This is to help anyone with a similar device and I'll be brief;
First Install The Windows Drivers (you know, so you can actually talk to it)
i.e. from here... http://www.cnx-software.com/2013/11/08/simplified-method-to-install-rockchip-usb-drivers-in-windows-xp78/
If you have two Micro USB ports, work out which one is the power only v's the switchable USB guest / host one.
In setting, enable USB debug & then enable USB "connect to PC"
Windows should now detect and load the drivers for the device.
When the device is rebooted, you'll need to re-enable the "connect to PC" setting each time.
I found this package online that works for root but they left out of the script to copy the Super User App to the device. http://www.cnx-software.com/2013/03/19/how-to-root-rockchip-rk3188-mini-pcs/
The Archive Contains these files you'll need;
binary "su"
binary "SuperSU.apk"
binary "busybox"
binary "RootExplorer.apk"
It also contains the standard adb application
"TPSparkyRoot.bat" [modified] should contain;
Code:
@echo off
CD /D "%~dp0"
echo *---* VonDroid.com N101 II Root Tool based on work by sunnydavid *---*
echo --- Plug in your device, make sure debugging is enabled in Developer Options
echo --- This script will now copy files over to your N101 II
echo.
adb shell mv /data/local/tmp /data/local/tmp.bak
adb shell ln -s /data /data/local/tmp
adb reboot
echo --- Reboot 1/3 - Press Space Bar once the device has rebooted
pause
adb shell rm /data/local.prop > nul
adb shell "echo \"ro.kernel.qemu=1\" > /data/local.prop"
adb reboot
echo --- Reboot 2/3 - Press Space Bar once the device has rebooted
pause
adb shell id
echo --- If the ID shows as 0/root then continue, otherwise CTRL+C to cancel and start over
pause
adb remount
adb push su /system/bin/su
adb shell chown root.shell /system/bin/su
adb shell chmod 6755 /system/bin/su
adb push busybox /system/bin/busybox
adb shell chown root.shell /system/bin/busybox
adb shell chmod 0755 /system/bin/busybox
echo --- Installing SuperSU
adb push SuperSU.apk /system/app/SuperSU.apk
adb shell chown root.root /system/app/SuperSU.apk
adb shell chmod 0644 /system/app/SuperSU.apk
adb push RootExplorer.apk /system/app/RootExplorer.apk
adb shell chown root.root /system/app/RootExplorer.apk
adb shell chmod 0644 /system/app/RootExplorer.apk
echo Completing Root
adb shell rm /data/local.prop
adb shell rm /data/local/tmp
adb shell mv /data/local/tmp.bak /data/local/tmp

This is doing way to much extra while unrooting. Since you would already have root by this point, you can just call su to do all the removes and then remove su last. This can be done from adb or any root file explorer like es file explorer (which will also allow you to mount the file system).

