I don't know about the bravia engine, but I have the beats hack on my GP 4.0 and all it really does is increase the overall output (db) of the audio. But you have to turn it on first to actually hear how much louder and clearer it is.
you definitely hear the difference when you use beats audio...but same as obscuresword said..i cant say it for the bravia..
I've flashed the Bravia Engine from here http://xxxpachaxxx.kleinrealms.com/?p=52 on my EVO 4G (still hangin' on) and don't really see a difference, although others have said they have. YMMV I guess...
It depends probably on ROM which you have installed. When i had normal CM7 without beats audio hack included soud was normal, and when i installed this hack, sound was also normal. But when I installed ICS style by JM (based on CM 7) and there was audio beats included, sound is perfect especially on headphones give a try on other roms and you should see difference

You do know that awesome beats is literally 'DSP manager' (ie this app) with some slightly tweaked libs and files to make it give the beats effect right? A proper sound thing like SRS is better IMO

I use PlayerPro with iOS 7 skin.
Great, minimal looks and for obvious the player is awesome, if you want to change the loudness, you may equalize with the PlayerPro DSP Pack. I'm a PlayerPro fan and I prefer it more over the Poweramp.

[Q][Xperia E] What audio engine do you use?

Hi! I have heard of ACID, Viper, and other sound engines. I'm just wondering what audio engine are you using on your Xperia E or are you using the stock xLoud. And which would you suggest as the best fit for Xperia E?
I'm using viper's right now. thanks...

I use PureAudio by Jeeko. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=41786745&postcount=1
Although I'm not a fan of anything associated with Beats, I like this engine. It really gives a nice, richer sound, because the audio renders a lot faster. This is not a placebo, and I promise you will find a great improvement, especially in songs with a lot of vocal.
I had it on my CM10, and then I had to reflash it. I listened some music without this engine, and you really miss it. My example is Demons by Imagine Dragons. It starts with a nice vocal, and somehow the voice of Dan Reynolds sounds better with this audio. Hard to explain, you have to experience it yourself.
Note: I'm talking headphones/earbuds here. The sound of the speaker won't be much better.
Hope I informed you well, and have a nice day!

hello buddy here is a little trick that u can enjoy good quality of sound on both speaker and headphones. Tried and tested and hundred percent working in stock rom of XE. for me viper is the best just u have to be rooted. install the app viper4android and install the drivers from the app itself. Now using root browser remove sound enhancements and and music fx but dont remove the libs.
reboot.
et voila!
u have now viper but also fully functional xloud on ur XE.
:highfive:
I use v4a, and will always keep using it. I prefer it because I like the Dynamic Bass System. It'll literally create that BOOM-BOOM effect if u know what I mean (earpods/earbuds/headphones)

[Req] A mod or something for improve the sound of the headphones

Hi. I adquired a Xperia L and everything is good except for the volume and sound in the headphones. I used to have a Live with walkman and the sound was much better. I tried with viper4android but it have too many options and the sound is not so good. Can anyone would recommend me a mod? I looked in google but i can't find anything

You can try increasing the Max Gain value in Playback Gain Control of V4A, that should help, if all you require is higher volume..
And I would really recommend giving V4A another shot, the many options may seem intimidating at but once you try out different settings, you may come to love it (like I did ). Especially the convolver function, tty it out bro, you can find many good IRS samples all over the internet and here on XDA too.. I use BBE Generic Preset 4 myself..
I don't know much about other sound mods, sorry.. Hope this helps.
You can try ThunderZap v4 kernel, it has Sound Mod

That is true, but the effect is not that big... Only a little increase in the volume level (tried with my earbuds, not headphones though). At least, thats what I've experienced.

Different Kernels
Hi! I strongly recommend any kernel that you want for improving sound with your headphones, specially
Thunderzap v.4.1 r-2
or
Phantom v7.
If you have JB i recommend too the Phoenix Kernel for Xperia L, developed by the team of Navneet Suresh.
i recommend ViPER4Android :good:
