Phone relocked to Tesco - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Guys,
I have a problem with my Moto G 8gb that was originally on Tesco mobile. I unlocked the phone using an ebay code when I received it and have been using it as a backup with my Vodafone sim, however I recently put my Orange work sim into it and the phone appears to have been relocked to the Tesco network. My Voda sim no longer works and neither do my GG or Orange sims, the only one that works is the original Tesco sim. The problem is, the phone is not prompting me for the network unlock code when rebooted.
Previously I was running C-Rom but have reverted to stock (4.3 from original backup) to no avail. Any help would be gratefully appreciated since I can't find a valid reason as to why it won't prompt me to enter the network code again.
Thanks
Si

[Q] SIM doesn't prompt for unlock code in 4.4.4 GPE ROM -- how to unlock?

I have a 16 GB Tesco UK Moto G that is locked, and I want to unlock it. But when I insert a foreign SIM (from O2 Ireland) I get no prompt for an unlock code. Instead it just says "Emergency calls only." I've contacted several of the online unlock code suppliers and they could not find unlock code in their database but then I have paid for more expensive code from Simon Green on ebay and he sent me that unlock code. I am on GPE 4.4.4 and UK tesco SIM is working fine but I am getting Emergency calls only with every other SIM card. I have tried 3 different SIM cards from different providers and they work fine in my second Moto G. Is there some way I can get this phone unlocked ?
maybe using stock rom from carrier or stock motorolo rom
or put another sim and wike data to see what happens
i really don´t know
i unlocked my moto g using stock 4.4.2 motorola at the time

[Q] Reflashed Moto G and still locked to Vodafone

Hi,
I have unlocked the bootloader of my Moto G and have gone back to the Retail GB ROM but it's still not accepting any other SIM other than a Vodafone SIM.
The ROM states it is the Retail GB version and I know it's flashed.
I thought this would overwrite any NUC requirements.
What am I missing?
Unlocking the bootloader and network unlock are not the same thing. You have to buy a network unlock code off ebay (£1 or so.)
Thanks! I have requested the NUC but one thing I have noticed is that I don't get asked to enter one.
How do I force the NUC screen?

SM-G930F became locked after installing custom ROM

*** UPDATE: it's a SM-G930FD, rather.
Hello,
I have a SM-G930F which I got from a carrier (Smart Telecom) here in the Philippines. It came unlocked on both SIM slots... after flashing the SuperMan-Rom I am unable to use my other SIM (Globe Telecom) on this phone. At first it was asking for a SIM PIN which I don't remember setting and eventually it locked me out asking for a PUK, I contacted my telco for the two PUKs (1 & 2) but neither work. Put the non-working SIM on my old phone and it works.. got the SIM replaced thinking a new one would work but it's still asking for the PUK even from a fresh SIM. Could it be that my phone became "locked" after flashing? Kindly need your help!
Thank you!
Tried flashing stock again?

Sim Network Unlocked S8+ relocked after updating ??

Hello,
I have a Japanese S8+ (SC03J) that was sim-unlocked a bit more than a year ago. I used it on stock firmware, then rooted it, and kept using it.
I was going to update it to 8.0 through this custom firmware :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...g9550-g9500-phoenixo9-crf2-everytime-t3819774
After successfuly flashing it, when I put my sim card back, he automatically asks me for a network unlock code, thing I never been asked before.
I came back to stock firmware but it is still not reconizing my SIM card, and asking me for an un lock network code.
The SIM works completely fine on my other japanese phone.
Is it something that happened to someone else ? Any idea on how to fix it ?
I do not think it is a hardware problem as I didn't do anything unusual.
Any ideas welcome !!
Thanks!

Phone network locked after flashing through Odin?

Hi,
I have a Samsung S8+ which I bought unlocked to any network, I have used it on EE and Vodafone. I had rooted the phone, flashed different roms etc no problem. After I got my new phone, I tried to get the sim out of the S8+ and the tray was stuck, left with no choice I forced it out but this broke the sim card reader as it wouldn't read any SD or Sim.
I flashed a stock 9.0 pie UK version (Unlocked) to the phone through Odin and got the sim card tray replaced, now it reads SD cards and my sim but it says network locked and is asking for the NUC code, the phone was unlocked before and now it isnt. I've contacted Vodafone for a NUC code but the code isn't working (says incorrect code), I've tried flashing stock 8.0 too, also not working and still asking for the NUC. Strangely, it isn't working on either EE or Vodafone Sims now.
Could the sim card tray being replaced effect this? Is it the software flashed through Odin?
Any help will be appriciated please.
Thanks
Sam
Is it possible not only the SIM tray but the whole motherboard was replaced? It would make perfect sense then. Check whether your IMEI and S/N match what was on the box the phone came in.

Thanks for the replies. Same IMEI which is strange, I've tried all UK sims and it's still locked. It says sim locked enter unlock code now but on every sim

It is strange normally sim unlocks are not undone by odin flashing. Sim unlocks lie in a non flashed partition