[GUIDE][ROOT] Root almost any china android phone

Use any 1 of the following methods.
I have personally tried these on 2 of my china android phones.
1. Using linux {Recommended}Install Ubuntu or DebianEither
Install the android-sdk.
dl.google.com/android/adt/adt-bundle-linux-x86-20130717.zip <==x86
dl.google.com/android/adt/adt-bundle-linux-x86_64-20130717.zip <==x86_64
or
Just get the standalone adb and fastboot executables
texasice-cream-sandwich-mirror.googlecode.com/files/adb_fastboot.zipInstall ia32-libsRun this in a terminal
Code:
sudo apt-get install libc6-i386 lib32stdc++6 lib32gcc1 lib32ncurses5
Now download the files required for root and put it in the same folder as adbmir.cr/GDEPZT4VAfter you finish installing the files,
Connect your device with debugging mode enabled
Run
Code:
cd path/to/adb
where "path/to/adb" is the directory of your adb file
Now run
Code:
sudo chmod a+x adb
sudo chmod a+x fastboot
>>Root
Code:
./adb devices
./adb push psneuter /data/local/tmp/
./adb push busybox /data/local/tmp/
./adb push su /data/local/tmp/
./adb push Superuser.apk /data/local/tmp/
./adb shell
Chmod and run the exploit under adb shell
Code:
cd /data/local/tmp/
chmod 755 psneuter
./psneuter
Now re-engage an adb shell to check if the exploit worked.
Code:
./adb kill-server
./adb devices
./adb shell
If you see a # sign, the exploit was was successful. Otherwise repeat from >>Root
Now run these on the same adb shell
Code:
cd /data/local/tmp
./busybox ash
mount -o remount,rw /dev/block/mtdblock0 /system
cp /data/local/tmp/su /system/xbin/su
chmod 6755 /system/xbin/su
chown 0.0 /system/xbin/su
cp /data/local/tmp/Superuser.apk /system/app/Superuser.apk
chmod 777 /system/app/Superuser.apk
cp /data/local/tmp/busybox /system/xbin/busybox
chmod 6755 /system/xbin/busybox
Now reboot your device and open up SuperSU. Let it update the binary.
Your device should be rooted. 2. Use Windows + MoboroboMethod 1 {Recommended but hard}
Download Moborobo from
Code:
moborobo.com
This software can Install drivers for many china phones and other branded phones.
After installing Moborobo download the files required for root
Code:
mir.cr/GDEPZT4V
Extract the files to the installation directory of Moborobo.
Code:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Moborobo
Run a CMD window under that directory and type
Code:
xcopy AndroidInterface.exe adb.exe
Connect your device in debugging mode & Open up Moborobo, It will install the drivers.
Keep Moborobo open & Follow the instructions mentioned in >>Root
P.S- the linux commands begin with a "./" remove this in windows or else it won't work. Note: Wherever I mentioned a terminal, the windows equivalent to this would be cmdMethod 2 {Easier}
Download and Install Moborobo just like above and run this under a cmd on that folder
Code:
xcopy AndroidInterface.exe adb.exe
Also download UnlockRoot or SuperOneClick
To make sure the adb files are of the same version, Copy over
Code:
adb.exe
AdbWinApi.dll
AdbWinUsbApi.dll
to UnlockRoot's tools directory or SOC's ADB directory
Connect your device in debugging mode and open up moborobo.
Now keep Moborobo open and Run UnlockRoot or SOC. Good Luck :good:

I said follow the instructions mentioned in ">>Root".
I named a step in Method one as ">>Root". So I meant you should repeat those steps.
Now download the files required for root and put it in the same folder as adb
mir.cr/GDEPZT4V
Click to collapse
What files?
EDIT: managed to do all the steps using method 1 in windows but got this message with executing ./psneuter :
mnmap() failed. Invalid argument
I used windows to root
failed at adb shell psneuter command...
/system/bin/sh: psneuter: not found
how to proceed ?

Can you root an XT925 without unlocking the bootloader?

Thinking about buying this phone, but don't wanna void my warranty. I've seen a wealth of information, but I am confused as to what is outdated or not.

