you still can receive notification of firmware update from samsung by using this rooting method with one condition"you must log in to your samsung account" but if you download the update, it will not installed onbyour device cos fota from samsung not work on this cwm and most of other custom recovery
so i suggest you, if you have the latest firmware and you root it, than you receive update notifjelly bean maybe ) you must flash it to stockrom again or stock recovery. again with odin...

Thanks. Im on stock gingerbread and rooted using your files. If I flash the stock recovery back will the ota jellybean update install properly then? Will it overwrite the rooting files or is it better to flash the stock rom instead of just stock recovery?
Sorry I understand your reply now. When jellybean update is available I should flash either stock rom back or stock recovery.. If just stock recovery is flashed does the update overwrite the root files?
How do I flash the stock recovery? I have my stock rom file and I extracted recovery.img but does it need to be made into a .tar file or something to flash it? Thanks.

If you meant this steps:
1- I was in 11.2.A.0.21 CE;
2- Flashed 11.0.A.7.5 CE (unbranded) with flastool WITH wipping data (if you don't select "wipe data", the phone doesn't boot);
3- Rooted with UnlockRoot;
4- Updated over the air to 11.2.A.0.31;
5- Reinstalled Superuser from the Play Store.
Yes, I tried and it works.

Root

Sorry about my english...
I have an Xperia E c1604 Dual Android 4.1.1 Firm ( 11.3.a.3.1) and need to know how to root my device, can anyone help?
https://towelroot.com/
Towelroot would be the perfect answer. Countless attempts prove it works on almost any ROMs(non HTC).
After you install the apk, just use it, no reboot needed, and you will be thankful for that. ;-P
I personally used it on my ZL .101.
After rooting, you should get a root permission management app, such as SuperSU or Superuser.
Hope you enjoy it.

If you are using farmaroot u can't see "SuperSU", u will se "Superuser".
Install framaroot, select "Gandalf" then click install or root whate ever it's written, and have a rooted phone.
