The Mistery of the Disappearing Dialer (4.4.3)

I don't know if this happens to anyone else:
When I open the phone app and click the dialer shortcut I get a blank screen. I have to go back and forth once to get the dialer to show.
(I'm using Franco's r53, if it matters).

Do you have animation turned off in developer options?

Now here is a bug which should be noted to Google.... I could recreate the problem even in stock 4.4.3 dunno about other KK version.

Pull to Refresh Sound

Anyone know what the sound file that is used for "pull to refresh" is called and where it's located?

I don't hear a sound when using stock app that has a pull to refresh such as the stock email.
Other apps have a sound but it's app specific like Twitter and gplus

Maybe it's rom specific. There's a check box in settings but I don't remember if it was there in the stock rom or not.

EDIT: I looked at a stock M8 and it's there too, so it's a HTC feature.

Text has no lock screen notification or vibration.

Hi. My wife has an S7, it just started where incoming texts don't have vibration or lock screen notification. She has looked (I'm at work) and can't find any settings which should affect this. Any ideas to try? Thank you.

Message preview doesnt work

Hey guys,
I cannot seem to figure out whats wrong. It wont show message preview, just tells me there is a new message - sms or whatsapp. It was working fine, but I had to do full phone reset and now something is missing

You should check if you have activated the Show notification in the face recognition options.... With this, all the notifications will show only if your face was recognized...

I have face recognition disabled.

App Bug Error while marking forums or sub-boards read

On the forum tab, the XDA app offers to mark whole forums (under "Your devices") and sub-boards (under "Watched") read by swiping the forum/board title right and then tapping "Mark read":

But when I try to do this, I am presented an error message on the lower screen edge:
I ran into this behavior since day 1 of the new XDA app and on several devices. So it is safe to assume that it is either broken for everyone or at least user specific.
Can somebody confirm?
