Is it possible to get only 3g on a 3g phone by switching it with a LTE sim card from sprint, and NOT activating it with them (not telling them the switch)?

Is my XDA IIs 3G?

not
So if i put a 3G o2 sim card that i have in it what will happen?
You phone will work, that SIM card just enables you to use a 3G phone as well as other non 3G frequencies.
but some operators like the company 3 seem to block their sims from working in non 3g phones

Copying 3G SIM Cards

I just bought a 3G SIM card from AT&T who is not my carrier but I do have an unlocked TyTn. My current carrier doesn't support 3G yet but will do so in the near future.
Is it possible to copy or clone my current SIM card onto the AT&T SIM and get 3G services while roaming on a 3G network? If so, how can it be done? Or is it even possible?
Thanks!

Lte sim card

hEy peeps i have a quick question, how do i know if my sim card is lte?and do i need a lte sim card to get lte speeds
NO because when i get this from sgs2 they used same sim. SO for me no! but do a speedtest and you will know.
If your connecting to lte it will say lte underneth the 4g icon. See atached photo
If you got a 4G SIM (HSPA+), then your fine. They just need to provision your account with the LTE plan, and it'll connect.

[Q] LTE on Straight Talk?

So articles have been appearing here and there about how Straight Talk has began quietly support 4G LTE on their AT&T-based SIM cards, and I just happen to have an AT&T-based Straight Talk SIM in my One S (S4). It's unlocked and works just fine on AT&T's 3G networks, and I noticed when I first put in my new SIM card the magical option "GSM / WCDMA / LTE auto" appeared under Network Mode, but just as a tease. Before I call Straight Talk and have LTE activated and possibly have to buy a new SIM card, I was wondering if I'd even be able to use this on my T-Mobile based phone. I remember being able to use 4G no problem when I had actual AT&T service, but can't say for sure whether or not it was LTE.

[Q] Non-jetpack on Verizon LTE

If I have an unlocked, non-Verizon, LTE device that supports Verizon's LTE network frequencies and, let's say, get a Verizon tablet with a data plan, then put that SIM into said phone, I should be able to connect to Verizon's 4G LTE network through the phone, right?
