Is there any definitive guide around? I managed to get root, but goomanager is down and i have no idea how to get TWRP onto the phone. I also would like to see guide on flashing to ND4 (If i even need to for AV 1.0?) If you could answer any of my questions thatd be awesome. Thanks.

Head on over to the official Victory thread at vmroms dot com. There you'll find everything you'll need. Recovery wise, lemme find u a working link... The latest recovery is not 100% usable yet due to the lack of selinux support...
Edit: getting to ND4 is also easy... Just go to settings and check for an update and it'll download and install. You just need to have ALL system items/apps and stock kernel and recovery. You should also retain your root during the update

No Data Wipe Install
This method assumes you already have MIUI and want to upgrade to a newer version without wiping all your data and apps.
1. Download Latest MIUI rom and matching language pack.
2. Boot into Custom Recovery.
3. Install the rom .zip and the language pack consecutively as any other install would go.
4. Select "Wipe Cache" then go to Advanced and select "Wipe Dalvik Cache". Reboot.
How To Install from Scratch
If you have 2nd Init installed already skip to step 3, if not start at step 1. These steps assume you already have flashed the Nordic Froyo rom to your Defy.
1. Download Defy 2nd init installer, easiest way is from market.
2. Run the 2nd init installer following the instructions closely.
3. Boot into Custom BootMenu by pressing volume down when device flashes a blue led at bootup. Set default boot mode to 2nd init.
4. Select Recovery, Custom Recovery. Choose "Wipe Data/Cache" option. Let finish.
5. Choose Install .zip from SD Card, select MIUI rom .zip and let it finish.
6. Let the rom boot for first time. It will be in Chinese but do not worry. Reboot into BootMenu again.
7. Select Custom Recovery, Install .zip from SD Card. Choose MIUI Eng Language Pack .zip and let it install. Let rom boot.
8. Notice some text is still Chinese, go to Settings, Language and make sure it is English UK or US. Boot into BootMenu and Custom Recovery one last time and select "Wipe Cache" then go to Advanced and select "Wipe Dalvik Cache". Reboot.
9. Done! Enjoy!

Nice to see such good structured threads. The red lettering is peraps a bit too alarming. Maybe add a FAQ section to link to answers in the same to avoid questions to be posted over an over again. Our hero Quarx could probably fix MIUI's gps in less than 15 minutes but he should be working on CM7.

- double tap on the clock on the lockscreen to start the music player
- hold home button while on the lockscreen to start the flashlight
- long press back key to kill app (set it in settings/system/button settings)

For me battery life is like on CM7 beta 4
Yeah battery life seems fine to me but that's due to them using pre cm7 beta 5.1 sources. The only real battery drain with cm7 was beta 5.1.

UNINSTALL OLD VERSION FIRST:
adb uninstall com.acs.updater
Version 1.3
What is the ACS Updater?
ACS Updater is an app for android devices that allows you to download and install custom roms, kernels, themes, and modems from the internet on the fly. It's very simple to use: run the app, select what you want to install. You will get a screen asking if you want to wipe cache / backup first. Select options, and hit OK. The file will download from the net to /sdcard/ACSDownloads, and when complete, will reboot into recovery and install automatically.
Backup and Restore can also be done via the app, as well as Installing from SD Card, and even Install from URL - put in whatever URL you want, and it will download and install (if you put in a URL to something that isn't a flashable zip, and try to install it, that's your fault.)
In future releases, there will be more goodies, stay tuned!
Notes:
If you choose not to wipe cache, and the flash goes bad, that's on you. It's there as an option, but I'm not going to force it.
If you hit an area (such as Themes), and it says nothing available:
Developer's have not submitted anything for your device
Servers are temporarily down - try again in a couple minutes
Try using the "Reset Wifi Connection" Option
This App depends on a custom -R-E-C-O-V-E-R-Y- KERNEL which includes extendedcommands
It's always a good idea to backup before flashing a new ROM
Developers:
Want your work listed in the app? Simply submit your info to the following links (whichever applies), and I'll get it added to the database.
Submit Modem
Submit ROM
Submit Kernel
Submit Theme
Submit System Tweak
Submit (Flashable!) Custom App
ChangeLog:
v1.3
Added Custom apps section
Added Tweaks (Mods) section
Added Reboot Recovery Option
Added Reset Wifi Connection Option
Added the ability to publish to ALL devices!
v1.2: Bugfix
Backup Before install was not working properly - Fixed
v1.1: Initial release
Backup
Restore
Download / Install
Install from SD Card
Install from URL
Wipe Cache
Known Issues:
"Nothing Available at this time" - This appears to be a combination of server issues (the current host may have a limit on how many sql queries can be run at a time....) and possibly http host resolution issues within the app. I have added a bit of code to resolve this, and a "Reset Wifi Connection" option. Use this, wait a moment, then try again
Booting into a blue recovery and not flashing - this is caused by a stock kernel. This app relies on the recovery that is in the kernel, NOT that one you installed (i.e. amonra, clockwork, bonsai, etc)- your kernel MUST have a custom recovery. If you are coming from stock, please flash a kernel before using this app.
To get it, head over to:

