Hey - I don't use PPSSPP yet, but probably will if it supports Wii remotes. Does it? Cause that's the only controller I have, and Minecraft is the only game that's fun without a controller - I even play SNES games with my Wiimote.

If ur phone can support Wiimote, ppsspp does too. Go to setting -> control -> control mapping and do the rest.
Btw, damn it... Does your Xboost have sound? Mine have for the first 1 hour, and then become completely mute. Can u tell me how to fix?

Just a question. Anyway to reflash the rom without losing my Asphalt 8 and other apps? Does Titanium Backup work?
Started to think about making an ics-based ROM. Had to give up many cool mods (from Termin+ xposed), and face a lot of bug (apn, screenshot, sound) when i switched to Xboost.

MatsPunt had an accident?! WTF? (I really need to read the forums first then respond to quotes and mentions).
Titanium does work, but always double-check that you have backed an app up - I sometimes forget to back something up, reflash, then realize all my save data is gone.

OT: I will never use this device for gaming, just some mediocre, bad graphics, and light games that do not lag. My PS3 is more than sufficient. But we do have a Wii laying around, so I'll have a look.

I just need the games now - I have the app ready and a white Wiimote in my hand
I'm back. And with some tested games:
Alien vs Perdators (AVP): doesnt lag, but have graphical glitches.
Ghost rider: Blackscreen. Maybe im not lucky?
Metal gear solid: Both. F*ckin lag even on Xboost.
Monster hunter freedom unote: Just smooth.
God of War: Chain of Olympus: PLAYABLE. Fps: Min 10, Average 13-14, Max 21. Only the multitouch limit (damn sony) that annoys me.
God of war Ghost of Sparta: not tested. But people says this is lighter than the above ver, so it should be smoother.

i can only play dat game at half speed -.- Frame skipping only makes it choppier. I also tried Wipeout (another racing game), and it lags like Call of duty Ghosts on Intel GMA. Switched back to Asphalt 8.

BurnOut Dominator was pretty much the only reason I had PPSSPP. I loved that game on my PS2. (dreamy look)

Don't like the general idea of the game. It looks too much like those Facebook games like FarmVille and CityVille and whatnot. Plus I don't trust Supercell.

Rule #1: Search before posting.
Just kidding, im not a mod . anyway, u can find something by going to youtube, search "[game name] ppsspp xperia play". XP has the same hardware but more popular than XE. And if u see it runs at 1/2 speed even on a Note 3, then forget it. Play it on Windows instead.
And about the game, in github they said it crashes
More games:
Assassin Creed: yeah, Black Lag. FPS about 3-8. Deleted.
Burnout Legends ( @NSDCars5, your game): Half speed, without frame skipping (FPS about 15-18/30). FS and non-buffered rendering is recommended.
PES 13: FPS about 10-13. Play FIFA 14 instead.
NFS Most Wanted: Playable, but gameplay are poor. U guys should go to the bay and get the game on pc.
GTA Vice city: 80% speed, but crashes occasionally.
Lego star wars 3: Ultra lag. Went to the bay again, PC is better xD
@buinghia98 I actually wanted Dominator, not Legends. I guess I'll download Dominator and try.
And you don't need the PC - Most Wanted works just fine on E with CM10 (ICS lags a bit, for some reason).

hey folks, sorry for the trouble, but I'm wondering if anyone else is having any issues with Dungeon Hunter 2 performance with the Optimus 3D?
i mean, even in 2D mode! every other game i have and play is just fine! The included NOVA, Lets Golf2, Asphalt 6.. I even bought Samurai Vengeance II from the market and can play it brilliantly regardless of 2D or 3D (from 3D converter)
but for some reason Gameloft's dungeon hunter 2 is a bit choppy in 2D and very! choppy in 3D mode..
I just got the phone the other day and am quite happy with it, this was the first hitch I encoutered really.. I'm running stock Gingerbread 2.3.5 as I updated from official LG PC Suite
any tips? is it me, or some kind of bug or something? or is this game really THAT demanding

A search of the net shows if it is the hd version it needs 256 mb ram free at run time and o3d doesn't have that free usually so you will need to stop a few apps running.

