it)
I have access to Windows Embedded from Microsoft DreamSpark, but i think they're only the x86 versions. Are there any chances to get Windows running on this tablet or is this simply not possible because of the bootloader or other limitations (like partitions, drivers etc..)?
If Windows RT can run on an old HTC HD2, why not on a tablet with a bit better specifications? (yes, i know the HTC HD2 was a Windows Mobile Device

There is no possible way to install any version of Windows on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. Windows is not open-source and can not be manipulated in such a way so it can install on any Android based devices. If they were to open the source code, I'm sure within a week or two it would be available, but I'm afraid it's under the control of Microsoft for now.
Sorry..

Okay i understand
Then I'll have to keep this tablet with Android, but there are ARM-Versions of Ubuntu and other Linux Distributions, should be able to install this native to the flash storage without running android in foreground and connecting to the Linux using VNC, but the problem should be that i have to find drivers for every single device like WiFi, touchscreen, etc.

HW for smooth Android Studio

Hi,
I am considering buying desktop pc and main purpose of it will be programming in Android studio. I was wondering about what is the most important part of HW ( because I will be built PC from part - not buying whole at all ). I know that AS is very sensitive to RAM ( and if RAM is not satifactory it concerns of HDD) but what about processor ? I am stuck between Intel i3 ( with 2 cores - 4 virtual) and AMD (with 6 cores - 6 virtual) - I read that power is almost the same in normal usage but what about AS - does it take advantage of more cores ?
REST HW will be :
16GB RAM DDR3
250GB SSD DISC
old graphics nVidia 9600 GT 1GB
old supply 500W
and some motherboard (besides of processor - aroud 100$)