Everything works exept for camera. No reboot, which is most important.
How to install: Download "RASPAKUJ ME!.rar" file. Unzip all three files and copy them on SD. Go to recovery, wipe data/factory reset. Then go to flash zip, and choose "CM9-aokpbased1". When it's done, again go to flash zip and this time choose "mini_gapps-ICS". When it's done - reboot system now. When it turns on, fill up your gmail and name, and then install third file that you copied on SD which is "Google Play v4.0.27". Install google play and that's it.

does it support usb mounting?
can i use it to port to u8500?
Yes, it supports USB mounting.
Yes. I do not guarantee it will work, but you can try porting it.
Cronmod script!
It would be better to do it on "fresh" system.
You sould go to recovery wipe data, cache, dalvik, then flash rom, google apps and then patch1. Then "reboot system" and do the steps from below...
How to:
Download app and install it
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=9390248398092764054
Start it and touch "Activate".
To see if it works, touch "Verify".
Reboot system in recovery and flash this(this is cronmod script):
http://fbe.am/gwl
Open "Mounts and storage" and then format "SD ext", say yes, go back and "reboot system now".
Wait a little bit and that's it.

)
Don't use cronmod! It lags a lot!
Addon for S2E support
You need: 1. sd-ext partition
2. CM9-aokpbased.zip, Gapps, Patch1(from first post in topic)
3. and this
Code:
http://www.4shared.com/rar/7WA69eXz/AddonS2E.html?
This is .rar arhive. Extract this on your SD card!
1. Reboot in recovery and wipe data and dalvik cache
2. Flash rom(CM9-aokpbased1), gapps and patch1
3. Don't get out of recovery! Flash this: sd-ext_patch-signed-v11.zip
4. Reboot system now
5. When it turn's on install app that you downloaded, open it and click "activate" in it.
6. Reboot!
7. Start google play and download s2e app. Setup it how you like it.
8. Reboot system now.

Hello i am new one in all these i just did update to my phone to be to 2.3 and make and a partition in my sd cad ext2 to can free a little bit memory. But after the update the battery ends very fast and even if i make an ext2 partition and work with link2sd to connect many apps i still have problem to have free internal memory.
I wanna ask you if with your rom my battery can keep more than a day?
And your rom reorganize memory to have more free internal?
Something else i wanna ask you is why camera have problem you mean that with this rom i cannot take photos? Will you fix it in the near future? And this rom has greek language?
Last but not so important your rom has crt off?
Thank you and sorry for my english
Battery is weak on every rom. I charge my phone every 6h. For free memory on 2.3 rom flash this first:
http://www.4shared.com/zip/FiukKNcd/sd-ext_patch-signed-v11_1.html?
And then reboot and after that flash this:
http://www.4shared.com/zip/MbnqXbuM/to_sd-ext_patch-signed-v10.html?
This will only work if you have init.d. If you don't know if you have init.d install this app and "tap" activate:
http://www.4shared.com/android/6EF6gJU7/Uni-init_v10.html?
and do steps above.
You are doing this on your own responsibility.

this link http://www.4shared.com/account/dir/WDpOTJF4/_online.html#dir=WDpOTJF4 that you are telling me isn't working and you didn't answer me about camera. But before the update my battery lasts for 3 days without charge and now not even a day is very strange.

