Hi all I found this app around the forums it flashes zips without a recovery it will be most useful to j and e users as we have no cwm for locked bootloader all is needed is a rooted device with busybox installed. Make sure busybox is installed to /system/xbin/ not /system/bin/ or the zips won't flash. Make sure to remove the spaces between the words of the zips name and if its really long make it shorter or you will get an error invalid zip. Happy Flashing

I think he was right to post it here, this is "Themes & Apps". It's an app share, yet, still an app, it would have no reason to be in General section. All app shares usually happen in the Themes & Apps sections of phone forums...
Thanks for the share, Gav!

A trick? What kind of trick? Why would it be a trick?
It's just a guy, sharing an app, that could be usefull for many other users.
Some might have found the apps my themselves, some might have never found it.
Some might need it, some would never use it.
I don't see your problem here. It's perfectly legit. Perfectly normal.
Please just quit trying to make a problem out of it, because that is what your doing, I don't care if it's on purpose or not.... If you don't find the app usefull, just ignore this post, but if you know atleast a bit of XDA's rules, than you know this post is in the right section.
Thanks for reading, sorry if I offend you with any of this, I don't mean to.
Regards, Drago

Do you have the latest APK that was a bug and he re-released the proof of concept and I've found if busybox is installed to system/bin instead of system/xbin it won't flash.

Thanks to @hidea MOTO X is supported in my app.
UDN now has 2 navbar-hiding methods(v0.17):
-Safe via xposed (works everywhere except x86 devices)
-Dangerous way(by modificating build.prop). <-- this doesn't work on lots of devices including MOTO X, but does work on x86.
If you interested in trying it out, check these links:
Community Edition on XDA
PRO version in Google Play
LITE version in Google Play
P.S. Note that as of moment when I posted this message latest PRO and LITE versions are not yet appeared in Google Play, it will take ~2 more hours before v0.17 appear there.

Hello guys! I'm the developer of Ultimate Dynamic Navbar. That's awesome app, but curently it does not work on MOTO X
Theoretically I found the way to make it work with your device, but I need to test it
So I creating this thread.
Is here anyone interested in helping me?
To help you need have cwm(or similar installed) + superuser on device.

Ok, cool
Since this method is individual yet, we need to go private:
mail me: pavel.sikun(at)gmail.com
I'll tell you what to do there
P.S. I just tested this method on several nexus-devices and 1stgen kindle fire - it works well.

I really want to try this... But I don't want to break my phone
I followed the instructions and the app kind of worked, but it didn't remove the existing navbar. It instead made a new one on top of it. I read the FAQ and didn't see anything on this.

Guys, don't use dangerous method on moto x, cuz it may Brick the phone. Hide navbar through xposed module, that's safe.
P.S. BusyBox is required only for dangerous method. I forgot to remove checks after I added safe way.
I did the safe method. And it works fine. You just have to mess around with xposed and soft reboots for everything to work.
what is the easiest way to install busybox? i have framework and stuff running right and SU lists UDN as having root rights. so i think busybox is the only thing im missing?

Nevermind, I'll remove this message for this, who use xposed to hide navbar. BusyBox is needed only for dangerous method.
Update:

Backup needed?
I'm pretty new to this matter, so excuse me if I ask stupid questions... Do you recommend a backup before running the app or is it not necessary? also, do I need a program to do a proper backup or do I just copy-paste card and phone memory into my pc and then copy-paste it back? Can a rooted device be connected to a pc or will this crash the phone?
Also when I tried to download framaroot I was asked to complete a survey - yes the kind of surveys that charge you an amount of money per week - is there any way to get past it? I don't want an untrusted source to get my phone number. Although they say you can cancel any time, I don't trust this kind of activities...
However, older versions, 1.9.0 and below are available w/o survey (idk if they ask for one when you run it). Should I opt for an older version? Is this ok?

Just Google for the latest version of the Framaroot, it's every where on the net, you don't have to get it from the web asking to complete the surveys.
Rooting by Framaroot is very safe. Backup isn't necessary as far as I did. My device status in still OFFICIAL upon rooted by it.

SONY XPERIA L ALL ROOTING METHODS INCLUDED
For those who want to root your Sony XL & failed... I've some tips & tricks that may be useful :good:
At first,
the best one is the DoomLord rooting method,
1.Connect the phone in debugging mode via USB. To enable debugging mode, go to Settings => Development => Check "USB Debugging".
Wait for the drivers to install. Happens automatically on Windows 7 and Windows 8.
Download the zip file below and extract it.
After extracting, run "Run.bat". Admin rights usually not needed.
Follow On-Screen instructions.
Partial Root complete. If the exploit fails to run, try running again.
And then just run the batch file
Thats it
Rooted [Said that it is working only on JB 4.1.2]
And then,
Motochopper method,
even in this method, the same instructions are to be followed & the batch file is to be executed
It works perfectly. If it doesn't, just give it another try or else just check the other methods
I've attached some more methods & download links of them

Xperia M2 Root
There is a guide for rooting the Xperia M2, its called Towel Root . Its easy and it only takes 2-3 minutes to root, I did it on my M2 and it works fine
I unlocked bootloader and after that I downloaded Towelroot. Now it works perfect.
Towelroot works. I suspect that some just install the app, but then don't execute it.
After executing it no need to reboot. Install FlashgordonBB, unselect it's safemode, install SuperSU-v1.99.zip with it, reboot with the phone (not through Flashgordon) ... and enjoy.

I’m curious, is there any reason/benefit to using this Flash Gordon app to install the SuperSU zip as opposed to just using the steps provided by CeBits on the root guide:
How to get the latest SuperSU to avoid the update prompt
First uninstall the SuperSU downloaded from the PlayStore.
1. Visit Chainfire's SuperSU threat here on XDA
2. Scroll down and find the "CWM / TWRP / MobileODIN installable ZIP" download link
3. Download the file and extract it to your phone/PC
4. Once extracted, you will find the latest "superuser.apk" inside the "Common" direcroty
5. Transfer and install the APK file on your phone
Or are both methods basically just the same?
