[Q] Need to exchange my M8 - Verizon HTC One (M8)

Need to exchange my M8. I have it rooted but have the red on the splash screen hidden and the bootloader flag back to say LOCKED. Should I flash a stock recovery or just delete superSU and call it a day. Thanks in advance for the help.

you could wouldn't hurt i myself just deal with 1800# since stores dont have on site techs

You might as well just quickly flash the stock recovery and unroot just to be on the safe side. It will take you less time than the mods you flashed to hide the S-off and unlocked bootloader status. That mod is sick though! Love to be able to go into bootloader and see S-On and Locked status when it's actually fully unlocked w S-off. Lol Gotta love the devs here!

Does anyone know where I could grab a stock recovery to flash over adb.

[Q] Stock image for SCH-i925 Verizon Model

I am trying to get back to complete stock, anyone know how I can get a Odin image? Thanks
I'm 99.9 percent sure the only published firmware for your hardware is actually the GT-N8020. I to have the sch-i925. This is the verizonized GT-N8020 sold everywhere else in the world but the US. Bad news is we are stuck until Adam Outler and team unlocks our bootloader.
Once this is acomplished and a proper recovery installed we will have the options you seek.
Good news is Adam received his I925 just a few days ago and is activly working with a team to resolve the issue.

I have a an unopened SCH-I925 if your just looking for original files that you maty have edited such as build prop or apns etc. Otherwise you should just reset device. Only files you have modified with root in the system are not restored with factory reset.

Drozek, could you describe a little bit further... If I understand correctly, and if I don't please correct me, the only actions I have taken towards unbrick is through oddin's mode, flashed a couple of firmwares I found at sam's firms but non one worked.

UPDATE: Soft unbrick Verizon I925
Guys here is a small update on my case.
Good News: The soft bricked I925 is once again working with certain limitations. I had mariosraptor (post credits to him) install a clean non verizon N8020 version on it.
Bad News: Despite the fact that sim card gets recognized, it does not gets activated. Another possible problem "haven't yet figured out" is GPS.
Things to clear out...
I really don't know if I had the bootloader changed while trying to recover it at the beginning. In Odin's download mode, the model refers as GT-N8010 and not as SCH-I925. Members can validate thought...

Odin Stock Image?
Were you able to use the TWRP as an odin image or convert it to one? I haven't figured out how to use this since I don't have TWRP on my tablet. Thanks!
I purchased an I925 on Swappa, and before giving it to my wife I want to revert it back to stock.
Did we ever get a stock image posted somewhere/ I didn't want to PM drozek and beg for one if it has been posted elsewhere first.

I haven't been able to find a stock image anywhere else. The one drozek has is a TWRP version, and I haven't been able to get it to work because I don't have TWRP loaded on my Note 10.1 =(
I read there's a way to convert TWRP images into odin flashable images, but haven't figured out how if it is indeed possible.

I would help to be a tester as well! And I'm not sure how much this information helps, but a dev, Adam Outlier helped make CASUAL, which was the one click root for this device. After the OTA update, it no longer works due to a libusb -12 error or something. I tried doing as much research as I could and all I could come up with (not sure how accurate it is) is that the error is due to the computer not being able to gain access to the tablet to use heimdall. We've posted debug files on his page, but he hasn't responded not posted on that page in a while. Thanks so much for your help! :fingers-crossed:

Not sure if this is what you need.
I do not use twrp much & this is the 2nd mention that I have ever seen, & a more detailed hint/description of this trick. The op on this thread may apply to you also but this Quote & my Question is my point-that the clearing of the errors in twrp lets you continue the flash with out leaving recovery! I have never tried it.

any feed back on this? im at work right now or i would just test it myself.
Just flashed via hboot, it does seem to boot faster. Maybe the sound is better, I can't tell. But prior to flashing I had installed the HK MOD from @santod040 nusense thread. I'm going to go back into hboot and see if the adsp from this zip flashed over HK adsp
Edit: still has the HK ADSP in the hboot, it is definitely a faster boot than prior. Good job @sun_dream

It definitely sped up the boot with sinless. I'm sure it'll be much more noticeable with 4.4.3 sense roms.

@billplummer Just flash the factory image with fastboot. Download the image from the link and extract the .tgz file you download using 7-zip or winrar. You'll find a flash-all batch file in there. Just double click on that with your device connected to your pc and booted into the bootloader.

Mhm. Can we see the entire terminal output of the flashing process, please?
Also, run 'adb logcat -c', then reboot the device. after booting, post/attach the entire log, maybe there's some throttling in there.
Can you try running some benchmarks against the cpu and the nand? Perhaps we could compare to our devices, not many comparisons would be needed ofc, but maybe just give us an idea if there's really something wrong with the hardware - if the values obtained on the benchs are too different.

ARGH, of course I know what a toolkit is.
"I only know this -> factory img link" means I'll will only support people who DO flash stuff *MANUALLY*. That's why I asked for the terminal output of the flashing process, done *MANUALLY*. In part cos I don't believe the user, and in part cos I don't trust the toolkit to not just throw a "Unknown error ocurred" msg if something fails in the flashing process.
Got anything else useful to say? Like...