Good work Darko, but this ROM have questionable usability; I must say there is still lot of input lag in this ROM (you stated there is no lag) which is also present in all CM ROMs. Ambiental lighting sensor wont work, for proxymity im not sure. Also, phone restarted self-initially (to be honest only once). I did exactly what you said (base, gapps, patch, init.d, S2E) with respective order. There is hell of better, faster and more usable ROMs than any of CM for this device.
I forgot to say that sound is to quiet, or i just get used to volume booster in sergey's 2.3 ROM. And this ****ty EQ pops advertising.
Rom is crappy, install CM7, it's far better.

[TUTORIAL/GUIDE/HOW-TO] Full guide on how to flash a custom ROM on your Galaxy S6

~ Quick First Note: If anyone's here from the Telegram Group, I'm Mark y'know.
~ This guide considers you have the latest MM 6.0.1 base
Step 1: Rooting your device

Rooting your phone will void your warranty, so if you wanna do this make sure you don't have any warranty for your device, or don't, because today nobody cares about warranty!
1. Go to autoroot.chainfire.eu and download the zeroflte version
2. Put your phone in download mode by: Turning it off, pressing Power + Home + Vol Down keys at the same time
3. If it asks for anything, which it should, press the Vol Up key
4. Make sure you have the drivers installed on your PC, if not, please, download them and install them
5. Plug your phone in your PC, I suggest using the original cable, just so y'know, nothing explodes
6. Download a program called Odin, make sure to download any that is V3+, but I recommend the latest
7. Open Odin, select the AP option on the side, and locate your file, usually called CF-Auto-Root-something.tar.md5
NOTICE! This will restore your recovery to Stock
8. Load the file and click start
9. Don't worry if your device reboots constantly a few times, and takes a little longer to boot, it's normal
10. Check if you have the SuperSU app installed, if yes, you're all good
Step 2: Flashing a custom Recovery
Flashing a custom recovery is the thing that's gonna make it possible to even flash anything
1. Go to http://www.pocketpc.ch/samsung-gala...builded-thehacker911-android-6-0-1-g92xf.html and select wether you have the S6 or the edge
2. Do the same process as with the rooting process, though it will not automatically boot into the recovery, you have to do it yourself, but don't do it yet
Step 3: Unlocking your bootloader
You may be able to root your device and flash a custom recovery, but you aren't gonna be able to flash a custom ROM without unlocking your bootloader
1. Download the arter97 recovery, it's actually a modded TWRP, so it's gonna replace Philz, but you can always reflash Philz, because I heard that TWRP has some mounting issues, and your phone won't boot afterwards
2. Flash it the same way you flashed the CF-AutoRoot package and the Philz package
Step 4: Flashing a custom ROM
Before we flash, it's important that you consider your options. If you like performance, I'd recommend any Lite ROMs like: WanamLite and XtreStoLite. If you like to customize your device, I'd recommend OZOP, Griffin or CarHD. If you're a battery freak, try these: TN (Search on YanDisk) or Alexis.
1. Download the desired zip, also look if there's a second package, they'll often have these names in them: Update, Add-On, Aroma Add-On
2. Put the zip, or two zips in your Download folder in your Internal Storage
3. Power off your phone and boot in the recovery mode, do this by: Pressing Power + Home + Vol Up keys at the same time
4. When you're in the recovery mode, mount these partitions: Data, Cache, System
NOTICE! Don't mount the Internal Storage, or you'll erase your photos, downloads etc.
5. Select the option Clean to Install a new ROM
6. After that, locate your ROM, persumably in your Download folder, and select to install it
7. If nothing happens and you get a buttload of text displayed, that means your ROM is installing
8. If a graphical setup launches, that means the dev has considered to give you some options, choose wise
9. After the flash don't restart the phone if it prompts you
10. Wipe Cache and Dalvik/ART Cache, otherwise you might cause your phone to be in a softbrick state
I have a doubt, I always see G920F written in some things, but my device is G920I. Is there any problem I use anyway?