I use the method and files from my XT902 but it works. I don't remember the source of this method (Sorry). I made several changes. My HD is OTA updated from 4.0 to 4.1.2. Here is the method (The risk is yours):
1) Preparation
- SDK & USB Drivers
- Download file from the following address: http://www.mediafire.com/download/13htvihh6c2mhs2/HD.rar or scroll down
- Unzip the file to a specific folder (I put HD folder to the root of C drive)
2) Plug your HD to PC (connect as MTP, unknown source and debugging is on, of course)
3) Do these command (at the directory where you put and perform the adb commands)
- adb push C:\HD\su /data/local/tmp/su
- adb push C:\HD\Superuser.apk /data/local/tmp/Superuser.apk
- adb push C:\HD\busybox /data/local/tmp/busybox
- adb push C:\HD\auto_root.sh /data/local/tmp/auto_root.sh
- adb push C:\HD\unlock_security_module /data/local/tmp/unlock_security_module
- adb push C:\HD\break_setresuid /data/local/tmp/break_setresuid
- adb push C:\HD\mole-plough-ccsecurity.so /data/local/tmp/mole-plough-ccsecurity.so
- adb push C:\HD\mole-plough-lsm.so /data/local/tmp/mole-plough-lsm.so
If any file is pushed unsuccessfully, you have to re-push it, of course
4) Use unlock_security_module to obtain temporary root
- adb shell
- [email protected]:/ $ cd /data/local/tmp/
- [email protected]:/data/local/tmp $ chmod 777 *
- [email protected]:/data/local/tmp $ ./unlock_security_module
- [email protected]:/data/local/tmp $ ./break_setresuid
You’ll see messages about the process. If it fails, then I’m sorry, I don’t know why yet. If it works without “fail”, you success. Here you’ll something like: Unlocked LSM, Do setresuid… I don’t remember them exactly and after all, the command will change from shell ($) to su (#).
5) Load su, Superuser.apk busybox to system
- [email protected]:/data/local/tmp # mount -o rw,remount /system /system
- [email protected]:/data/local/tmp # cat /data/local/tmp/su > /system/xbin/su
- [email protected]:/data/local/tmp # cat /data/local/tmp/busybox > /system/xbin/busybox
- [email protected]:/data/local/tmp # cat /data/local/tmp/Superuser.apk > /system/app/Superuser.apk
- [email protected]:/data/local/tmp # chmod 644 /system/app/Superuser.apk
- [email protected]:/data/local/tmp # cd /system/xbin
- [email protected]:/system/xbin # chown root.root su
- [email protected]:/system/xbin # chown root.root busybox
- [email protected]:/system/xbin # chmod 6755 su
- [email protected]:/system/xbin # chmod 755 busybox
- [email protected]:/system/xbin # mount -o ro,remount /system /system
6) When it’s done, you can remove the cable from PC. Check and see if SuperSU was installed. If it wasn’t, you can download it (SuperSU) from Play Store. Install busybox from Play Store and do the Smart Install. Your HD is now temporary rooted so do not reboot your phone.
7) Install Script Manager – SManager (devwom) from Play Store. Run SManager and choose Browse as root.
- Navigate to /data/local/tmp/ and open auto_root.sh as Script/Excutable (touch and keep for a while).
- Toggle Su on (the icon will change colour to green) and save.
You can reboot and enjoy your permanent root now.

[Q] Help! Problem with Tablet Olidata WB7-l

Hi! I'm a noob user, with a weird tablet.
The brand is Olidata (Chile), and the model is Wb7-l. The first problem was that the tipycal: many worng pattern attempts. I though about the usual: hard reset, but this weird tablet doesn't have one!So I tried all button combinations to enter th the hard reset menu, but was unuseful.
Then, I found a post, it said that with a program I could put anoter ROM (PhoenixSuite), and with the ADB Drivers. I could put another ROM, but the touch system doesn't work. Then I searched a second and a Third ROM, but was the same. Then, I remembered that the chip was a A13, and I found another post, where a user said that with a script you could fix that problem. I use the script and... it died :crying: . After that, i tried to connect it to the computer again, but I couldn't.
THEN, i read the script. Now, i'm really really afraid, because maybe the Tablet is dead.
Here's the script:
(I open it with notepad)
@ECHO off
echo Remount
adb remount
adb shell cd /
echo Mount root
adb shell mount -o remount,rw -t ext4 /dev/root /
echo Make dir bootfs
adb shell mkdir bootfs
echo Mount bootfs
adb shell mount -t vfat /dev/block/nanda /bootfs
echo Copy script.bin
adb push "script.bin" /bootfs/script.bin
echo Copy script0.bin
adb push "script.bin" /bootfs/script0.bin
echo Copy zet6221.ko to /system/vendor
adb push "zet6221.ko" /system/vendor/zet6221.ko
adb shell chmod 644 /system/vendor/zet6221.ko
echo Copy zet6221_ts.idc to /system/usr/idc
adb push "zet6221_ts.idc" /system/usr/idc/zet6221_ts.idc
adb shell chmod 644 /system/usr/idc/zet6221_ts.idc
echo Copy preinstall.sh
adb push "preinstall.sh" /system/bin/preinstall.sh
adb shell chmod 755 /system/bin/preinstall.sh
echo Copy setupsensors.sh
adb push "setupsensors.sh" /system/bin/setupsensors.sh
adb shell chmod 755 /system/bin/setupsensors.sh
pause
adb shell reboot
How can I undo what I did? What's the right ROM? (The other one was one called F1(A13)-20121129.1.1.1- )
Please, please help
(Sorry for my weird english, I know just a bit )