dont think that should be an issue, really I checked around and 256Mb of RAM is the overall RAM minimum requirement for the phone, but that doesn't mean it needs 256 free

maybe I should try increasing VM Heapsize? dunno, it's a pitty because I actually like this game quite a bit but the low fps totally kill it for me!
I read it meant it needed that much free but perhaps I misunderstood. As for low fps you can temporarily disable cpu hogs such as live wallpapers and see if it helps.

already tried fiddling with VM heap, made no change.. also tried to hide libgles_android.so in a differente folder, also no go...
Strange that i have such an issue only with this title, everything else is just butter smooth throughout..
i noticed it happens mostly in that "free roam world-like" forest area whenever trees are being shown? inside dungeons its mostly smooth in 2D, but still not in 3D
unfortunately quite a large chunk of the exploring in this game seems to require roaming around those areas...
Sad panda here, 4€ for this?

mine runs just fine no fps probs no nothing. tried reinstalling it to see if it helps?also had some issues with it if i moved it to external sd as oer the tutorial in the forums so keep it in the internql sd card...

hmmm now this is weird! I have reinstalled it, but still the same problem persists
what version of the game are you running? mine says 1.0.4, and it's Dungeon Hunter 2 3D..
also, could you please share what rom you're using and if you are overclocked or something? ^^

same version and on stock gb rom without any tweeks or kernel. just removed loads of crappy bloatware and useless apps and processes. forest is almost as smokth as inside areas. finished the whole damn thing without any lag problems
Hmmm, do you have Chainfire3D installed and enabled? If YES, disable it. This game does *not* require it.

hmmmm weirder still, as there should not be much bloatware in my mobile since it was bought unlocked and independently from any carrier..
could you give me a clue to what processes or apps you removed?
By the way, i haven't installed chainfire3d so that's not the issue either
I've contacted gameloft support and they said they would provide me a new link to re-download the game.. Though I'm a bit skeptical that it should solve my issues let's wait and see though...
i've isolated the problem to areas where any piece of tree canopy shows up on screen, like an overlay...
if the area has no canopy in sight, the game is smooth!
any other thoughts?
my Dungeon hunter 2 lags alot in 3D but is perfectly smooth 2D Mode.
I'm not sure about Samurai Vengeance 2, but pretty much every single game (Regardless of how simple it is) starts to lag while converted to 3d for me. (<24fps)
well title says it all for the most part. i updated gta 3 to 1.3 and used defaults settings it still lags far too often. the fones rooted stock rom no bloatware i really dont know what could be the problem

I have Stock Rom with Doomkerl @ 1.2 Ghz and Resolution 100% Rendering distance 40% and Visoul effects on high and it is allmost completly smooth, only when i drive vey fast or there is very much going on on the screen the framerate drops down to about 15-20 fps for a few seconds...
Check your SD card read write speed with rom toolbox 2048kb is good speed also the SD card is big influence on this game

Do you use chainfire 3D? If yes remove chaifire drivers becouse chainfire couses gta to crash.
Yes it happen to me too it crashes after 1 minute of gaming it's so annoying and I confirm that I removed the chain fire drivers but the game continue crashing the only version that works for me it's 1.0 it's not possible to change controls in this version ? That will solve the problem

same issue with lag, and it crashes randomly..
The latest gta3 for hasnt caused no issues with my at&t stock rom and now the r800a north america rom.
I have the resolution at max, the view distance at defaults which is 40 something, and have the graphics to max.

I can affirm that i have no problems with the latest 1.3 gta version,
Im using v6 supercharger,SE-TWEAKED V0.4 rom with DL kernel v10 on 64 Baseband.
it works really better than before and the control buttons are replaced on more comfortable "playstation controller" like locations.
even if i drive into a wall the phone vibrates...
i have one thing to complain about:
You cant set blood on with the "full-effects" gta3.set file,and you cant hit poeple when they are lying on the ground anymore

You either have downloaded the German version, or bought the German version by mistake, as it's censored, so as not to steal money from dead bodies, or beat them either, and no blood.
The UK/US/Euro version's aren't like that..
i've the update for 1.3 and still nice playable on me ,i think you must decrease your home screen and widget ,they can made some game lags because they use many rams ,setting in 30 draw distance and 95 resolution

