Android Kitkat flavour ROM For Karbonn A12+.(NOT Orignal kitkat yet just based on some chinese stuff of jellybean)
karbonn A12+ is a MTK6572 device which come with jellybean stock and 512 MB RAM.
from long time i was searching for upgrade.
Finally got success to get some stuff from chinese mobiles and shift them into Karbonn and they working fine almost..
(Not orignal)
Fixed maximum bugs those i can.
but still few bugs are there but you can use this as regular basis..

(This is ported from samsung clone so have lot of Apps those are not usefull in karbonn so They are still there because don't know how to manage all system..as i removed few of them then system got crash so i didn't touch them...Few apps removed)
known bugs
>Once you shutdown phone then it can't boot again unless battery pull out and inserted again
>only one IMEI is reading(both SIM and networks are working but as we use code *#06# for IMEI details then it show only first IMEI)
>With every boot brightness level will change(may be related with booting problem)
>Some time gallery app got crash
>Superuser is there but i think that is not working properly
>terminal emulator not working
>unable to change model number for karbonn A12+
Other bugs may be there but you can use it regular without any problem things.
We need developer to handle this bugs and develope clean kitkat for karbonn A12+.
Steps for install..
1)Download resources from given link
2)You karbonn A12+ should have custom recovery or CTR recovery.(tested with CTR recovery)
3)Put the zip file in your sdcard and reboot in recovery by pressing power key + volume up togeather.
4) in recovery wipe data and factory reset and wipe dalvik cache.
5) choose install zip and install zip file...
6)reboot..done

yes of course really a great work battery back up is just amazing it gave me 7.30 hrs of continuous movie play back with brightness 20% which is really a great thing its a gem among rom we expect the update patch very soon....:highfive:

I claim this because -

You can check this by viewing app info of system app. The version is clearly 4.2.w
2)You cannot install apps that are compatible with only 4.4.2
Do check this by downloading and install such app. You will get error.
3) There are many other things that suggests that it is 4.2.2
However overall the ROM is superb with minor bugs which can be eliminated by newer releases.:good:

This ROM runs quite well on this device.. I just got it for xmas, and I have no complaints after switching to a custom Rom (Hate stock/bloatware)..
Hopefully Acer pulls the trigger in the next quarter on 4.2
thanks 2.1 crashed much specially adroid keybord.
v2.3 seems to work fine. I have not find any errors.
one suggestion base it on US version I think it has more language in it.

I'd make a backup, and try re-installing again. Make sure to wipe system, data (factory reset) and caches...
to install this rom your phone must be rooted and must have recovery installed ...if you haven't visit http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2147566 and later continue here...

This is an direct installation...no port has been made for it or any special tweaks applied to make it for celkon a200 indian version...but anyways it has been found working on the celkon a200 device with no problems....

2) extract it
3) Now Install the mediatek drivers (download from any site, Google it)

Tried it.. The phone was stuck at boot logo for 15-20 mins, Is it normal??
Anyway.. I removed the battery, rebooted into recovery and restored my backup.. So no damage done

Please help. I think the rom messed up my sim card somehow. CM 11 doesnt regonize it anymore. Works fine in my SGN and got it to work under Color OS by removing pin. CM tho is messed up. :/ Running CM as my daily driver.

Managed to get it back working by flashing stock and reflashing everything. Weird bug tho
After Installation Rom is looking good but... there is no Signal and i can't modify the Mobile Settings (greyed out). Help.....

Analyzing given screenshot looks like battery is terribly bad.

Same here, And the OP is not responding, This ROM looks promising so i am waiting for help, so i can try it. I want to leave MIUI, the heat issues and battery drain are just killing my vibe.
When I try to install the rom it fails and says I need to update binary, what does that mean and how do I do it?
Could I solve the issue by switching recovery to a different one?

When I try to install the rom it fails and says I need to update binary, what does that mean and how do I do it?
Could I solve the issue by switching recovery to a different one?

as far as i can read on internet, you need older recovery, because its based on cm 10. Or just leave it, it will install, just wait a minute
Google play store doesn't work. I downloaded it, but it opens and closes. I also tried to flash different gapps. No help.
And the lock screen is missing.
This is chinese version of coloros. It's the problem but is there any advice?

I guess it would be laggy .cuz almost all x64 roms on 1gb variant lag after some usage
what lewa os version is this?lewa os 6 or lewa os 7?
I'm interested bcoz lewa os 7 has 3d touch same as ios
Network 2g only to 2g/3g/4g not change .. Data not work..
All things are very good. I'm become fan of this rom. Smoth interface good looking and much more. But only one thing battery percentage is changing simultaneously. So plz bro do something for that. Plz...

try this to set it to 4G add/edit this line in build.prop
#this is to set default network as 4G.. Remove it if you cant change network mode from lte
telephony.lteOnCdmaDevice=1

add/edit these lines accordingly in build.prop
# DATA
ro.use_data_netmgrd=true
persist.data.netmgrd.qos.enable=true
#if data totally doesnt work change dpm1 to 0 or vice versa

Have a look in sim card settings or change your ROM
