hi again, it would be great to add in quick settings the quick tiles in the title, that would reduce a lot the need to press the hardware power button in the phone!
thanks bye!
Long press "Display Off" in Quick Tiles should bring up shutdown/reboot options.
It works on Galaxy N7000 and P5100 for me...

did you notice the ok button in the upper right corner of the screen (in the taskbar next to your battery symbol?) ... made that mistake myself an hour ago

change only one menu point - then press the back arrow button to save your status - go to the menu again - change one - save - repeat...
works for me.

Hey guys, so I have a fresh CM10 running and I have a few questions
This may sound ridiculous, but how in the world do I edit / remove a contact? I've long-pressed, swiped, double tapped, nothing opens a menu, and there is no menu button?
Secondly - I have noticed since installing CM10 my GPS doesn't work, at all. Any advice on where to go with that?
Bump
Bump. Surely someone else has had this error it being the most popular rom?

I'm not on CM, i'm on AOKP but the process should be similar. Contacts>(choose one)>Options key (Usually remapped to right most capacitive key)
What ROM did you come from? What build are you on now? What all did you wipe before and after you flashed? I hope I can somewhat help you!
O wait some ROMs have remapping and don't have a menu button stock. Go dig in settings/ ROM controls and try to remap a button to "Menu". Maybe that will work?

I can't seem to find any rom controls. This is kind of silly though I mean a menu button should be present in every menu.... Kinda disappointed that I have to do this with such a well known rom.
I came from a fresh root and wipe / unlock.

I am on PACman which has a base of CM10.
Try going to settings -> System -> Hardware keys -> enable custom actions and it should give you the option to set up a long press remap for a menu option.

There is no "Hardware keys" section, or custom actions from what I've seen. I've been digging consistently too : /

Let me flash it real quick and see what's going on with this.
EDIT: Flashing now
EDIT2: You say there isn't a "hardware keys" section under system? I beg to differ. I found it first attempt.
open your settings
you have wireless netwroks at the top of your settings
under the wireless network section you should have interface
in the interface section is system
click that
the bottom option is hardware keys
click that and have fun.

I understand. All AOSP ROMs are completely custom to the user, meaning they can program what buttons they want to do what. Which is why it's not set as default. And yes, you are blind.
Also, edit your title and put solved in it. That way someone doesn't come in here and try and answer this a month down the road, when it's already been answered.
Hello xda developers,
I just flashed CyanogenMod 10.1 nightly which installed android 4.2 onto my Samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1 model GT-P5113. I am really happy with this update as I was able to keep my tablet rooted and upgrade to Jelly Bean. However, I am not sure about how to either add or setup a screenshot button like I had in the stock Samsung android ICS. is a screenshot setting available for Jelly Bean version 4.2? I would like to set up a screenshot option so that i can take a screenshot at anytime.
I thank you all for your help and assistance
-droidshadow
Sent from my GT-P5113 using xda app-developers app
Search in settings -> system -> power menu -> and ativate "screenshot" option.
Then if you long press power buton you will have the option to take a SS.
oh so thats how you do it...
Duarte777 thank you so much for your response. I really appreciate your help with this. Do you know if its possible to add a button so that it can do the screenshots instead of having to use the power button constantly? If anyone knows how I might be able to add that function I would be very
grateful.
Thanks

Pressing Volume Down + Power at the same time makes a screenshot.
Works on all Stock Android style ROMS like CM and AOSP.

i'm using that trick too
pressing power + volume down at the same times
okay okay...
I have been using the power button to take my screenshots, but what I really want to know is how I can add a button on the bottom menu with the back button and home button so that button can be my screenshot button. If anyone knows how to do that I would be really grateful. I tried adding a button but all I can add is a menu button or a blank button or a search button. I did that from settings...
Any ideas?...
Hi guys,
since I upgraded to P the shortcut on the Lockscreen to open the camera is gone. I can't find anything in the settings to re-enable it.
Any help, please?
Kr, Ralf
It's gone from the lockscreen. You can double press the power button as a camera shortcut. Search settings for "Camera" and go ti the "jump to camera" option and enable it if needed. I've always used the double press of the power button so I didn't miss the lockscreen one.

Thanks for your response.
I know about the double press "gesture", but I don't like it... Sad that the Lockscreen shortcut is gone...a real regression for me, and I can't think of a reason why one would remove such a feature?! Has been there for ages (on other devices, that is...)
Hi all,
I've received the Pie update, and with some tweaks I'm kind of satisfied.
My current problem is that HTC managed to include the new volume menu (the one that shows on the side of the screen when you press a volume button) but somehow forgot to add the similarly styled power menu.
Anybody knows of any alternative to getting that power menu?
Thank you all for your time!

Unfortunately not.
Hi,
In this menu, a small toothed wheel underneath, which develops all the functions of sound.

Sorry, you misunderstood me.
I'm not interested in the sound menu.
I want the power menu to be in similar style to the sound menu.
See the attachments for reference.