UNINSTALL THE CHAINFIRE3D DRIVER THROUGH THE APP
Dont just delete the app, use the app to UNINSTALL the DRIVER
This makes GTA3 1.3 work 100%

I've got a little problem on gaming. When i play the HD games from gameloft like gangstar rio: city of saints or gangstarMV after 3/4 minutes of playing i'm getting an error like: sorry but the "name of the game" has been interrupted. But games gta3, asphalt6 brother in arms and so on works just fine.
I have the CodeNAme android 1.4.0 with matr1x kernel v.17, (even oc to 1.3Ghz and performance governor stiil does the same) could it be the rom or something??

Hmm thats weird. To be honest, I have never had any problem playing those games on my Stock NS. Currently I am running CNA 1.4 with Matrix 17. Have you tried to reinstall the rom?
1) re installing the rom might help to get rid of any unwanted settings that you might have accidentally done.
Yep, even tryed 3 diferent roms to check that out, and its stays the same. Maybe because of the files. Just try to buy the game again and see if it works.

Im a user of SG II+ from just a month.
The problem that I have is after buying and installing "Sine Mora" for example, the GPU start to produce artifacts and you can't see the graphics at all. I know that SG II+ GPU is not that good but is it just me or you also have gaming issues with the new games?
It's not just "Sine Mora": Lone Ranger for example can't be played too.
To be said, the phone is not rooted or customized yet because of it's warranty. So I'm using stock 4.1.2.
Any ideas?

Well people are running Asphalt 8 : Airbrone without any jerk or lag or poor performance and it almost runs all the game successfully. The GPU in S2+ is really good and performs well. We all have/had phones with warranty but still rooted it. You can get your warranty status back if you go through the forums. I haven't tried out these 2 games you mentioned. I'll download them today and try and revert back to you

I'm starting to think that mabye my GPU is defective...
EDIT: Just bought NFS Most Wanted. Works like a charm. Graphics are perfect, no lag, no freezing, no artifacts. To be honest Sine Mora was downloaded cracked. Maybe that's the problem. When I get my salary I'll buy it from market and hope it will work fine.
Well yes Cracked app could be the problem. Or maybe 4.1.2.
For Instance Modern Combat 4 had a bug that the gun was invisible. After updating to 4.2.2 the gun is back

I have no idea why it says that ..
I tried on 4.2.2 Non NFC. It works like a charm. And at the very first attempt. Its around 2.5GB.
I have been using mmx a110 for over a year and half. In the beginning i used to play gta liberty city and temple run and graphic intensive games on ics stock rom but since i have shifted to 4.2.2 based phoenix rom with bb kernel latest and project mod boost, i am not able to play games like them smoothly and tried to play fifa 14 but it lagged badly.
I have over 1000 apps and games combined and my 32gb card got filled. i thought lack of space was the reason for this lag so i emptied it but no difference. now still i find no difference. all heavy games lag.

Just used entropy seeder and I can tell now for sure that there is a HELL of improvement in performance. Small but heavy games are lagless and only some heavy games hang that to rarely eg. Badland. Fifa 14 worked with only 2 lags that too was minor. But still it doesnt even compare to high-end phones. I think i will just get one of them in a few months... seriously I have had it with local phones.

It means that it has failed to verify license .Clear the data of apk and try again with internet connection.
Btw Canvas 2 has a good old chipset MTK6577 but its GPU is PowerVR SGX531 like a granpa in wheelchairs.Its too weak so u cant expect to play asphalt 8 that smooth but u can play with lags.Use GLtools to ;- Disable antianalysing
reduce texture and resolution
Try Mipmode and fake cpu and gpu.But its FCs on some applications.
I can run NFSMW with 1x1 texture very smoothly.So give a shot
ICS is not resource hunger like JB.If KK come maybe v can run those games cuz of ART
Now about swaps;- swaps does not increase the RAM.Its substitute for Paging and Processed Cache of application.It does not increase ur performance by 50 or 75%.I use 256mb of swap and i hardly get 125 of mb filled.So 1GB of swap is useless.Try increasing ur Swapiness
